Clearly Jennifer Lopez had at least one big fan cheering her on during last night's American Idol premiere. Gushing about his new sugar mama, Casper Smart took to the Twitterverse yesterday to express his affections for Jenny From The Block.
"Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant," he posted. "Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite...Our ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining."
Obviously with that tweet, Smart was firing back at the critics who say he's too young for the 42-year-old mother of two. But passion seems to hold no bounds for these lovebirds, as J.Lo emphasized when she re-tweeted his post.
And from the paparazzi front, the PDA fire is still burning very hot. Cameras caught Casper and Jennifer getting very cozy on the set of her new music video.

It's funny how a wave of backlash can change a celebrity’s mind. Just a few days after Kate del Castillo proudly tweeted her affections for drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, the actress backtracked on her statement.
"It's unfortunate that some people have misinterpreted my tweets," Kate said. "I'm sorry if there were any people who were offended. My only intention was to bring a message of peace."
Obviously preaching about an infamous cartel leader was not the right move if you're hoping to spread a message of "peace." But, in actuality, we do believe that del Castillo's heart was in the right place.
Reading between the lines, it's clear that Kate's original post was meant to encourage government officials to take better care of their citizens. Perhaps if she wants to make her messages more precise, La Reina should hire her own "official" to take better care of her tweets.

Did Kate del Castillo take her role in La Reina del Sur just a little too far? The Mexican actress caused a whirlwind of controversy yesterday after Tweeting supportive messages to notorious drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzmán.
In actuality, Kate's posts were more anti-government than pro-drugs. In a very long message, del Castillo called out corrupt political officials.
"Today, I trust in El Chapo Guzman more than I do the governments that hide painful truths, that hide the cure for cancer, AIDS, etc. for their own benefit and wealth," she wrote.
And for the record, Kate's Twitter was not hacked before the statement went out. Her publicist confirmed that all of the words were written solely by Del Castillo.
Guzman, who's currently on the run from the law, has been known to be a ruthless figure. His cartel is responsible for thousands of murders. So while Kate's heart may be in the right place, perhaps she should have picked a different outlaw to prove her point.

Stealing a bit of thunder from JLo and Casper Smart, Marc Anthony hit the Twitterverse today to announce his relationship with Shannon De Lima. The sexy Venezuelan model seems to have stolen Marc's heart in a major way.
Throughout the day, Anthony retweeted several loving messages about Shannon and encouraged his fans to Follow her. But the big reveal happened early this morning, when Marc posted,
"A mi @Shadelima mi estatua de libertad. Besos bebe."
Apparently De Lima has strong feelings for "El Cantante" too. She sent her own Twitter love notes and even referenced Marc as #family. Interestingly, People en Español claims that Shannon has a four-year-old son, which means Anthony's #family may be growing by leaps and bounds.

Congratulations are in order for Roselyn Sanchez and her hubby Eric Winter. The happy couple just announced via Twitter that they are now the proud parents of a healthy baby girl.
Sebella Rose Winter made her way into the world this week and, according to Sanchez' Twitter account, both baby and mama are doing great.
"Welcome to the world beautiful Sebella Rose Winter!" she posted. "Mami and Daddy adore you! This joy is overwhelming. Thanks for all of the well wishes!"
This is the first child for Roselyn and Eric, who wed back in 2009. Though no Twitpic was revealed just yet, we imagine little Sebella has got to be one very cute bundle of joy. Both mommy and daddy were former fashion models and make a very attractive couple.

Mexican movie fans are in mourning today after news broke that legendary screen actor Pedro Armendariz Jr. passed away from cancer. Known for his commanding presence and dramatic flair, Pedro made quite a mark in America too, with appearances in Antonio Banderas' Zorro movies and Once Upon A Time In Mexico.
Pedro actually came from an acting dynasty. His father, Pedro Armendariz Sr., was a popular Mexican movie star during the 1940's and 1950's. He too crossed over, entertaining American audiences in the classic James Bond film, From Russia With Love.
Armendariz Jr. started his career in the 1960’s and went on to make hundreds of classic Spanish movies. By the 1980's, Hollywood came calling and Pedro began appearing in a ton of star-studded films. He acted alongside Diane Lane in A Walk On The Moon, Brad Pitt in The Mexican, and even nabbed a role in a James Bond flick (just like his dad), appearing in 1989's License To Kill.
Sadly, Armendariz had been battling cancer in the past several months and succumbed to the disease this past weekend. Mexican President Felipe Calderon issued a statement immediately after the news broke, saying Pedro was "a great actor who reflected well on Mexico at home and abroad."
Several of Armendariz' co-stars took to the Twitterverse after hearing the news, expressing their love and sympathies.
"Noooooo! I am filled with sadness!” Eiza Gonzalez posted. "I can not believe Pedro Armendariz is gone. RIP an incomparable talent!"
Lucero wrote,
"I'm so sorry the loss of Pedro Armendariz Jr. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Much love."
"My deepest condolences to the family Armendariz. We will really miss Pedrito. A marvelous actor and a wonderful human being. Very sad news," Sandra Echeverria Tweeted.
Diego Luna, who will be in Pedro's final film, Casa de mi Padre, also shared some heartwarming memories.
"Pedro is one of those people who made you smile just seeing them," he wrote.
With so many friends and fans, we imagine Armendariz will have quite an emotional funeral later this week. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

It's been quite an eventful few days. This past weekend, there were Hanukkah candles, Christmas parties, and Kwanzaa celebrations in full force around the world. And in good old La La Land, plenty of our favorite celebs made sure to kick off the festivities too.
Justin Bieber pulled out all the stops and surprised a childhood friend in Canada with his gift: a Ford Mustang convertible.
Hanukkah (which started last week) proved to be quite a popular topic among Hollywood Tweeters.
Bieber also made a point to issue Hanukkah shout outs to several of his Jewish friends.
"Happy Hanukkah @dankanter @yaelkanter @allisonkaye @carinmb @scooterbraun," he wrote.
Private Practice’s Taye Diggs posted:
"Yo! Wishing all of my funky fresh Jewish folks Happy Chanukah!!! Light it up, y'all! (the menorah)".
And Ryan Seacrest confessed his love for Jewish food during the "Eight Crazy Nights."
"I'm not Jewish but the dinner menus tonight makes me wish I were! Happy Hanukkah to all u guys celebrating," he posted.
Christmas happened to fall on a Sunday, but the night before stirred up a ton of celebrity Twitpix. Alyssa Milano posted an adorable snap of her baby son Milo in a Santa Claus outfit. And, as expected, the Kardashian clan made their holiday presence known too. Kourtney’s son Mason posed alongside Uncle Rob and Kylie Jenner for a very cute instagram portrait.
"Wanna tweet a pic of @RobKardashian in his holiday pajama's!" big sister Kim Tweeted. "But he won't let me! Our fam pj's this year are so cute! We all look like Santa."
Snooki made sure her Twitter fans got some holiday love too. Posing alongside her boyfriend Jionni, the Jersey Shore star joyfully posted,
"My baby at the end of Christmas! We're still celebratin!"
Of course, if you were really eager to stargaze on Christmas, all you had to do was buy a ticket to the L.A. Laker home game opener. Over at SoCal's Staples Center, stars like Kanye West, Adam Levine, Wilmer Valderrama, and George Lopez showed their support for the yellow and gold. Not surprisingly, Vanessa "soon-to-be-ex-Mrs." Bryant made sure to skip that event.
Yesterday, the festivities just kept on coming with the annual celebration of Kwanzaa. The African holiday has gained quite a bit of traction among celebrities, with stars like Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, and Angelina Jolie honoring its importance in years' past.
This weekend, Tyra Banks made sure to give the holiday a shout out, lumping it in with all of the other big events of the season.
"Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa! However u celebrate, hope u’re having a #FIERCE holiday fam!" she Tweeted.
We’re definitely in support of that notion. And we’re certain this weekend's new year's parties will provide plenty more creative celebrity tweets.

There is no denying that 2011 was the year of the Tweet. The hashtag social network had a major spike in popularity and was even responsible for breaking a few news stories. But are you curious as to what buzzwords got the most attention? Well guess no longer, Twitter has now released its annual Hot Topic list, which happens to include a few famous Latinos.
On the movie side of things, the 2011 Hot Topics all seemed to be based around comic book flicks. Films like Thor, The Dark Knight Rises, and X-Men: First Class dominated the list. But it’s also interesting to note that The Green Hornet (featuring Cameron Diaz) and Fast Five (with Elsa Pataky) scored high too, proving that sexy Latinas strike a very strong chord in the Twitterverse.
In the music realm, Rebecca Black (who's part Latina) was the number one Tweeted topic. Britney Spears showed she still has plenty of staying power with a #3 ranking for Femme Fatale. You've got to wonder if that massively successful Mexico concert contributed to her continuous stream of Tweets.
Names like Jennifer Lopez and Charlie Sheen dominated the Celebrity Hot Topics, along with several stars who have passed on. Elizabeth Taylor proved to be the most popular female celeb, followed not to far behind by fallen Jackass alum, Ryan Dunn.
In the sports world, teams like the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks stirred up a flurry of activity. And so did Spanish soccer star, Fernando Torres. Interestingly, on the Hot Topics futbol list, Torres ranked higher than both Lionel "Leo" Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Curious about the most posted hashtags of 2011? Twitter went global for this one. #Egypt was by far the most popular, representing the civil unrest that happened there earlier in the year. #Japan ranked in the Top 5 too, as did #ThreeWordsToLiveBy and the Charlie Sheen catchphrase, #TigersBlood.
And, as a bonus, Hispanically Speaking compiled a list of the most famous Latinos to open Twitter accounts in 2011. That would be Christina Aguilera (who signed on in March), Eva Mendes (who joined in October), and good ol' Charlie Sheen, who's gathered 5.8 million followers in just nine months!

Remember those famous locks that Shakira used to shake around in her music videos? They are now long gone. The Colombian songstress debuted a drastic new hairdo on Twitter this week.
"Hace 4 horas estoy estrenando corte de pelo!! 4 hours ago I got my hair cut!" she wrote, along with a Twitpic.
Chopping her trademark blonde hair down to the length of her shoulders, Shaki seemed pretty happy about her new look. But so far, the web reaction has been mixed. Some fans love the new bob, while others still seem to be mourning the dreadlocked Shakira of old.
Interestingly, Too Fab compared the new Shaki to Dianna Agron from Glee. Of course, the She Wolf's "do" is nothing compared to what Katy Perry's done recently.

We have to admit, our minds have been on Robbi 'Draco' Rosa quite a bit recently. The Latin music maestro is still in the midst of battling a deadly form of cancer and, by the looks of his latest Twitpic, things may not be going well.
Rosa appears to be shockingly thin in the photo he Tweeted this week, but thankfully his spirit is still strong. Posting in English, he quoted author Isaac Watts and offered inspirational words to all of his well-wishing fans.
"The hill of Zion yeilds a thousand sacred sweets before we reach the heavenly fields or walk the golden streets," he wrote.
Draco has been keeping a very low profile since his publicized interview three months ago. Clearly in a much weaker state now, Rosa's withdrawn face and shaved head reflect the ravages of chemotherapy. Hopefully the treatments are working and he'll have positive news to share in the coming year.
Our prayers are with you Draco!
