It looks like the Latin American novela world will soon be getting a taste of brooding teen vampires. Taking a page out of the Twilight playbook, Televisa's Tiin channel has just announced its newest soap, Luna Roja, originally created in Portugal.
To be honest, we're actually surprised the novela world hasn't capitalized on this trend sooner. Twilight has been huge with international audiences, particularly because of its elements of high drama and forbidden love.
Roja promises to include all that and then some. Set at a strict boarding school, it's got a sexy young Latina, a pale bloodsucker in a trench coat, and plenty of angry humans with big wooden stakes in their hands.
Set to begin airing later this month, we expect Luna Roja to hit big with the goth romance crowd. That is, until Breaking Dawn Part 2 arrives in theaters.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 premiere took place this week @ the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The fourth installment of the blockbuster film franchise, which hits theaters this Friday, chronicles the lavish forest wedding (one of the biggest weddings shot in movie history), island honeymoon and impending parenthood of mortal teenager Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and her vampire crush, Edward Cullen, played by Stewart's real-life love Robert Pattinson.
The Breaking Dawn - Part 1 premiere event was streamed live on Yahoo!. A spokesperson said the event drew the largest simultaneous audience for a live movie premiere in Yahoo! history.
The premiered was swamped with hundreds of screaming fans. Many had traveled from far away and camped out for days to catch a glimpse of the stars of the vampire series.
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner walked down an appropriate black carpet which welcomed them at the Nokia Theatre. Stewart vamped it up in a long purple and black gown with a thigh-high split, while Pattinson wore a fitted gray suit. The pair, alongside heart-throb Lautner, also in a gray suit, posed for the cameras and signed autographs for their fans.
The star-studded black carpet premiere was full of celebrities including singer Bruno Mars, actors Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ashley Tisdale, and Australians Sharni Vinson and Cody Simpson.
One thing is for sure, even though the premiere has come and gone, the after party was done spectacularly and is one that Hollywood will forever remember. The Chad Hudson-produced celebration took its cue from Twilight and featured a large space transformed partially into Bella and Edward's wedding reception and partially into their honeymoon location. According to The Los Angeles Times, perhaps the most breathtaking design was a set of wooden benches surrounded by vines and more than one thousand wisterias.
I guess we’re gonna have to go see the film to check out these lavish sets! Films buffs have predicted record-breaking ticket sales for the last two parts of the film series, which are adapted from Stephenie Meyer's novels. I know I'll be adding to those record breaking sales this weekend!
Are you going to see Breaking Dawn - Part 1 ? What are you most excited about seeing in this film?

The long-awaited Bruno Mars video for 'It Will Rain' premieres today on MTV. The song was the recently released first single in the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Pt. 1 soundtrack and has received lots of love from fans world-wide.
'It Will Rain' was originally set to be released on October 26th, but the release date had to be postponed. Now you can finally watch the video online, and let us know what you think.
Bruno Mars recently won "Best New Artist" and "Best MTV Push Artist" at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards on November 7th. This could only contribute to the video's success. The talented Hooligan has had quite the exciting year, wouldn't you say?

Attention all monster and ghouls, it's that time of the year again! I can already smell the piles and piles of candy... hmmm. But before any of us can go out and party the night away, what are you going to wear?
Don't worry, I got you covered with this year's hottest Halloween costumes and some cool do it yourself tips that won't break the bank. This year it's all about standing out, so please put that old witch hat and bumblebee costume to rest.
Thinking about being a vampire this year? Sorry Twilight fans, but the hottest trend to re-appear this year are blood thirsty zombies thanks to the hit show The Walking Dead. This is a great costume that anyone can do with little to no effort, depending on how bloody you want to get.
Many stores like Ricky's NYC and Hot Topic carry fake blood that you can smear onto a shredded white T-shirt and tattered jeans. If you want to go all out, why not try a Lady Gaga-esque Born This Way zombie look? With a simple suit and outrageous face make-up you can transform yourself to this. If you want to be a zombie killer, you can dress up as one of the cops on The Walking Dead.
Any barbies out there? Of course, I'm referring to Nicki Minaj, who's crazy outfits have inspired a number of insane costumes this year. All you need is a brightly colored wig, preferably with blunt cut bangs, and the most colorful outrageous outfit you can put together (no giant trasero included). One look that we'll definitely be seeing this weekend is her controversial VMA outfit.
Speaking of controversial celebrities, what better way to remember Amy Winehouse than to be her? The buzz surrounding the premature death of the troubled singer earlier this year will definitely resurrect many Amy's this weekend. Unless you can do your own beehive and have long black hair, this costume requires the purchase of a beehive wig but that's about it. Pair this wig with a white tank, skinny jeans and exaggerated black eyeliner and you're good to go! You can even purchase temporary tattoos designed like Amy's very own, check these out from Amazon.
But who wants to be a dead person when you can be a wild animal? The hottest trend this year are furry animal hoods! Celebrities like Khloe Kardashian, Pink and Vanessa Hudgens have all been caught sporting the trend. You can really test your DIY skills by pairing the hood with other animal inspired clothing and boots or dressing it down like Pink.
If you want to go the royal route this year there are a ton of options. Princess Kate Middleton is a popular choice and for those of you have can't afford the royal price tag, there are many websites like Modern Mrs.Darcy that give excellent DIY tips on how to transform yourself into the royal beauty.
If you're not feeling particularly royal, how about an evil Black Swan? Natalie Portman's Oscar-winning role has given everyone ballerina fever. This look is easy to pull off with a black tutu, a black body suit and ballet flats. Beauty blogger extraordinaire, Michelle Phan, provides an amazing Black Swan make-up tutorial. Phan also gives equally great make-up tutorials for classics such as Catwoman, Disney Princesses and Lady Gaga!
Want to get inspired? Check out American Apparel's DIY Halloween Contest and as Lady Gaga would say, please be safe out there little monsters because you never know what tricks the night has up its sleeve...
What will you dress up as this Halloween?

It may be hard to imagine, but A Better Life’s Demián Bichir could have played a major role in the Twilight franchise. Back when New Moon was in production, director Chris Weitz called Bichir in for a meeting. Interestingly, Chris had actually considered him for a vampire role before deciding to cast him for Life.
Bichir, for better or worse, definitely wound up with the more critically acclaimed part. But he did open up about the bloodsucking role that might have been. Demián jokingly said that, at first, he got his wires crossed and thought his Better Life role had been a part of New Moon.
"Chris me contó que estaba desarrollando un guión, así que por un momento estuve confundido,” he said. “Puesto que no conocía bien el material de 'Crepúsculo', entonces pensé que tenía que interpretar un vampiro jardinero."
Though it would have definitely been interesting to see a vampire gardener, things obviously worked out for the best. Bichir is generating a ton of Oscar buzz for his Better Life performance and landed a new high-profile role in Oliver Stone's Savages.

The Twilight movies are known for a lot of things. Brooding vampires, intricate love stories, shirtless Taylor Lautners…but songs by Bruno Mars? Believe it or not, Mr. Hooligan is hoping to add some memorable music to Breaking Dawn, the final film installment of the series.
The Mars track "It Will Rain" has been chosen as Dawn’s signature song. A soaring ballad, it fits in perfectly with the tortured Edward and Bella storyline. Bruno himself thought this particular composition would be a "perfect fit."
"After seeing the movie, I thought that it would be a perfect fit," Mars told Billboard. "The Twilight movies for me [are] a love story. But it's a dark love story. And I think the best way to describe the song is: It's the darker side of love. I think that pretty much sums it up."
Breaking Dawn is set to hit theaters on November 18, with the song dropping 10 days earlier. Bruno assured Twilight fans that "Rain" was written specifically for the film and even added that he is adamantly rooting for "Team Bella."

C'mon admit it. It's fun to see an actor branch out beyond his "comfort zone." For the past three years, we've seen Taylor Lautner do nothing but brood in the never-ending stream of Twilight flicks. But with this week's Abduction movie, he's getting to flex his action chops and he actually pulls it off rather well.
Granted Taylor has quite a competent cast to back him up. Abduction features the established talents of Sigourney Weaver, Harry Potter’s Jason Isaacs, and, one of our personal faves, Alfred Molina. It's also got a very skilled auteur in the director's seat, namely Boyz N The Hood’s John Singleton.
But the true star of this movie is Lautner, going through the motions of rage, fear, and sadness as he watches his world turn upside down. Taylor plays the role of Nathan Price, a seemingly normal teen who soon discovers he was "abducted" as a child.
Mixing a nice bit of mystery and suspense, Abduction lets the audience share in Nathan's confusion. After seeing his picture on a missing kids website, this seemingly all-American teen has to reevaluate his normal parents and the entire life he knew.
Was he really kidnapped? Are the people who raised him secretly evil? And could there be even more nefarious characters looking to get their hands on the secrets Nathan holds? That's the premise that sets this movie on a fast-paced adventure across speeding trains, massive explosions, and an epic grand finale at Pittsburgh's PNC Park.
Obviously we don't want to give too much away, other than to say that Abduction is a fun thriller that's sure to appeal to Twilight fans and action movie buffs alike. Sure Lautner is no Shakespearean thespian, but he does a great job beating up bad guys and could have a solid future in the shoot-em-up genre.
Bottom line: It's doubtful that you'll be adding Abduction to your DVD library anytime soon. But if you're looking to escape for 90 minutes (and love watching car chases and explosions), this is definitely a solid pick. Taylor's a likeable presence in this and so is his up-and-coming costar Lily Collins (who happens to be a rockstar's daughter).

Twilight fans, sorry for crushing your fantasy of Edward becoming a pop star! Contrary to recent reports, Robert Pattinson has just confirmed that he will not be dropping a solo album. The rumors were sparked after Us Weekly published a report alleging that the movie star wanted to record his own music, but he felt torn between his love for acting and music.
Sounds pretty fabricated to us and his rep indeed confirmed:
"The report is untrue. He is not working on an album right now."
Let's leave the singing to the singers don't you think? It is said that Bruno Mars will form part of the "Breaking Dawn" soundtrack.
Who else do you think should be featured in the film's soundtrack?

Twitch reports that Johnson is now in talks to star as the Giant Goliath in Relativity Media and Temple Hill Entertainment's biblical epic. This take on the classic David and Goliath story, has director Scott Derrickson (The Day The Earth Stood Still) attached and is envisioned to be in the likes of 300 in terms of style.
Now there are already concerns about whether or not Lautner is right for the part because he is 5'10" tall and compared to The Rock's 6'5" it's not really keeping true to the story. Obviously there will be computer generated visual FX to enhance the giantess of Goliath, but perhaps choosing an shorter actor would be wiser, also to calm down religious fanatics who are sure to voice their opinions!

Robert Pattinson fans recently got a taste of the Twilight Holy Grail when footage from the film Breaking Dawn leaked online. Obviously the studio behind the movie is not happy about it and they've accused a 24-year-old Argentine girl of being the culprit.
Summit Entertainment, which produces the Twilight film series, has filed a lawsuit against Daiana Santia and her parents after they traced the leak to her computer. They claim that she hacked into a secure server and stole private images, scenes, and artwork from Dawn, which is set to hit theaters this November.
Part of the reason that the studio's so guarded about this particular Twilight flick is because it is the final film in the series and, obviously, is chock full of spoilers. Not surprisingly, Santia is denying any wrongdoing and plans to fight the charges.
"I couldn't do it again even if I wanted to,” Daiana said. “You enter [the site] by navigating, entering by different links. I only saw it, I didn't distribute it like they say."
Do you think the studio is overreacting to the leak? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.
