By Michael Lopez
When you think about it, J. Lo couldn’t have thought of a better name for her upcoming single. After some disappointing sales with her last album, Brave, a "Good Hit” is exactly what she’s looking for right now.

Though listeners weren’t exactly treated to the entire song, a one and a half minute snippet was released throughout the web today (August 31), giving fans some insight into the musical direction she’s headed towards. Two words…Auto Tune.
It’s also been reported that J. Lo brought along some top talent to bring “Good Hit” to life. Produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, it’s actually hard to decipher that it’s really Jennifer on the mic (there’s some heavy electronics in the mix), but the beat is definitely catchy.
Rumor has it that “Good Hit” is being planned for her next highly-anticipated Love? album. Originally scheduled to be released back in January, Love?’s building quite a bit of buzz (especially after hearing that “Fresh Out The Oven” Pitbull duet) and the new single’s only adding to the hype. We can’t wait to hear all of the “Good Hits” it has in store.

Fresh off her NYE's hosting gig at Tao in Las Vegas, Christina Aguilera is officially back with brand new music in 2010. 'Bionic' is the 4th album for the Pop and R&B star.
Although she's usually known for her piercing high notes, Christina's showing a softer side on this lp set to drop in March. The HOT mami credits her son Max for the inspiration on this album and says that it's about the future.
The new singing style is credited to exploring new parts of herself - and not in a slutty way!
Aguilera had this to say:
"Maybe I've been afraid to do in the past, to allow myself to go to a place of 'less singing.' I'm more vulnerable and more strong at the same time."
Her first single "Glam" has been described as "a poppy hip-hop inflected throwback to Madonna's "Vogue."'
Producer Tricky Stewart called the album "one of her best bodies of work."
"I know that there's a lot of other cool features, like I know that she has Santigold and Flo Rida on there," he continued. "She's mixing it up again. She's singing R&B again, she's doing pop. She's doing it all, but she's found a way to make it all meet in the middle because she's so many different things."
Sound like a hit to us! It's been 4 years since 'Back to Basics'! We're ready for our Christina fix already! (PerezHilton)

Rihanna released her new slow tempo single "Russian Roulette" today to mixed reviews. It definitely won't have fan reciting lines like 2007's "Umbrella." (Ella, ella, eh, eh!)
This is the first single of Rihanna's fourth studio album, Rated R, which Def Jam confirmed will be released on November 23rd. For the LP, RiRi teamed up with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Tricky Stewart, Chase & Status and Ne-Yo, who wrote and produced "Russian Roulette."
The single seems to allude to an abusive relationship, and we can only assume that this album is a form of creative release and may be a brand new sound for the artist; therapy if you will, and similar to Kanye's emotional 808s and Heartbreak.
MTV News caught up with Ne-Yo recently and this is what the writer/producer had to say about Rated R:
The best and safest way I can say this is that Rihanna has some stuff to say and she's going to say it. And she ain't going to make no apologies for it.... I've heard a good majority of the album... world, get ready. That's all I'm going to say : World ,get ready. [MTV News]
So what do you think? Are we ready for an album outlining Rihanna's abusive relationship with Chris Brown? Speak on it below!
Also, if you haven't heard the new track "Russian Roulette" yet, listen to it now on Rihanna's website!

MTV Tr3s loves givin' newcomers a break, so when we found out about up-and-coming pop singer/pianist Karina Pasian, we jumped all over her. Her video titled "Can't Find the Words" premiered today, but the seventeen-year-old Dominicana is no rookie to the game. She's appeared on (and won!) Star Search (holy flashback) and even performed at the White House(!) long before getting signed to Def Jam.
The New York native has worked with the likes of The Dream, Tricky Stewart, Gordon Chambers, Chris Brown, Carlos McKinney and Lil Mama. We love her sound and her positive messages, so we're sure that she's headed for stardom (plus having Quincy Jones as a godfather can't hurt either). Check out the video aquí and let us know what you think!
Love the video? Stay tuned to MTV Tr3s over the next few weeks to find out more about Karina!
