If former actor Ronald Reagan could be a president, why not Wyclef Jean? According to TIME, the controversial entertainer will announce his candidacy for president of Haiti this Thursday (August 5) on CNN's "Larry King Live."

Wyclef recently shared this statemtent with TIME:

"If not for the earthquake, I probably would have waited another 10 years before doing this. The quake drove home to me that Haiti can't wait another 10 years for us to bring it into the 21st century. If I can't take five years out to serve my country as president, then everything I've been singing about, like equal rights, doesn't mean anything."

Although Jean's rep wouldn't confirm the reports, it was acknowledged the singer will be making an announcement tomorrow. She wouldn't comment on what Jean will discuss at that time, so we guess we'll have to wait and see!

The former Fugees rapper has a personal connection to Hiaiti: Jean, 37, was born there but was raised in Brooklyn and New Jersey. The artist is a popular figure in Haiti and contributed his time and resources after the January 12 earthquake through his Yele Haiti foundation.

What will Jean have to do in order to be an eligible presidential candidate? He must prove he's resided in Haiti for five consecutive years, that he owns property in the country and that he has no other citizenship but Haitian.

Who says novelas are just for women? Episode 5 of "Juegos Prohibidos" was jam packed with the kinds of things us guys love to see in a TV show: Guns, intrigue, double-crosses, and both Luisa and Jimena in teeny bathing suits!

Now is it us, or does “Juegos” take a stylistic cue from the American show, "24"? You know, the one where Kiefer Sutherland fights all the terrorists? Remember at the pivotal moments, when the screen starts splitting off into various scenes? Well we’re getting the same vibe here and it actually works rather effectively.

We’ve got to hand it to director, Juan Pablo Posada. He’s created some very stylish scenery and knows how to capture both tension and romance perfectly! The quick cuts, the dramatic close ups, even the comedic timing (particularly in the scenes with Alicia's online boytoy) work a lot better than the average soaps you see on TV.

Who knew Justin Bieber was the next Ashton Kutcher? The pint size sixteen-year-old prankster pulled a larger than life practical joke on rapper/producer Akon.

After stealing Akon's number from his manager's phone, the Biebs called the "Locked Up" singer and pretended to be his illegitimate son.

Justin's manager shared the spoof:

"He was like, 'Daddy, why don't you love me?' It really scared the s**t out of Akon."

LOLs! Later on, a fan of Bieber questioned him about the stunt and Justin was all laughs, even divulging that pranking people is his favorite hobby.

The Biebs then tweeted a caution to potential victims:

“R u Kidding of course I do!! I prank everyone!! No 1 is safe”

While most artists are canceling their Arizona concerts in protest of the state's SB 1070 immigration law, the always original Lady Gaga (who would never disappoint her little monsters) decided to go against the grain and protest in concert at her Phoenix appearance this past weekend.

Gaga told thousands of concert goers:

"I got a phone call from a couple really big rock 'n' rollers, big pop stars, big rappers, and they said, 'We'd like you to boycott Arizona...because of SB 1070. And I said, 'You really think that us dumb fucking pop stars are going to collapse the economy of Arizona?'"

She continued:

"I'll tell you what we have to do about SB 1070. We have to be active. We have to actively protest, and the nature of the Monster Ball is to actively protest prejudice and injustice, and the bullshit that is put on our society." 

"I will not cancel my show. I will yell, and I will scream louder, and I will hold you, and we will hold each other, and we will peaceably protest this state. Do not be afraid, because if it wasn't for all of you immigrants, this country wouldn't have shit."

Now that’s the kind of girlfriend every guy wants, right? Beautiful, successful, AND willing to let you go to a strip club with your friends! That’s exactly what Vanessa Hudgens did when she recently let main squeeze Zac Efron hit the Flashdancers Gentlemen’s Club in NYC!

What kind of shenanigans actually went down that night? According to The New York Post, Zac and his “High School Musical” castmate Corbin Bleu dropped over $2,000 on lap dances and Belvedere vodka! And they got particularly friendly with a Brazilian dancer named Raquel!

Zac confessed his motives to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel last week:

“I'm not really the type of guy that does that kind of thing. I just envisioned myself on a nice couch in stunner shades with T-Pain and Usher making it rain money, and it just wasn't like that.”

On revealing his antics to Vanessa:

“The hardest part was calling [my] girlfriend before. That's the awkward call...How do you even start that conversation?..She was fine with it."

Well at least he had the courtesy to call before, right? Either way, it definitely looks Vanessa might have a one-up on you Zac, so don’t be surprised if her and Ashley Tisdale turn it around for a night out at Chippendale’s!

Ricky Martin credits writing his upcoming memoir as the inspiration behind his decision to to come out publicly last March. Last week, Martin announced that the secrets behind his life and possibly career changing choice will be available for purchase in a few short months when "Me" hits bookstores November 2.

Ricky tweeted his excitement:

"Ok after working for more than a year on my book, i can finally say It's finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im happy to announce that my book titled "ME" will be released and available everywhere on November 2nd. Published by Celebra/Penguin"

Martin shared this statement about his writing experience:

“Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating.”

His bilingual hit "Stand By Me" is currently number one on Latin tropical radio in the U.S. and in Puerto Rico, and number eight on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks!

Y eso no es todo. Prince Royce has been making his mark with international audiences on his first-ever European tour, selling out ten concerts in Spain and Italy. His talent is clearly drawing fans to stand by him, and this is only the beginning.

With "Stand By Me" even getting air time on English-language radio, do you think he has the goods to eventually dethrone the Kings of Bachata?

New moms are often the most hardcore about parenting, right? Enter Gisele Bündchen, who in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar UK expressed her disapproval of American mothers who feed their babies formula.

The Brazilian supermodel shared this sentiment:

''Some people here (in the US) think they don't have to breastfeed, and I think 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?' I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.''

According to Telegraph, Bundchen (who is married to American football star Tom Brady) got up to make pancakes a day after her first child, son Benjamin Rein, was born and was modelling swimwear just six weeks later.

What would make the famous model share such an extreme suggestion? Apparently her comments came after Denise Van Outen said she gave up breastfeeding her daughter Betsy after less than a month because she did not want photographers to take pictures.

Whether or not you agree with Gisele's point of view, one thing's for certain: It's a LOT easier to bounce back from pregnancy when you are blessed with great genes!

Chelsea Clinton wasn't the only new celebrity bride this weekend: Contrats, Alicia Keys! The 29-year-old singer and Swizz Beatz made it official in a private ceremony on Saturday (July 31) by the Mediterranean Sea.

Team Blogamole was surprised (or were we?) when the couple announced their engagement and the baby news in May. On a very spiritual tip, Keys' rep confirmed the nuptials were conducted by the couple's friend, Dr. Deepak Chopra. Nice!

The pregnant bride looked glamourous in an ivory silk gown by Vera Wang and carried a bouquet of purple flowers, while her hubby wore a tuxedo by Tom Ford.

Beatz shared his joy via Twitter on Saturday: "Wowwwwwwwwww," Beatz wrote.

He later posted, "It's a brand new day I feel like Nas and Diddy song love y'all and blessing!"
