Somehow, we just knew the rumors couldn't be true. We are thrilled to report that bachata band Aventura isn't breaking up after all. And even better, the group plans to release a new studio album in 2010.

Marti Cuevas, general manager of the band’s Premio Latin Music label, broke the news in a statement: “El grupo seguirá unido y ya tiene fecha para el lanzamiento de su próximo disco" (The group will remain united and already has a date for their next album release).

Don’t worry, Henry and Romeo still plan to release their highly anticipated solo albums in addition to the group's project. And the group still plans to release another single from their 2009 smash record, The Last.

With such songs as “El Malo,” “Su Veneno” and the Wisin y Yandel collaboration “All Up 2 You” all topping the Latin Singles Charts, the album has made quite an impact since its release. Now they’re hoping to repeat that success by releasing “La Curita” just in time for Christmas.

Unfortunately the group hasn't released any other details about the 2012 album, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we hear something.

Many mainstream music listeners may not know about Aventura. However, this week the Bachata boys are making history by not only out selling the new avant garde sensation Lady Gaga, but they're also the first Latino group ever to snag four dates at New York City's Madison Square Garden with shows tonight, tomorrow and Feb. 1 and 2; putting them in a league with the likes of Madonna.

While Aventura toplines the 19,000-strong Madison Square Garden, Lady Gaga is performing down the street at Radio City Music hall, a 6,000 capacity venue, for an equal number of shows.  That puts Aventura on track to sell more than three times the number of tickets La Gaga can.

By that measure, it may seem odd that, of the two, it's Gaga who gets all the press. To that, Romeo had this to say:

"We don't mind that she's treated differently. We're in a different world. Artists (like Lady Gaga) have a major label and lots of marketing behind them. But it's even more exciting for us to know that we're accomplishing these things without having that machine."

For 21 weeks, Aventura's most recent CD, "The Last," has sat atop Billboard's Latin Music Chart, spawning three No. 1 singles while supporting a tour that ranks among the three top-grossing road shows of '09, right behind Miley Cyrus' and Britney Spears'

With this type of success, rumors of a crossover album plague the Bronx born Bachata crooners. Romeo weighed in on the ongoing controversy:

"Personally I would never separate Spanish and English. I don't want to say we don't care about a crossover. But we're not saying 'Oh, we got to do it.' We're doing things that, honestly, a lot of Anglos can't — like four Garden shows. For us, that's enough."  (NYDailyNews)

Aventura have made Billboard history!  Their latest best-selling album, 'The Last,' has been el número uno on the Latin Album charts for 12 consecutive weeks -- that's tres meses for all you mathematically-impaired gente.

The feat places los Kings of Bachata into an elite grupo de artistas who have held the #1 spot on the charts for 12 weeks or more: Shakira, Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee and Christina Aguilera.   Not too shabby como compañia, verdad?  'The Last' debuted at #1 three months ago and hasn't budged since -- the first time an album accomplishes this en tres años!  We think those collaborations with Akon, Wisin y Yandel y otros have certainly helped las cosas, pero there's no doubt that when it comes to urban romantic bachata, Aventura siguen siendo los reyes!

Felicitaciones chicos!  How are Aventura celebrating their momentous musical acontecimiento?  With a U.S. tour of course!  Aventura will be taking 'The Last' to you starting in November.  Check Aventura's Myspace para más detalles on their upcoming tour!

Don't forget, Aventura are nominated for Best MTV Tr3s Artist for Los Premios MTV 2009, along with Wisin y Yandel, Pitbull, Tito 'El Bambino' y Calle 13Cast tu voto ahora and make it count! Watch Aventura's latest music video, "Su Veneno," below!

As if you even need a reminder...

Aventura drops their highly anticipated album "The Last" today! The "All Up To You" singers are returning to the streets of New York for a frenzy-packed album signing today and are participating in a series of in-store signings near you. We recently spoke to Romeo about what fans can expect on this senior album:

You know, more fusion and I don’t mean fusion with bachata, I mean like four bachatas in there and the rest for surprise; so, there’s a lot things behind that name.

With only forty seven days until "The Last" hits las calles...

Aventura is offering fans an advanced listen to their unbelievably loco collaboration with Wisin y Yandel and Akon titled, "All Up To You." The track is all about un amor gone warhead sour! Las mujeres may play the vengeful heart breakers, but Akon wants to have the last word in this club-bangin' melodrama - no one can freak you like he can. Sounds like a line Romeo would declare.

The group recently spoke about working with Wisin y Yandel on the new track:

A mí no me gusta repetir, pero tengo un respeto y admiro tanto a Wisin y Yandel, que esto era lo que se tenía que dar y el público lo exigía.

There is nothing wrong with repetition if it is this good verdad? Listen to "All Up To You" and let us know if you think it's as blazin' as W&Y and 50 Cent's "Mujeres en el Club" or Akon and Colby O'Donis' "Beautiful." Que crees? [MTV TR3s Radio Noticias]
