Lil Wayne is finally releasing a follow-up album to his platinum LP, Tha Carter 3. Rebirth was originally slated to hit stores last April, but his new rock-esque album will now go on sale December 15th. The album's lead single "Prom Queen" was released in January and didn't receive instant success like Tha Carter 3's "Lollipop."

Hopefully Weezy will have the same level of success on this LP, if he's around to enjoy it that is. Last month, Wayne entered a guilty plea in a two-year-old gun case against him. Weezy admitted to illegally having a loaded gun on his tour bus in 2007 and is expected to spend a year in jail after his February sentencing. Looks like this album is dropping right on time!
