El Cangri was honored for his global youth outreach program, "Corazón Guerrero," and was given the "Emissary of the Muses" award from the nation's largest Latino museum, El Museo Alameda in San Antonio, Texas. The ciudad's mayor also made everyone mark their calendars for Daddy Yankee Day, which was officially set for December 4th. Missed it? No importa...we are spreading the festivities con gusto!

The "Somos De Calle" reggaetonero revealed the following about the local celebration:

Of all the awards I've received, this honor from the Museo Alameda and the city of San Antonio is the best of the best - because it is from the people,' he said. 'I encourage everyone to visit this wonderful museum - there is so much to learn here.

We wonder if he will also give back to la comunidad by giving away free "DY" fragrances on his día especial! Seguro que no, but we are down with the festivities anyway. Are you?

While Latin Pop and Bachata seem like an odd couple, Enrique Iglesias and Aventura are still packing-up stadiums across the United States. Our pretend novio, Enrique assures us it makes a lot of sense:

I thought, my fans knew their music [Aventura], and their fans know my music...so we thought, let's do something where it's like getting two shows for the price of one.

Enrique Iglesias has a history of telling fibs to the press, so when MTV News sat down for an interview with the "Lloro Por Ti" singer we were prepared for him to cry out a couple of far-fetched stories...

Enrique has been headlining his latest tour with Bachata superstars Aventura, and the fly boy revealed a dirty little secret before taking the stage in Hidalgo, Texas. You heard right fanáticos! Pee Wee has officially launched his solo tour. On July 25th the ex-Kumbia King honored his raíces by blasting-off his first show in Texas. Two days later, he performed for a roaring crowd of 3,000 fans in Los Angeles. We also hear that el güey is headed south of the border for an off-the-hook concierto at El Municipio de Chalco in México.

Pee Wee confesses that despite his legal battles with EMI records, he is taking it all in stride and staying true to la música:

Well, as of right now I still don't have a completed album, for the same reason everyone knows about, but [everything will work out] God willing. We are currently trying to straighten out all of the legal issues with the record company, so I can offer my fans a new album.
