The surfboard gods have spoken and this year they showed a massive amount of love for tween stars Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez! Believe it or not, Selena took home five "boards" at last night’s Teen Choice Awards and caught quite a bit of attention for her "Biebs" PDA and her long-awaited reunion with Demi Lovato.
Photographers were all over Gomez and Lovato’s BFF poses on the TCA carpet. Making one of her first major public appearances since leaving rehab, Demi shone brightly throughout the evening, taking home an Inspiration Award and the honors for Best Summer Song.
Selena may need a pickup truck to fit all of the surfboards she nabbed during the night. Scoring honors for Choice TV Actress, Female Hottie, Choice Love Song and more, it was clear that the TCAs couldn’t get enough of the perky Disney Channel star.
Speaking from the stage, a humble Selena explained,
"This is for all of you guys! This isn't mine."
Another huge winner of the night was Taylor Swift, who nabbed five boards of her own. Scoring Choice Female Music Artist, Female Red Carpet Icon, and the Ultimate Choice Award, she incited a ton of cheers every time she took the stage.
Justin Bieber got honored not just for his music, but for his "acting abilities." In what was perhaps the most interesting victory of the night, the 17-year-old pop star nabbed Best Villain for his guest role on CSI.
Plenty of other Tr3s faves earned their moment in the TCA spotlight too. Cameron Diaz nabbed Choice Comedy Actress for her work in Bad Teacher, Bruno Mars got Choice Breakout Artist, and even Rebecca Black earned an award for Choice Web Star.
And outside of the honorees, the TCAs delivered yet another phenomenal moment. Hip-hop singer Sean Kingston made his first appearance since nearly dying in a jet-skiing accident last May and received a massive response from the crowd.

Are you ready for the Latino Choice Awards? If all goes well this August, that may be exactly what the fans will be calling it. This week the latest nominees were announced and there's no denying the strong Hispanic presence. Stars like Selena Gomez, Pitbull, and Enrique Iglesias were all shown quite a bit of Teen Choice love.
By the looks of things, Selena may be the top contender for the almighty surfboard trophy. She earned a total of four nominations in categories like Choice TV Actress: Comedy (for The Wizards of Waverly Place), Choice Music: Group, Choice Music: Single (for "Who Says"), and Choice Female Hottie.
On the movie side, tons of Tr3s faves made the cut, including Pirates of the Caribbean’s Penelope Cruz for Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Unstoppable’s Rosario Dawson for Choice Movie Actress: Action. Cameron Diaz nabbed a comedy nom for her role in Bad Teacher (which we think she's a shoo-in for).
Latino TV stars will also have a huge presence at the event. Demi Lovato got recognized for her role in Sonny with a Chance and Sofia Vergara scored yet another nomination for playing Gloria Pritchett on Modern Family (this time for Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer). Interestingly, Idol’s Jennifer Lopez and The Voice's Xtina will be going head-to-head for the Choice TV: Personality award.
Beyond that, Enrique Iglesias and Bruno Mars got noms for Choice Music: Male Artist and Pitbull received some love from the Choice Music: R&B/Hip-Hop Artist category. Even Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols scored a nomination as Choice Athlete: Male.
So, as you can see, Latinos will be carrying a lot of weight at the upcoming competition. You can see who wins what when the 2011 Teen Choice Awards air live, August 7 on Fox.

It’s pretty amazing that Selena Gomez nabbed a Teen Choice nomination for a movie that hasn’t even been released yet!

Take a look at the trailer for July’s upcoming “Ramona and Beezus” and tell us if you think Selena's on her way to movie star status.
The Teen Choice Awards are an awesome launching pad for a young celeb’s career. It's helped boost star status for peeps like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and tons more. Next month’s ceremony looks to be jam packed with A-List potential!
There’s Katy Perry on host duty (who got a big nom for herself with “California Gurls”), a Christina Aguilera performance, live Miley Cyrus, and more! And don’t think for a second that Selena’s the only Latino to root for that night.
George Lopez is up for best Scene Stealer in “Valentine’s Day”, Zoe Saldana scored THREE nominations in the Actress categories, and Demi Lovato’s fighting for Best Pop Album (Not to mention ANOTHER Selena nom for “Wizards of Waverly Place”).
Good luck to all everyone walking the Teen red carpet! We can’t wait to see who takes home the big waxy surfboard on August 8th!

There's one award Twilight didn't take home last night at Fox's Teen Choice Awards, and that was "Choice Comedian."
George Lopez, who has a new late night talk show premiering this fall on TBS, proved that even though he's not a contemporary of Selena Gomez, R-Patz, nor Demi Lovato, he's still el hombre más chistoso en el barrio. 40+ is the new tween!
George said "Gracias" to the teen academy for picking a Latino as best comedian, and shared his night with his beautiful family.

Who knew that the Teen Choice Awards were all about transformations? Style transformations that is! Este año, not one, but TWO famous raven-haired beauties have decided to hit the bottle before walking the red carpet for the Jonas Bros-hosted event. The bottle of bleach that is. Es cierto, Kim Kardashian has now gone blonde for real after testing out that Beyoncé-looking wig a few months ago, and joining her en una nueva vida dorada is tattoo queen Kat Von D!
So who rocks the platinum locks mejor?
Hmm... tough one. El pelo rubio softens Kat's tough rockera-chick exterior a bit, and Kim's looking like a bronzed diosa in those caramel waves. Pero we're so used to seeing estas chicas con cabello oscuro that we wonder what made the signature brunettes committ to un nuevo look tan dramático. Será verdad que las rubias have more fun? Guess we'll have to wait to find out!
Check out more pics of las estrellas rocking the rubio estilo after the cut and tell us -- como lucen mejor Kim y Kat? Do you prefer them as bottle blondes or brunette beauties?
