Coachella fans have two big reasons to celebrate Snoop Dogg at this year's music festival. For one thing, he's reuniting on stage with his old collaborator Dr. Dre. But Mr. D-O-Double-G is also unveiling his very own cigar line at the event, which he calls Cigarillos.
And just to be clear, Cigarillos aren't just some stogies that Snoop is plastering his picture on. They will supposedly be made of premium tobacco from the Dominican Republic, hand-picked by the rapper himself!
"Throughout my career I have been lucky enough to travel the world and try all different types of tobacco products,” Snoop said in a statement. "During my travels throughout South America and the Caribbean, I was fortunate to encounter this tobacco company, Executive Branch and was so impressed by their commitment to quality, I knew I had to bring them to the States for all my fans to enjoy."
Executive Branch will be distributing the smokes, but the flava will come straight from the Snoop. Cigarillos are priced at 99 cents a pouch and can be found at local markets and liquor stores.

Grammy Award winning rapper and music producer Pharrell Williams will join forces with Academy Award winning film composer Hans Zimmer to oversee the music for the 84th Academy Awards in February.
The producers of the show, Brian Grazer and Don Mischer, announced the musical collaboration after Brett Ratner dropped out as Producer. This will be the first time either composer has worked on the Oscar show.
"I am honored to work with my mentor and teacher, Hans Zimmer and I have wanted to collaborate with Brian Grazer on something for years," Williams said. "I cannot believe I will be joining them and their teams on the most prestigious show of the year, the Academy Awards."
Williams has produced hit songs like Hot in Herre by Nelly, Beautiful and Drop It Like It's Hot with Snoop Dogg, and Milkshake by Kelis.
Zimmer won an Oscar in 1994 for Original Score for The Lion King and has received eight additional nominations for Original Score. Other credits include Rain Man, Gladiator, The Da Vinci Code, The Dark Knight, Sherlock Holmes and Inception.
What do you think of this musical collaboration?

"American Idol" the Hip Hop Edition? According to Snoop Dogg, a rap version of the popular Fox hit could be an instant success. The Long Beach emcee has been pitching his reality rapping competition to major networks as of late.
The rapper said in a statement:
"I'm looking for a deal from a network to find America's hottest 'hood artists.'"
So far, Bravo, Oxygen and their parent company NBC haven't shown interest, but MTV and E! are still considering Snoop's search to discover the next major hip-hop act.
According to industry insiders, Snoop plans on sealing the production deal by enlisting the help of his hip-hop cronies to helm the judge's panel and act as talent mentors.
"He wants to bring in an old-school legend, and he wants to get Jay-Z," an insider said.
While Jay's involvement seems unlikely, Snoop can count on his "High School" co-star Wiz Khalifa, who has apparently shown interest.
So, if not Jay-Z, then who? We're guessing Dr. Dre could be a contender to fill the legend spot, and possibly a seasoned female MC a la Missy Elliott to balance out the bunch.

If you thought the Charlie Sheen hoopla was dying down, think again. Hollywood’s newest chisme king is working hard to keep his "winning" message alive. So much so that he's recruited Snoop Dogg and Korn guitarist Rob Patterson to help create a new hip-hop anthem about the phrase.
"Winning" made it's official debut on iTunes this week and though it's definitely a fun novelty track, much of the public is crying foul. Guanabee called the song a "mess" and fans booed when Charlie debuted it at his live Detroit show.
Truth be told, it does kind of sound like Snoop phoned it in for this one. Though there's a nice metal guitar riff throughout, the lyrics just don't seem to work. Of course, according Sheen it's musical gold.
"I think Snoop did a really good job at kind of encapsulating the whole vibe of you know the movement," Charlie said. "The genesis of the song is about, you know, winning…it’s just everything in life."
On a positive note, if you do decide to download "Winning," a portion of the profits will go to benefit the tornado victims in the southern U.S. But if you're looking for a fun summer dance track, you may want to hold out for a remixed reggaeton version.

Fresh off her Grammy performances with Eminem and Drake, Rihanna took the stage Sunday night to perform a selection of smash hits at the 2011 NBA All-Star halftime show.
The Caribbean beauty belted out "Umbrella," "Only Girl" and "Rude Boy" before Drake joined her for what can only be described as a sexual tension-fueled rendition of "What's My Name," and Kanye West made a surprise Staples Center appearance for "All of the Lights."
Of course, that was just the start of Rih-Rih's star-studded night. According to a People source, the singer then headed to a private Beverly Hills estate to celebrate her 23rd birthday with such special guests as Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron, Cee Lo Green, Diddy, Ryan Phillippe, Warren G, Joel Madden and Christina Millian.
Ms. Fenty donned a peach and purple fringed cut-out dress and was treated to red velvet cupcakes decorated with the letter 'R' and the Barbadian flag.
Noticeably absent were the singer's ex, Matt Kemp, and old/new rumored flame Drake. Maybe they hosted the after-party.

Growing up in Los Angeles, you’re bound to cross paths with a few celebrities. But if you happened to be a student at Long Beach High School back in the late 1980s, you may have shared locker space with both Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg. Cameron admitted on Lopez Tonight that she was a classmate of Snoop’s and even bought pot from him.
“He was very tall and skinny and wore lots of ponytails in his hair and I'm pretty sure I got weed from him," the Green Hornet star revealed to George Lopez and his late-night audience.
Diaz also talked about the tough “LBC” life that Snoop rapped about early in his career.
"High school was pretty rough," she said. "Anytime you heard the locker slam and you’d turn and there was a girl taking off her earrings, she’s pulling her hair back in a ponytail and she's taking all her friends’ rings and coming at you like this. It was like 'OK, everybody get back' and you'd be wondering, 'Is she coming at me?'"
The actress went on to eat a media noche sandwich, spoof novelas and even demonstrate some of those golf skills she's been bragging about. Although she didn't divulge any details about her romance with major league slugger Alex Rodriguez, Cameron did break out into laughter when George showed off his special A-Rod bobblehead, noting that she'd already 'hit that.'

We didn't realize Snoop was so popular across the pond! The West Coast emcee is the royal family's first choice to perform at Prince William's bachelor party.
England's Daily Mirror reported that William's younger brother, Prince Harry, has been trying to book Snoop and UK rapper Tinie Tempah to perform at the upcoming stag party for Will, who announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton last week.
We're assuming the Doggfather said yes because on Tuesday, Nov. 30, Snoop dropped the song "Wet" as his gift to William. The racy tune is a sequel of sorts to his funktastic 2008 hit "Sexual Eruption." Snoop said in a statement:
"When I heard the royal family wanted to have me perform in celebration of Prince William's marriage, I knew I had to give them a little something. 'Wet' is the perfect anthem for Prince William or any playa to get the club smokin'."
To be fair, the song was already slated to appear on the rapper's upcoming album, Doggumentary Music, but it's a nice gesture nonetheless. The song can now be heard at Snoop's official website.
