Shakira's cadera shakin' beats have officially been remastered...

By the one and only Calle 13. The chart-topping threesome were recently in the Bahamas lacing their new track set to be released on Shaki's next album, which is slated to hit stores later this year. Forget your mamacita's old school romántico duet because this single promises to be a rhythmically explosive joint that will have us reminiscing on our "Tango Pecado."

The half-Lebanese singer plans to stay true to her Arabic roots in her música, and recently hit-up Abu Dhabi for a live performance on New Year's Eve. She shouted-out to the crowd:

I'm the fruit of an Arab land, and I'm immensely proud of my Arab heritage. I just wanted you to know that and also that I can't think of a better place to spend New Year's Eve.

We have a special holiday gift for the ladies...

We know you are wondering how to get glam for the holidays, and we have you covered! You don't have to be as bella as Beyonce to look your best during las fiestas. The key to looking flawless is knowing how to enhance your natural beauty with a couple of simple tips. We gathered up grade-A advice from InStylist for Terra.com, Kathy Kopp. Estrellas like Shakira, Daddy Yankee, and Alicia Keys have sought after la Colombiana's expert advice and now you get to test out her skills before attending the holiday block party.

To get the perfect evening look, Kathy recommends to know your skin before applying a drop of make-up:

It's important to know what kind of skin you have. If you have oily skin, then you should avoid shimmery products because it will make your skin look super shiny. Most Latinas actually have combination skin, which is a mixture of oily and dry. In that case, it is best just to apply facial lotion on dry areas.

Once you have your face in check, then you can start creating a nice make-up base:

Besides a good powder, I think a necessary beauty piece to have in your purse is mascara. You can apply it in the morning with a little bit of gloss and you are good to go, but for an evening look, you can mix it up by adding a black eyeliner. For eyeshadows you also want to go opposite the color pallette. For example, if you  have brown eyes, using purple and pink colors will bring out your eyes more.

Kathy also warns to stay away from every chica's common mistake:

The idea is not to go for the colors that are in style, but to pick colors that will compliment your face.

Consider yourself beautified! Learn more of Kathy Koop's tricks and beauty advice. We promise your face will thank you.

Not even la bella Eva Mendes is guaranteed a seat at Barack Obama's inauguration.

Reports forecast that at least 4 million supporters are expected to attend the historic event on January 20th. Shakira and Beyonce have secured spots after being invited to perform live, but what about Eva the diva, who won't be singing the star-spangled banner? Unfortunately, she is turned-down just like most of us.

Eva recently spoke about not being able to snatch a ticket:

I thought I had some pull—I usually do, and I've been shut down. It's the hardest party to get into...We are still working on it, but I understand the whole thing.

They don't want to make it a celebrity studded event because this in an extremely crucial time in our history and in our world right now. I completely understand that. But of course, I would love to go and be there.

According to our research, tickets are ranging from $2,000 to $8,000! We are sure Eva has the bank account to make it happen. Have you tried to hold your spot at the inauguration? [Latina]

We are officially defusing the jealousy war between Juanes and Shakira!

Rumor has it that the Colombian superstars have a secret hatred towards one another based on who receives more merit for their political and social efforts. Juanes recently snagged the America's Trust Humanitarian award for his relief efforts to help landmine victims in Colombia through his organization, “Fundacion Mi Sangre,” while Shaki has been invited to perform at Barack Obama's inauguration in January 2009. Despite their varied philanthropy projects, Juanes and Shakira weave together a common thread of peace in all of their charitable works. The roquero recently set the record straight about the "Hips Don't Lie" superstar.

He assures:

No hay ningún tipo de diferencias (con Shakira). Ni siquiera nos conocemos lo suficiente como para decir que somos amigos o enemigos. De parte mía, hay una admiración muy grande hacia ella en lo musical.

In one spritz, Shaki promises to indulge one of your most deprived senses with a clean and refreshing aroma that embodies the tranquil playas of the Caribbean.

The new scent has been released in France, and is expected to hit the U.S. in early 2009.

Shakira may claim that her "Hips Don't Lie," but are her notorious movimientos hiding a bun in the oven?

The Colombiana sparked pregnancy rumors after announcing that she was embarazada during an interview related to her upcoming album, which she is currently recording. What did chismosos fail to listen to? Shakira meant the comment in a metaphoric context! La chica is actually giving birth to a new set of muses and inspiration for her new album. She may have fooled other gossip fiends, but not us...

Shakira spoke about her plans to have a familia of her own in the future:

Yes I have plans to have my own, not yet because right now I’m quite pregnant with my album and these new songs that I am working on for this next cycle in my life. So, yeah, I am pregnant with songs, but some day hopefully I will like to have children, yes.

Just imagine all of the creative energy she will give birth to when she is actually pregnant! Do you think her longterm squeeze Antonio de la Rúa will be the baby daddy? [MTV TR3s Radio Noticias]

Shakira may have her corazón set on eliminating poverty in Latin America, but the passionate advocate is also publicizing her thoughts on our Presidential campaign in November. The "Illegal" singer affirms that if she could "Rock The Vote" in the United States it would be for Obama all the way.

She states to the Peruvian publication 24 Horas Libre:

Si pudiera votar, lo haría por Barack Obama. Pienso que es la persona que puede hacerle llegar al mundo el verdadero mensaje americano. Siento en mi corazón que él podría reconstruir la paz y la confianza en los Estados Unidos; un país que aprecio profundamente.

Shaki made sure to remind all Latinos in the United States to represent by running to the polls on November 4th. Just a few weeks ago the "Hips Don't Lie" star was shakin' things up at a conference for ALAS, which included the presidents of Mexico, Argentina, El Salvador, Panama and Paraguay. Her revolutionary espírito for global peace shines as bright as her platinum tresses! What political movements are you showing "Un Poco De Amor" for? [24 Horas Libre Peru]
