It's hard to believe that we're about to launch another year of American Idol. It seems like just yesterday when Scotty McCreery charmed the nation with his country crooning, but now the hunt is on to find another superstar. And all of this season's key talent are extremely excited to kick it all off.

"I think that Idol still is the best TV show of its kind anywhere," Judge Randy Jackson told us at an exclusive press conference. "We're the original, we kind of invented this whole game that everybody's now copying."

Indeed, at the A.I. press event, The Voice happened to come up several times. Not that the cast let that "other" singing show phase them. In fact, Ryan Seacrest threw out a few fun jabs at their NBC rivals.

"We never sit down before we do our show and think, 'what are the other guys doing?" Seacrest confidently said.

Jackson added,

"It's like second-chance theater over there."

And as much as NBC would like to hype Xtina and company's big February return, their season one champ seemed to fade away far quicker than anyone A.I. has produced.

And at Idol, the eyes will be focused much more on the shot callers than the contestants. Especially with A-listers like Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler in the judges' seats.

Discussing her approach to critiquing this season, J.Lo said,

"We're going to try to give them advice as we would want advice given to us. At the end of the day, you never know what's going to happen."

Steven
seemed to relish his new role too, though he admitted that his Aerosmith bandmates had a hard time accepting it at first.

"[The Idol thing] wasn't really accepted at first by my bandmates," he said. "But now things are good and Aerosmith sales jumped up significantly since I joined."

All three judges assured the media that the same loose style will remain intact when they step in front of the camera Wednesday night.

"I love how our personalities are so different," Lopez explained. "We each have a different sense of style, but we all have fun with it! Hopefully the audience has been able to get to know us better now. To know us for who we really are."

You can get to know Jennifer, Ryan, Randy, and Steven all over again when American Idol cranks out season 11, tonight on Fox.

It's been quite an eventful few days. This past weekend, there were Hanukkah candles, Christmas parties, and Kwanzaa celebrations in full force around the world. And in good old La La Land, plenty of our favorite celebs made sure to kick off the festivities too.

Justin Bieber pulled out all the stops and surprised a childhood friend in Canada with his gift: a Ford Mustang convertible.

Hanukkah (which started last week) proved to be quite a popular topic among Hollywood Tweeters.

Bieber also made a point to issue Hanukkah shout outs to several of his Jewish friends.

"Happy Hanukkah @dankanter @yaelkanter @allisonkaye @carinmb @scooterbraun," he wrote.

Private Practice’s Taye Diggs posted:

"Yo! Wishing all of my funky fresh Jewish folks Happy Chanukah!!! Light it up, y'all! (the menorah)".

And Ryan Seacrest confessed his love for Jewish food during the "Eight Crazy Nights."

"I'm not Jewish but the dinner menus tonight makes me wish I were! Happy Hanukkah to all u guys celebrating," he posted.

Christmas happened to fall on a Sunday, but the night before stirred up a ton of celebrity Twitpix. Alyssa Milano posted an adorable snap of her baby son Milo in a Santa Claus outfit. And, as expected, the Kardashian clan made their holiday presence known too. Kourtney’s son Mason posed alongside Uncle Rob and Kylie Jenner for a very cute instagram portrait.

"Wanna tweet a pic of @RobKardashian in his holiday pajama's!" big sister Kim Tweeted. "But he won't let me! Our fam pj's this year are so cute! We all look like Santa."

Snooki made sure her Twitter fans got some holiday love too. Posing alongside her boyfriend Jionni, the Jersey Shore star joyfully posted,

"My baby at the end of Christmas! We're still celebratin!"

Of course, if you were really eager to stargaze on Christmas, all you had to do was buy a ticket to the L.A. Laker home game opener. Over at SoCal's Staples Center, stars like Kanye West, Adam Levine, Wilmer Valderrama, and George Lopez showed their support for the yellow and gold. Not surprisingly, Vanessa "soon-to-be-ex-Mrs." Bryant made sure to skip that event.

Yesterday, the festivities just kept on coming with the annual celebration of Kwanzaa. The African holiday has gained quite a bit of traction among celebrities, with stars like Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, and Angelina Jolie honoring its importance in years' past.

This weekend, Tyra Banks made sure to give the holiday a shout out, lumping it in with all of the other big events of the season.

"Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa! However u celebrate, hope u’re having a #FIERCE holiday fam!" she Tweeted.

We’re definitely in support of that notion. And we’re certain this weekend's new year's parties will provide plenty more creative celebrity tweets.

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Lopez volunteered some insight into her dating life as a single mom. Even though las lenguas largas all over the tabloids have been speculating about her new romance with her backup dancer, Casper Smart, JLo claims mum's the word on any juicy details she might divulge.

"Until I'm in a really serious relationship-- because of the babies-- I'm not really gonna be commenting on my personal life."

I guess this is code for "I'm just having a fling." Besides, 42 year old Jennifer might be a bit too mature for her 24 year old male dancer. When Ryan asked her more details about her new baby boy, she laughed and responded,

"What are you talking about? No, I'm a busy girl. I don't have time for all that!"

A successful woman like Lopez is certainly allowed to have a fling every now and again, especially with one of her beefcake backup dancers. I see nothing wrong with that. Just don't go dating only young immature studs, girl. We wouldn't want to start calling you "Jenny Too-Many-Times-Around-The-Block."

Do you think JLo and Casper are a good match, or do you believe this is just a passing fling?

Ready to get into the holiday spirit? Clear Channel Communications sure hopes you are. They've already lined up a ton of musical talent for their annual Jingle Ball concerts.

A holiday tradition for over 10 years, the Jingle Ball shows have delivered some incredible live performances. Mariah Carey, Shakira, and Justin Timberlake have all graced its stage and have been known to break out a Christmas carol or two for the cheering crowds.

This year, it's Jingle Ball L.A. and New York that seem to be attracting the most attention. On the east coast, Clear Channel's Z100 station will be hosting the event, which will feature performances from Demi Lovato, Pitbull, and LMFAO. Newly-single Kim Kardashian will co-host the concert along with her sister Khloe.

On the west coast, Clear Channel's KIIS-FM will oversee the Ball. Ryan Seacrest is expected to MC the festivities, which will feature live music from Lady Gaga, Taio Cruz, and Flo Rida.

The L.A. concert kicks off at the Nokia Theater on December 3, while Jingle Ball New York takes over Madison Square Garden on December 9. Tickets for both shows are on sale now!

Looks like a "fairytale wedding" won't be having such a "happily ever after" ending after all! With only 72 days on the marriage calendar, reality star Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, today on Halloween, citing the typical, irreconcilable differences!

Ryan Seacrest, who is a friend of the family and the producer of Keeping Up With the Kardashians has confirmed the news! He tweeted,

"Yes, @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins."

The filing comes after weeks of speculation of trouble in their brief marriage. Kardashian already had mentioned that living in New York City with her sister Kourtney, her boyfriend Scott Disick and their baby Mason wasn't an ideal situation for the newlyweds.

For Halloween, Kim dressed as Poison Ivy, hosted a Midori Green party and arrived with best friend Jonathan Cheban as her Robin. Batman's poisonous enemy said that her husband was not around because she was headed to Australia this week. Maybe she sent him there to pick up his Batman outfit while she ran to Britney and Angelina's lawyer, Laura Wesser, to file for divorce!!

But is it breaking news? I think we were all expecting this to happen sooner or later...well maybe not so soon, but hey it's really not a shocker! This is absolutely embarrassing not so much for Kris, who at the end of the day got his 15 minutes of fame, but for Kim, whose lavish and highly publicized ceremony came on the heels of the British royal wedding. But while the royal newlyweds are celebrating 6 months of marriage and going strong, the Hollywood wannabe-royals only lasted a mere 72 days together!

The buzz now is that this was all a scam and that the rapid courtship was part of a mega publicity stunt. The Kardashians made tons of money in sponsorship, endorsements and selling photos from Kim's wedding. There's also the two-part E! special of the affair.

So was the whole relationship and marriage arranged by E!? Looking back...Perhaps Humphries wasn't their first choice, because In 2010, E! allegedly began searching New York City for a pro athlete that Kim could date while filming Kourtney and Kim Take New York. Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter were already taken, NFL prospects were slim and New York Knicks forward Danilo Gallinari wanted to meet Kim but he wasn't interested in doing reality TV. They eventually approached New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries who was interested and the rest is reality TV history.

There's no confirmation of this report, but it sounds true, now more than ever.

Do you think the Kardashians would go this far for their reality show?

Steve Jobs made an incredible impact on society as a brilliant innovator in the field of computer technology. In the wake of his death, many have stepped forward to mourn his loss and share how his genius has affected their lives.

Celebrities took to Twitter to express their appreciation and sadness for the Apple founder. Ashton Kutcher tweeted,

"Sending love & light to everyone @Apple & the entire Jobs family. Today we lost a Giant who will be missed even by those who didn't know him... We have all surfed on the wake of Steve Jobs ship. Now we must learn to sail, but we will never forget our skipper... I never thought I could be so busted up about someone I never met. #stevejobs"

Jane Lynch wrote,

"We will miss you, Steve Jobs. Sent lovingly from my iPhone."

Josh Groban shared his first memories of Apple when he was little.

"Such a sad day, I can trace my apple memories to the IIC when I was a kid. RIP."

So can I, Josh, so can I. The IIc was my first computer as well.

Anderson Cooper said it best when he tweeted,

"I think a lot of us dream of making the world a better place- Steve Jobs actually did."

Amen, Cooper.

Alyssa Milano expressed how much Apple products have enriched her life, and I think she speaks for a lot of people.

"Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. You were always a big part of my world with your special inventions. Thank you for your brain."

Ryan Seacrest eulogized Jobs with one of his quotes,

"Have the courage to follow ur heart & intuition. They already know what u truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Alec Baldwin equated Steve Jobs with other great visionaries when he tweeted,

"Sad about Steve Jobs. On par with Henry Ford, Carnegie, and Edison."

Kevin Spacey echoes the famous Apple slogan in his tweet,

"The world has lost a true visionary today. Think different."

Danny DeVito expressed his loss by tweeting,

"Steve Jobs miss you from the planet have you with me every day on earth."

I'm sure most of us will carry around a piece of Steve everywhere we go for years to come.

There is no doubt that many people found out about his death, ironically, through their Apple devices. I found out via a Facebook feed I read on my Mac Powerbook. It is only appropriate that the very device Steve invented would be used to eulogize him and pay tribute to such an amazing man.

How has Steve Jobs enriched your life?

There is no denying that Ryan Seacrest's IHeartRadio Music Festival exceeded expectations. The massive two-day event brought 12,000 fans to the MGM Grand Garden Arena and featured over-the-top performances from Bruno Mars, Jennifer Lopez, Jay-Z, and Lady Gaga!

Sporting massive jumbotron screens, extravagant costumes, and a bevy of choreographed backup dancers, the IHeartRadio setup definitely showed off the best that Vegas has to offer. Tr3s faves The Black Eyed Peas kicked off the event on Friday, blasting through their all-time greatest hits. Tracks like "I Gotta Feeling,"  "Don’t Stop the Party," and "Boom Boom Pow" got the crowd on their feet quick (and so did Fergie's glittery ensemble).

From there, IHeart switched over to another Seacrest fave, original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson. She was followed by the always-reliable Bruno Mars who belted out modern classics like "The Lazy Song," "Grenades," and "Just the Way You Are." Bruno even threw out another tribute to Amy Winehouse with an energetic performance of "Valerie."

Carrie Underwood, Jane's Addiction, and Coldplay (who are also working the Rock In Rio festival later this week) kept the music flowing Friday night, but none of them could compare to the evening's closer. Daddy-to-be Jay-Z brought down the house, first with a live Alicia Keys duet, then with a nonstop barrage of his most famous songs (like "99 Problems," "Big Pimpin'" and more!).

Day two was just as exciting, with continued contributions from Seacrest's A.I. cohorts. Steven Tyler kicked off Saturday night with Aerosmith hits and his new solo single, "Feels So Good." Interestingly, fellow judge Randy Jackson backed Tyler up with some heavy guitar work on the stage.

Nicki Minaj appeared next and was literally wheeled on by a group of dancing doctors. Then came some country twang courtesy of Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney. But after that, it was pure diva! Jennifer Lopez appeared in a dazzling flapper dress and treated the crowd to a video montage of her most famous fashion choices. She then took the mic for songs like "I'm Real," "On The Floor," and her newest single, "Papi."

Obviously J. Lo is hard to top, but Saturday night's closer may just have done it. Lady Gaga was IHeart's final performer and gave the concert one hell of a sendoff. Appearing in leather, chains, and see-through tights, the Little Monster blew threw her Born This Way hits and even got Sting to perform a duet of "King Of Pain" with her.

Truly an event to remember, Ryan Seacrest should be very happy with IHeart's final tally. The event sold a massive amount of tickets and will most certainly be on the Vegas roster for a return show next year!

It looks like Ryan Seacrest is one step closer to world domination. The Radio DJ/American Idol host/E! News guy/Keeping Up With The Kardashians producer is now putting together a massive iHeartRadio concert featuring the music world's biggest stars.

Just listen to the lineup that Ryan has secured thus far. Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Sting, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Nicki Minaj, and John Mayer are just a few of the notables looking to grace the stage. And don't think that there won't be a strong Latino presence there. Reports are also coming in about Bruno Mars joining the festivities.

"This is a once in a generation gathering of artists and fans from all over the country for a true, must-see music event," Seacrest said when discussing the concert. "The iHeartRadio Music Festival will showcase top artists across all genres of music. Listeners from all over America will travel to Las Vegas to celebrate the next generation of iHeartRadio, while seeing the greatest musicians in the world on one stage."

Co-produced by Clear Channel, the iHeartRadio concert is actually an extension of the iHeartRadio radio network, which delivers over 750 music stations. The concert would be a hodgepodge of everything iHeart offers, featuring top acts from a variety of genres.

Set to go down at Las Vegas' MGM Grand in September, you can bet that concert tickets won't be cheap. Seacrest will MC the affair, which will span an entire weekend. Not coincidentally, there will be several American Idol tie-ins as well. Not only will J.Lo be on board, but so will her fellow judge, Steven Tyler.

Tix are going on sale this Saturday and even if you can't make it, there will still be plenty of opportunities to hear the performances. The entire concert will be streamed live on the iHeartRadio website and broadcast on all Clear Channel-owned radio stations.

Apparently, age doesn't make you necessarily wiser…

Hugh Hefner, the pajama-wearing legend, creator and publisher of Playboy, is now paying for all the broken hearts he left behind, including that of her former #1 girlfriend and Girls Next Door co-star, Holly Madison.

Not only did his 25-year-old girlfriend Cristal Harris decided to call off their wedding mere 5 days prior to it, but most importantly, he lost business due to it!

Hefner, who brilliantly found a way to make money out of his addiction to women, never loses a chance to transform anything into a money making venture… And his nuptials were not an exception.

The guy had signed with Lifetime network to air a 2 hour special titled "Marrying Hef". For months since the engagement, cameras rolled, shooting thousands of hours, documenting the details of the wedding, and both, Hefner and Lifetime drooled over the money making prospects of the show.

Now that Harris called off the wedding and "Marrying Hef" is no longer a plan, the network has canceled the special and out the window went the big bucks!

I think Harris behaved like any of us would.

What would you do the day after you call off your 300 guests wedding and leave you ex-fiance broken-hearted?

Go straight to a promotional tour, obviously!

The runaway bride was so compassionate towards her never-to-be-husband, that she was on the air the very next morning declaring nationally to Ryan Seacrest that "it never felt right". How sweet of her!

Now, don't even think this was just an innocent change of heart… Drum roll please…!

The New York Post reported that the original plan was to leave Hef AT THE ALTAR!

"Her plan was to walk up the aisle and say she couldn't go through with it. The wedding was to be filmed for a reality special, and her refusal to marry him would be a sensation. She was looking for a tie-in deal of around $500,000 for the exclusive 'I ditched Hef at the altar' interview. While there was interest, Crystal didn't get an offer anywhere near half a million."

So she walked out!

To make the puzzle even more fun, you do the math: Crystal's brand new single (yes, this girl also wants to be a pop star) "Club Queen" was released on Monday on iTunes, just hours before she decided to leave the Playboy Mansion.

And who do you think is Crystal's song producer? Dr. Phil's son, music producer Jordan McGraw, to whom she's been linked romantically since last week! Lovely!

I don't know about you, but all of this mess, the show, the promotional tour, the affair, the release of the single, the abandonment, makes for a much more interesting reality show than just "Marrying Hef"… "Leaving Hef" maybe?

Now, business-wise, the girl is not so bright! No record deal or contract with Lifetime or any other network can match the reportedly $80 million Hugh Hefner is worth.

And all of that chunk of cash could have been Crystal's, because since Hef was so in love, he was not even going to make her sign a pre-nup.

As for Hef, he's at the mansion nursing his broken heart! Previous Girls Next Door co-stars and girlfriends have tweeted in support of his ex-man:

Bridget Marquardt said,

"Just stopped by the mansion 2 give @hughhefner a hug," "He seems to be handling this well. He even had a sense of humor about it! #LoveUHef."

Holly Madison (Hef’s ex #1 gilfriend retweeted a message from Kendra Wilkinson to Hef:

"@hughhefner, we r comin over w some jack n coke... oh n a pipe lol," Kendra originally tweeted. Holly added to Kendra's tweet, "Wish I was there to support, too!"

Today, Hefner -clearly never loosing his sense of humor (and business) in spite of his broken heart, decided to add a huge sticker to the magazine that reads "RUNAWAY BRIDE in this Issue", since it was too late to redo the whole July Playboy cover, that read "Mrs. Crystal Heffner".

My thoughts? Hef, you should have stayed with Holly all along! Good luck with the next one!

WARNING: This post could either be very depressing or very inspirational. TV Guide recently published an article breaking down the salaries of this Fall’s biggest TV stars and it’s downright insane to hear the kind of figures these peeps are pulling in!

When did “House” become the biggest show on TV? Whether you agree or not, star Hugh Laurie is one of the highest paid dramatic stars in primetime, taking in $400k per show! Calculate in an average of 22 episodes per season and you’re in for an annual $8.8M paycheck.

House

As far as comedy fans go, “30 Rock”'s Tina Fey is laughing all the way to the bank with a rate of $350k per show. And don’t even get us started on Judge Judy! Her hot temper must be working for her because she takes home a cool $45M per year!

We were shocked to discover that Ryan Seacrest pulls a cool $15M annually and Snooki had her rate bumped up to $30k for each “Jersey Shore.”

Interestingly enough, this year’s totals actually worked out pretty well for Latinos. Many of our favorite faces actually topped their respective lists! Eva Longoria Parker, and her three “Desperate” costars, currently make the most per episode of any women on television, with $400k per episode!

We have more eye-popping figures for you, after the jump!
