The judge has spoken...

After pleading guilty for felony assault charges, Chris Brown managed to cop a plea bargain for his attack against Rihanna back in February. As a result, the R&B singer will serve five years probation and volunteer in a domestic violence center in Virginia for 180 days. Rihanna was present at the Los Angeles Superior Court hearing today, but she did not testify against her ex-boyfriend. Do you think justice was served? [MTV News]

The verdict is in for the Rihanna and Chris Brown case...

At least when it comes to the star breaking her silence. Rihanna was subpoenaed by the DA office to give her side of the story during today's hearing at the Los Angeles County courtroom. The pop star is set to hit the stand on June 22nd. Court judge Patricia Schnegg also denied Chris' attorney Mark Geragos a case dismissal in regards to leaked evidence. As a result, the case will continue to unfold as Rihanna will be cross examined by Brown's legal team.

It's no big surprise that Rihanna and Chris Brown are moving on with their lives...

The ex-lovers may not be ready to get back at the dating game, but they are certainly prepping their return into the limelight. Besides dropping new albums, Riri and Chris are both signed-on to star in separate films due to hit theaters later this year. According to the Daily News, the "Disturbia" singer is currently receiving acting lessons to shine as the lead star in the upcoming flick "Personal Protection." On the flip side, if Chris survives his arraignment this Thursday, he will prep to star as a homeless man in an untitled-at-the-moment 'rags to riches tale.'

Rumors swirled around in 2007 that the Transformers star Shia LaBeouf and Rihanna were dating after the two were spotted on the scene together in Beverly Hills. Now, almost two years later Shia finally dishes on what really went down between him and the Disturbia songtress. So who approached who?

He says:

[I was] filming a sword fight when I got the message. I said, 'Can this be my life?'

The two decided via text to meet up. So, they did in fact go on a date. Pero, what happened?

It never got beyond one date, he added. The spark wasn't there. We weren't passionate about each other in that way, so we remain friends.

New developments have shaken Chris Brown's court case...

According to MTV News, the R&B singer's attorney Mark Geragos addressed reporters after the court hearing earlier today. Chris' lawyer declared that he wants the felony assault charges completely dismissed due to 'high-level' leaks. Geragos will file for a motion specifically targeting leaked photos including the one showcasing a battered Rihanna published on TMZ. He also mentioned that he has not yet seen the evidence collected by the LAPD on the day of the attack.

Chris Brown did not appear in court with his lawyer. The judge released a new court date on May 28th. Do you think Brown's case should be dropped? [MTV News]

No matter what side of the fence you are on...

Everyone was shocked to hear that Chris Brown plead not guilty to two felony charges related to assault and violent threats yesterday in a Los Angeles court room. Rihanna fled to Barbados to avoid media attention, but her lawyer Donald Etra confirmed that the pop star would testify only if subpoenaed. The lawyer also stated:

Her position on the case is to leave the matters of guilt or innocence to the judge and or defense counsel.

Chris Brown is scheduled in court for arraignment this afternoon...

The 19-year-old could face up to four years in a federal prison for felony charges of assault and violent threats against Rihanna. Brown is expected to announce his plea, but his lawyers also have the option of requesting an extension. According to TMZ, Chris is expected to plead guilty in the case while his lawyers continue to arrange a plea-bargain deal. Sources close to Rihanna exclaimed that she does not wish to testify in the case.
