Gossip birds have been chirpin' like locos!

While Chris Brown has been battling his court issues, word is that Rihanna has been living it up sola. The "Rehab" singer was seen hitting-up Wilmer Valderrama's karaoke party with girlfriends last night at the Geisha House. According to E Online, Riri was trying to hide from paps by wearing shades and opting to sit in a private booth surrounded by bodyguards. Spies confirmed that she did not get up to sing, but appeared upbeat and friendly.

What are the latest noticias involving the Chris Brown and Rihanna case?

MTV News reports that the R&B singer is trying to receive a plea in the double felony charges placed against him. Brown's legal team are willing to deal with prosecutors if his case is bumped to two misdemeanors, which would eliminate his chances of facing jail time for allegedly beating his girlfriend Rihanna on February 8th. According to TMZ, Chris' lawyers have met with other legal experts who suggest that Riri's own aggressive behavior during the incident may no longer classify the case as a felony.

Chris Brown is set to appear in court this afternoon, but we additional updates in his case.

The "Run It!" singer has been charged with two felony charges by the Los Angeles District Attorney's office for allegedly making violent threats and creating serious physical injury towards Rihanna. Due to the legal counts, Chris may serve up to four years in prison. Although the victim name was not mentioned during the statement released by the District Attorney's office, the report does identify Robyn F. (Fenty) as the victim in the case. MTV News will continue providing up-to-the-minute coverage on his court appearance.

According to reports, an identified source revealed that the couple are together and ironing-out their differences. The alleged confrontation between Chris Breezy and RiRi came coincidentally a few days after National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Week, a three-week-old effort to get warning signs about violence out to young people (16-24) in relationships.

We learned from the Texas Council on Family Violence that 75 percent of Texans age 16-24 who were surveyed during the awareness week reported experiencing dating violence or knew someone who had. Being that Texas has a huge Latino population, this continues to be a major concern for our comunidad.
