Teen and pregnancy, two different stages of your life, right? Well, not necessarily. These two words together, teen pregnancy, make a world’s difference. In the US, 3 in 10 girls get pregnant at least once by the time they reach 20. Among Latinas, its even greater, with 52% of Latinas getting pregnant as teens – that’s more than half the Latina teen population! The good news is that teen pregnancy is 100% preventable and the best time to think about how you’d handle a risky situation is before it actually happens. Will you say no? If so, how will you say it? And if you do choose to go all the way, how will you protect yourself and your future?
National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy is today and as a celebratory gift Tr3s has a never-before-seen clip of Quiero Mis Quinces, Season 6, featuring Jiselle, for you to watch. Remember Jiselle, the Mexican-American teen mom, who became pregnant with her daughter, Elena, at 14 and after two years was able to plan her quinceañera? In this exclusive clip, Jiselle, a member of the Blossom Project, reveals a part of her past that had led her to where she is today. Watch the clip after the jump, then visit http://www.StayTeen.org to find out what zombies and preventing teen pregnancy really do have in common.
Don't miss our special National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy programming, including episodes of 16 and Pregnant from 11am-2pm and then from 5-8pm and Jiselle's episode of Quiero Mis Quinces at 1:30pm.

It looks like we know where to shoot the next season of Quiero Mis Quinces. According to Fox News Latino, Texas is fast becoming the quinceañera capital of the U.S. With its now-famous Quince Expo, a growing Latino population and a wide variety of vendors, the state is helping this timeless Latin tradition thrive.
The Latino Bridal & Quince Girl Expo is held in five Texas cities each year, attracting more than 6,500 people to its recent show in Dallas. Featuring hundreds of vendors, the event unites families with dresses, hairtsylists, DJs, choreographers, and even horse-drawn carriages.
“Even during a bad economy I haven’t seen a drop in business,” said Raymond Macias, of Unique Promotions of Dallas. "There are so many quinces in one weekend that some churches hold mass for as many as 10 young women at one time."
According to Macias, families often spend as much as $60,000 for the one-night event. Dinners can go as high as $10,000 and DJs can often cost thousands more.
Fans of Quiero Mis Quinces are well aware of that. Memorable quinceañeras from past seasons have included fashion runways, decked out limousines, and even giant coffins in the middle of the dance floor. Obviously, none of that stuff comes cheap.
These dances have become so popular that new quince-centric businesses have opened to cater to the industry's growing clientele. Entrepreneur Oscar Mendoza recently opened Elegancia Formal Wear near Dallas, a dress and costume store dedicated to the quniceañera craze.
“There aren’t any other stores that cater to Latinos and quinceañeras in this area, so I might as well take a chance,” he said.
Other businesses, such as Coreografia Quality, have opened to teach routines to the birthday girl.
“We’re not cheap,” Coreografia Quality’s Daniel Sepulveda said. “We demand anywhere from $2,000 to $3,000 per night.”
And that’s not all. With such trailblazers as QMQ’s Rene, it’s quite possible that quinceañeros could become the next big trend. Perhaps it's time to start investing in Texas tux shops, too.

Ok, so maybe the hilarious new Jersey Shore role-playing video game isn’t actually real, but it sure is fun to watch! We’re giving major props to the guys at CollegeHumor.com for creating an awesome spray tan simulation of the MTV reality show.
Image: www.collegehumor.com
In a four minute clip resembling those great Nintendo games of yesteryear, viewers are treated to Pauly D, The Situation, and Ronnie battling it out with “Disrespecting Clowns”, angry “Grenades”, and Snooki’s “Pickle Power.” There’s also plenty of Italian flags, hot tubs, and fist pumps too.
We, for one, think its brilliant and are keeping our fingers crossed that the bigwigs behind Playstation and Xbox are listening. Just imagine the type of ideas a Jersey Shore video game could spawn. Maybe a Wii Fit variation that lets you work on a Situation six pack? Or a JWoww Dance Dance Revolution sim (featuring the Enrique song from the soundtrack)?
Hey, and if none of those work, there’s always the Quiero Mis Quinces video game concept. Racing to the dress shop, dancing to DJ beats, and a karaoke finale with one of our surprise guests…are you guys with us or what?!

What an incredible season it’s been for “Quiero Mis Quinces!” We’ve had fashion fiestas, prize fighter parties, army boot birthday dresses and tons more! And how about that surprise guest list?! Christopher Uckermann, Pitbull, and Roberto Marroquin, just to name a few. But we’ve saved one of the wildest Quinceañeras for the grand finale. That’s right, we’re talking about Erika’s “Magical Nightmare!”
For those that missed out on our sneak preview, let us get you up to speed. Houston girl Erika’s got pink hair, tons of friends, and a love of all things “magical”, including zombies that rise from the dead! Well we are getting close to Halloween, right? So she’s setting the stage with a massive “Quinces” full of monster makeup, coffins, and break-dancing clowns!
Oh yea, this is not your typical quinceañera and that’s exactly why we love it! Erika’s decided to throw her ghoulish bash on the exact same Saturday as her high school’s prom. Will it detract from her RSVP list? Not a chance. The way she’s planning her big night, it’s set to be the hottest ticket in town.
To help prep, Erika’s picking up an amazing black dress, renting a midnight-colored coffin, and taking glamour shots at a real cemetery! She’s also rounded up one of the hottest DJs in town (who can spin Spanish music for grandma) and a makeup artist that can add that perfect “undead” touch.
When the big night finally arrives, everything comes together perfectly. There’s the dance with dad, a surprise performance by an entire clown crew, and a very special serenade from one of our favorite RBD singers...
To see it all, you’ll have to watch the clips!
So even though another exciting season of “Quiero Mis Quinces” has come and gone, you can still relive it with full episodes on Tr3s.com! And what kind of Quinceanera themes are we cooking up for season 6? You’ll have to stay glued to Tr3s.com and Blogamole to find out!

Can you feel the Halloween buzz in the air? The costume shops are already starting to pop up, the theme parks are setting up their Horror Nights, and “Quiero Mis Qunces” is wrapping up season 5 with an out-of-this-world zombie episode!
(Click for more pics from Erika's ghoulish quinces!)
Now you’ll have to tune into Tr3s Monday night at 7p (8p Central) to see all of the “gory” details, but we will drop a few fun hints of what we’ve got in store. Sporting pink hair and a creative attitude, Erika describes herself as “magical” and is one of the most popular girls in her Texas town.
So when she decides to throw a massive monster-themed Quinceanera, you can bet it’ll get maxed out to capacity. Just check out our teaser clip to see how nuts this party’s getting. Will the Houston P.D. have to shut it all down? You’ll have to watch and see.

And talk about originality. Arriving to your birthday bash in a coffin has GOT to be a “Quinces” first. She’s even recruited top makeup peeps to add ghoulish touches to everyone in the “Zombie Court!” Now that’s all the tidbits we’re revealing…for now. Be sure to catch the big premiere this Monday (September 13) and keep checking Blogamole for our upcoming season recap!

Just because you live in Miami, doesn’t’ mean you can’t enjoy the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Just ask Karina, who happens to be a major fan of classic movie icons like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. When it came time to plan her Quinceanera, guess what theme she was going for?
(Click for more photos from Karina's Quinces!)
With a little help from her parents and older sisters, Karina’s set on creating a birthday celebration full of top hats, red carpets, and paparazzi cameras. But as we know with all “Quiero Mis Quinces” episodes, it’s easier said than done. Before she becomes the star attraction, Karina’s going to have to put in A LOT of “pre-production” work.
Luckily she comes from a tight-knit Cuban family, so everyone (including abuelita) is getting a task to help carry out Karina's dream quinces. Mom’s helping pick the ballroom, her BFFs are helping pick the movie posters, and older sis is getting the keys to her rich boss’s classic car.
Will it all come together? There are a few glitches (which we won’t spoil here), but the big day arrives and the birthday girl’s in high spirits. Karina’s got a gorgeous white dress, her Dad lifted the boyfriend ban, and she even hit her perfect “Quinces” weight.
But none of that compares to the excitement of the party itself. Stepping out of a gorgeous classic car, having her court dressed in tuxes and glamorous dresses, and choreographing a perfect Hollywood dance routine drove the crowd wild! It’s obvious that Karina was born to be a star and we expect to see big things from her in the years ahead (are you listening Robert Rodriguez?).

Maria Cecilia dreams of having the spiciest Mexican Quinceañera possible… in Durham, North Carolina. Coming from an old fashioned Mexican family, y con una hermana mayor que festejó sus quinces en México, they have certain traditions that they want to uphold. But Maria is determined to get things done her way!
In Monday's episode of "Quiero Mis Quinces," Maria y su familia visit their homeland every Summer, cook traditional meals, and listen to Mexican music that keeps their roots close to their hearts. Even if her family thinks she’s weird because she enjoys reading books and is strictly vegetarian, Maria’s very close to them and her herencia mexicana. But she also values her bi-cultural lifestyle, and wants to bring both worlds together at her fiesta de quinces.

Every quinceañera wants her big day to be all about her. And how will Maria keep all eyes focused on the big day? Well, by being the only dama in her court, of course! According to Maria, “too many damas bring too much drama.” Instead, she gathers nine chambelanes to be her escorts. Yes, that’s right, nueve!

You’d think a boxing tomboy and an elegant Quinceanera wouldn’t mix, right? Well after watching Angelica, it’s plain to see that nothing could be further than the truth. You don’t have to be a makeup-wearing “girly-girl” to pull off a glamorous "Quiero Mis Quinces" party and this episode’s the proof!
Growing up in Texas as an only child, Angelica is definitely what you’d call a “Daddy’s girl.” She loves her mom and hanging with her girlfriends, but where she feels most comfortable is sparring in the ring with her tough-as-nails Papi.

And Angelica’s boxing training isn’t just a casual hobby, she’s a fierce competitor who’s got a serious shot at the 2012 Olympics! But underneath of the body blows and uppercuts, there’s still a sweet 15-year-old birthday girl who really wants a special Quinceanera celebration.
How’s it going to happen? First the dress. Angelica’s mom hooked up a gorgeous green ensemble that shows off the real beauty behind that tomboy smile. Sure walking in heels takes a little getting used to, but she’s determined to give her guests the full, glamorous package.
Then the photo shoot. In a true “QMQ” first, we’ve got a birthday girl made up beautifully and flashing a championship boxing belt! And how about the choreography? With a little help from rising fighter, Roberto Marroquin, Angelica’s got a dance that’s guaranteed to be a “knock out.”

Home is where the heart is, so why not make it where the Quince is? We’ve seen it done in fashion halls and on military bases, but actually pulling off a full-blown Quinceanera in a backyard is a "Quiero Mis Quinces" epic win!

It sounds like a promising idea, but for birthday girl, Jazmine, it’s more of a last resort. Her dream is to create a sprawling Arabian Nights theme, complete with hanging chandeliers, Persian rugs, and classic middle-eastern architecture. What she’s got is a basketball hoop, a freezing cold pool, and some lawn chairs.
Impossible to convert? Hardly. Thanks to Tio Richard (who happens to be a party planner), this suburban backyard is set to become an outdoor exotic palace! One thing about Jazmine is that she’s very headstrong. This breakdancing, tough talking, street art aficionado is probably one of the most original "Quince" girls we’ve ever encountered and she’s got some big ideas for the main event.

You’ve got to love a confident "Quiero Mis Quinces" star. No indecisiveness, no confusion, just a take-charge birthday girl who knows exactly what she wants and how to get it! Jackie’s got just that type of personality and her diligent leadership skills have made for one of the most well-organized (and creative) Quinceaneras we’ve ever seen.
What 15-year-old girl doesn’t love high fashion? The glamorous runways, the chic outfits, and the roaring applause when show off your designs. Though her sister and parents try to push for a more traditional type of Quince, Jackie’s dead set on turning her party into a truly “Vogue” affair.

Even though she’s determined, Jackie’s finding out that putting on a high-end Quince is a lot tougher than it looks. In preparation for the big day, she’s training her BFFs on runway poses, visiting real fashion shows, and struggling to design her own unique cover girl look.
And how about the big day itself? Well let this be a lesson to future “Quiero Mis Quinces” girls, proper planning DOES lead to a flawless execution. Unlike past episodes where dresses wound up missing or DJ songs disappeared, Jackie’s party turned out absolutely perfect!
Jackie’s gorgeous white dress (minus tiara), sporty black ensemble, and chic purple combination assured that all eyes were on her.
And she even got a little surprise from her “friend” Matthew. No spoilers here…You’ll have to watch to see what is.
