Congrats to Pitbull! Not only is his highly anticipated new album Armando hitting stores this summer, he's one of the confirmed musicians to present at the 2010 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Awards: The Dirty South!

Pitbull

The show will celebrate the honorees who infused southern musicianship into hip-hop’s national message. Some artists and groups being honored include Jermaine Dupri, Master P, Dungeon Family, Luther “Luke” Campbell and 2 Live CrewM, Organize Noize and many more.

Pitbull chose to attend with pride, having canceled his “Mr Worldwide’s Carnival Tour” performance in Phoenix, Arizona to protest the state's immigration law, SB 1070.

A round of applause for Mr. 305 for standing up for what he believes in! An additional round of applause goes to x for holding three top positions in the top ten rank of iTunes, with “I Like It,” “Maldito Alcohol” and “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho).”

VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2010 will be taped at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom and air on VH1 on Monday, June 7 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Notorious for vocalizing his anti-Fidel Castro political views and always standing strong for marginalized subjects, Pitbull has decided to protest SB 1070 by canceling his upcoming "Mr Worldwide´s Carnaval Tour" performance on May 31st in Phoenix, Arizona.

Pitbull

Mr. 305 announced the news on his official site and via Twitter:

"I am canceling my concert in Phoenix on May 31. How is the country we enjoy and love bcuz of its human rights, freedom, opportunity and that has been built by immigrants, now start 2 deny them? It is contradicting 2 everything the USA stands 4."

The "Rebelution" star will jump-start his tour on May 25th in Denver, Colorado and wrap up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 28th. As we recently reported, Pitbull isn't the only celebrity fighting against SB 1070. Shakira, Ricky Martin, George Lopez, Cypress Hill, Rosario Dawson, and Juanes have also voiced the discriminatory dangers of the signed law.

For more information on Pitbull's tour dates and more, visit www.pitbullmusic.com.

Let us know if the celebrity protests are creating more harm than good in relation to the immigration controversy. Share in the comments or @MTV3!

Are you ready for the ultimate celebrity soccer tournament? If you weren't following our live-tweets from "Rock N Gol," here's your chance to catch up on all the chisme from the field! We saw Michelle Rodriguez being a kick-ass chica, Christian Chávez & Poncho Herrera being bromantic, team surprises and more!

Pitbull's new album, Armando, is a significant step for the Cuban rapper. Team Blogamole caught up with Mr. 305 in Los Angeles, where he gave us the scoop on his latest project that combines reggaeton with club-ready beats — and a slew of guest stars.

Pitbull

Armando is Pitbull's first Spanish album, a move that he feels was easier to accomplish now that he's free in the music game. Pit had this to say about the benefits of creative control:

"We're able to, how should I say, show that we're able to live in both worlds."

His fan-punching days behind him, Pit is looking forward to releasing new work. Calling it "different than your traditional Spanish album," Armando is certain to remind Pitbull of his familia. "More than anything, this album is dedicated to my father who passed away [3 years ago]," he said.

Besides being his father's name, Pitbull told Latina.com that "the reason I named it Armando is because his favorite song was Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and I feel like I've done it my way in the music business. I want everybody to feel good with this album."

Armando will be available for purchase in June, but Mr. 305 is just getting warmed up; he's dropping another album, Planet Pit, in either late 2010 or early 2011. The man is a serious hustler!

You can see Pitbull live in the U.S. during his Mr. Worldwide's Carnaval tour, running May 25 through June 27.

We'll be rolling out behind-the-scenes video, photos, entrevistas y más leading up to the big "Rock N Gol" premiere on June 3rd at 9pm EST, so make sure you keep it locked to MTVTr3s.com!

Enrique Iglesias teased fans with the release of his "Greatest Hits" compilation last year, but the "Takin' Back My Love" superstar is ready to entice fans with his tenth studio album properly titled, "Euphoria."

Enrique Inglesias

Besides recently collaborating with Pitbull in the intoxicating hit, "I Like It," the Spanish heartthrob is also teaming up with Juan Luis Guerra for his first single titled, "Cuando Me Enamoro." Better yet, "Lloro Por Ti" fans will also get a new taste of Enrique's blazing musical partnership with reggaetoneros, Wisin y Yandel in the upcoming bilingual album slated to be release in July.

Enrique Iglesias recently spoke exclusively to Terra about the upcoming album:

It's like nothing I've ever done before...It taps into so many different styles of music - it's been really exciting for me to experiment and explore new territory.

We can hear the euphoric cries from fans already! Do you think the new album will be worth the wait?

Team Blogamole is scouring YouTube and other video sites for rising Latino stars. What does it take to pown the web? Find out for yourself, in our first profile with JD Con Su Flow. He's the teen behind the "'I Got Swagger" and “Watagatapitusberry” viral hits. Do you have what it takes to be featured? Hit us up in the comments!

A few weeks ago, our @MTV3 timeline was blowing up with a mysterious hashtag: #postigotswagger. The tweeps behind this were fans of @JDConSuFlow, a Dominican senior at Manhattan Bridges High School.

Team Blogamole challenged JD's fans to request "I Got Swagger," and boy did they deliver! We agreed to post the video, along with a Q&A. In typical teen fashion, JD took some time to get back to us. Here was his reason:

“I started workin' last Wednesday — they had me working all these days, plus school.”

We forgive you, JD! Let's do this! First, here is what all the tweeps have been waiting for:

"I Got Swagger"

It's hot, what more is there to say? Now, on to the Q&A!

JD Con Su Flow: Director, Artist & Student
JD Con Su Flow

Tr3s: OK, JD. Please introduce yourself to the Tr3s Comunidad. What would you like them to know about you?

JD: My name is Joserny Disla (JD). I was born in the United States, but [I was] raised in the Dominican Republic until I was 11 years old. I identify myself as a charismatic, quiet, trustworthy, confident, honest and very positive person.

Tr3s: What is your background?

JD: My mother and father are Dominicans. When I was in the Dominican Republic, I used to live with my grandmother. She basically was the one that raised me while my mom was here in the United States. [She] was working to send us money, to bring me and my little sister to live here to have a better life USA. I have lived in the Bronx now for about six years. I’m currently living with my mom, grandmother, step-father and my two sisters.

Tr3s: When did you start creating your own music? What inspired you?

JD: Music has been my passion since I was little. At the age of 6, I started to play the flute. At the age of 9, I took piano lessons until I was 11. Every time my family asked me, “what do you want for Christmas,” I always asked for musical instruments.

When I came back from the Dominican Republic to live permanently in New York, my main luggage was my piano. I started to take music more seriously at the age of 13. When I was just a freshman, I wrote my first song and — for the first time — stepped on stage in front of more than 300 people at my school assembly. The appreciation of the people inspired me to take music seriously.

Tr3s: Let's talk about "I Got Swagger." What was going on behind-the-scenes?

JD: When we made the song, we recorded a little video — just to show the people what was coming next. [Our fans] gave a lot of support to the song, [so] we decide to make a video.

When I do not appear in the video, I shot the video. Sometimes my younger sister or someone else shot under my direction. We used a camcorder JVC HD Everio and a small digital photo camera canon power shot that we have in our house, is not professional one.

I edited the video myself at home with a PC, [using] Adobe Premiere Elements CS4.

Tr3s: How long did it take you to make the video?

JD: Usually I make all my videos and write songs in my free time, on the weekends and during vacations. I usually do this when I don’t have anything pending from my school.

I shot the “I Got Swagger” video with 3patine and Corona. This song was written by us, as part of The DreamTeam. It took 3 days recording the scenes. Editing took 3 to 4 days; we made this one mostly during Easter vacation.

Some videos take more time to edit than another. For example, I shot and edited “Toy Yaniqueque Video” in one day, “Watagatapitusberry” took one week, and “La Porcina” (my song, written by me) took about a week as well.

Tr3s: What were some challenges you faced while making “I Got Swagger”?

JD: We didn't record a lot of scenes. I usually record a lot because I believe that’s better than leaving things out or for them to be missing. I overcame that problem by moving the scenes around. Sometimes my computer freezes and I lose work, so I often have to [re-edit] video all over again.

There's more from JD about his production techniques, relationship advice and some surprising revelations, after the jump! Read more...

Rock N Gol may be over, but the excitement is just beginning!  The shoot last week brought out los mejores artistas y estrellas del fútbol, including Pitbull, Akon, Tony Meola, Cobi Jones, Jenni Rivera, Poncho Herrera, Christian Chavez y más!  You may have seen our live-Twitter coverage desde el evento, pero no te preocupes -- todavia tenemos mucho más para mostrarles!  All leading up to the show premiere on June 3rd, solo por MTV Tr3s! Keep it locked to Tr3s and Blogamole, because we promise we've got a lot of Rock N Gol goodies to share in the weeks to come!

So what was the game like, you may ask yourselves?  The fun began when the celebs started arriving Tuesday night at the hotel and we spotted David Bisbal and Poncho Herrera coming into the lobby after a workout session and exchanging tips para el gran juego the next day.  Who were they pumped to see on the field?  None other than Jenni Rivera.  Yeah, we were pretty pumped about that too!

Wednesday morning we arrived to an overcast field at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, pero cuando las estrellas started rolling in, we were overjoyed to see the sun peek through the clouds.  Que día tan perfecto para un partido de fútbol!  After a quick meet-and-greet session (you better believe we got some exclusive entrevistas to share with you later!) the game was underway!

Can we just tell you how amazing it is to see the likes of Brandi Chastain and Marcelo Balboa dribbling a soccer ball to Michelle Rodriguez and Diego Torres?  And, we won't even mention what an incredible futbolista Akon is... oh, all right, yeah we will!  If that whole Konvict Records game ever gets old, we know he'll have an alternate career waiting for him!  No wonder he was chosen to pen the official 2010 World Cup theme song!  Which, by the way, Akon tells us will be extra special, though no mention yet on who will be behind the mic...

Game highlights?  So You Think You Can Dance's Legacy doing major backflips and breakdancing on the field... only to be shown up by Akon matching his moves not a minute later!  Christian Chavez and Poncho Herrera's reunion on the field -- even though they were on separate teams, you could totally feel the love entre los dos ex-miembros de RBD!  Throughout the game Carlos Mencia had some hilarious little quips about los jugadores, and you can be sure he wasn't holding back on his opinion about some of the pop stars' talent with the ball.  He was particularly unimpressed with Jenni Rivera, pero aún peor fue Christian Chavez.  Let's just say he won't be quitting his job as a pop singer anytime soon!  There were a few soccer ball mishaps, including one particular ball that went haywire during an attempt at a 3-point gol, courtesy of a mean kick by Tony Meola.  You'll have to see what happened when the show airs on June 3rd, but we can tell you the action turned quite a few heads...  And of course the big show highlight (besides the winning goal kicks!) was the rockin' performance by Pitbull, who brought down the house with hits old and new, including the first single off his upcoming album, "Alright."

Personal highlights of the game?  Watching Poncho Herrera make a beeline to hug ex-bandmate Christian Chavez on the sidelines in between games.  And having David Bisbal enthralled by my nose ring -- yep, I can say David Bisbal touched my face.  Repeatedly.  Celosas?

Also, Michelle Rodriguez might just be the funniest, most kick-ass chica on the planet -- and she's got a mean soccer steeze, despite a recent injury.  Favorite MRod quote of the day: "Woah, I think someone just got kicked in the nuts!"  Oh, and I must say, I did appreciate the eye candy of watching hombres lindos como Jesse Williams, Walter Perez, Poncho Herrera, Christian Chavez and even Marcelo Balboa working up a sweat... And with such lady players as Debi Nova, Brandi Chastain, Michelle Rodriguez and super sexy referee, Fox Sports correspondent Temryss Lane, we know los hombres had a fun time watching too!

We'll be rolling out behind-the-scenes video, photos, entrevistas y más leading up to the big premiere on June 3rd at 9pm EST, so make sure you keep it locked to Blogamole and MTVTr3s.com!  Check out more pics from the event here!
