It looks like Paulina Rubio needs to hire a new accountant quick! The Latin pop diva reportedly owes a bundle in back taxes, both to the Mexican government and the American IRS.
According to Radar Online, Pau Pau owes nearly $800,000 in taxes and it looks like both countries are eager to collect. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service has already put a $132,000 lien against her in Dade County Florida, with an additional $77,000 lien in Broward County.
And interestingly, Rubio isn't the only celeb the tax man is after at the moment. RevRun from Run D.M.C. owes $450,000 in back taxes and R&B crooner Robin Thicke is being asked to pay up to $500,000!
But Pau Pau's total debt seems to trump them all. Let's hope she can push her new Brava! album to platinum status and pay back that debt ASAP.

It looks like it's true this time. Spanish TV confirmed the inevitable today – Paulina Rubio is headed for divorce. The Mexican pop diva is reportedly putting an end to her five year marriage to Nicolás "Colate" Vallejo-Nájera.
Rumors about a split have been plaguing Pau Pau for months. And even more fuel was added to the fire this past holiday season, when she and her husband spent Christmas and New Year's apart.
Antena 3, one of Spain’s leading TV outlets, reported the news and went on to report that no extra-marital affairs were responsible for the breakup. According to sources, the two just seemed to "fall out of love."
We're imaging the entire ordeal will be pretty rough on Rubio, especially since she'll now have to share custody of her one-year-old son, Andrea Nicolás. Hopefully the release of her new album will give Pau Pau a nice outlet to escape the drama of divorce.

Who knew Paulina Rubio fancied Cajun grooves? Oh yea, she'll be making her way to Louisiana next April for the 2012 New Orleans Jazz Fest. A lively mix of musical genres and live entertainment, we are actually glad they're adding some Latin flair to the lineup.
Other headliners at next year's event include The Eagles, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and The Foo Fighters. The concert will last for two days and promises a mix of classic rock, jazz, zydeco, R&B, gospel, blues, and of course Latin pop.
There will actually be over 100 musicians performing throughout the event, all on a variety of stages. Fans attending will have the opportunity to visit various "themed" tents, nibble on authentic N'awlins food, and pick up fun creole trinkets.
Of course, Pau Pau won't be the only Latin music maker making noise at Jazz Fest. Legendary Hispanic artists like the Texas Tornadoes, Pedrito Martinez, and Poncho Sanchez are also planning to perform.

Just remember, we warned you about following our Latin Grammy predictions. Yes, most of our picks didn't come true. But that doesn't mean that every winner of the night didn't deserve their statuettes. Far to the contrary, particularly in the case of Calle 13. The Puerto Rican duo put out an incredible album last year and it's clear the Latin Grammy voters were listening.
Believe it or not, Calle 13 took home nine awards at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Thursday night, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Tropical Song, and Best Urban Album. And though the guys had previously won big in 2008, they seemed quite humbled when taking the stage.
Residente, in particular, made a point to thank the group's devoted fans and promised that Calle would never stray from their Latin hip hop roots.
"It's very difficult for us navigating against the current," he stated. "I know that we're those who are heard not on the radio, but in the heart of the people."
And in between all of the Calle acceptance speeches, there were still plenty of dominant forces on the Latin Grammy stage. Shakira performed three songs during the night (including "Loca") and got huge cheers when she accepted her Person of the Year award. She also happened to take home Best Female Pop Album for Sale El Sol.
As you may have remembered, we were rooting hard for Alex, Jorge y Lena in the Best Album category. Though they didn't win, the talented trio still nabbed the Best Pop Album by a Group award. And, for the record, our Best New Artist prediction did come true! Tr3s fave Sie7e happily accepted the award and definitely proved himself to be an artist to watch in 2012.
In regards to the live performances, the Latin Grammys did not disappoint! Usher had great onstage chemistry with Romeo as they belted out the popular "Promise" track from Formula Vol. 1. And Pitbull brought out a pretty famous duet partner too. Newly-single Marc Anthony poured his heart out with a live rendition of their new single "Rain Over Me." Even Demi Lovato flexed her Spanish tongue with a riveting performance of "Solamente Tú."
But we're sure the live song that will be getting the most buzz was Calle 13's show opener, "Latinoamérica." The newly-crowned Song of the Year was performed alongside the Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra. Not only that, guest conductor Gustavo Dudamel used his baton to give it an even more bombastic touch.
Of course, the show was just half of the fun. Seeing how the event took place in Vegas, you can bet that many of the stars are probably still celebrating at this very moment!

Here we are, just hours away from the 12th annual Latin Grammy awards. And seeing how the event is taking place in the gambling capital of the world (aka Las Vegas), we thought it would be fun to place some bets on which artists we're hoping will take home statuettes.
Now, of course, we love all of this year's honorees. But as we peruse the nomination lists, there are definitely a few Tr3s faves that stand out.
Let's start with Shakira. Now it's already confirmed that she'll be getting this year's Person of the Year award and she already has seven Latin Grammys sitting at home. So perhaps the Academy may decide the spread the love and not give her Album of the Year.
Instead, we're actually rooting for the underdogs Alex, Jorge y Lena. We've loved this trio right from the start and were thrilled when they made the cut in the Album category. Granted, they're up against Calle 13, Enrique, Shaki, and Franco De Vita, but they've got just enough momentum to nab the win.
Moving on to Record of the Year, our vote is going for Los Tigres del Norte. Their "Golpes en el Corazon" track is gorgeous (and happens to feature Paulina Rubio on guest vocals). It was also the highlight of their recent Unplugged special, which got a huge response when it aired on Tr3s. Can you tell we're a little biased?
In the Best New Artist category, we're rooting for Sie7e. His "Tengo Tu Love" was the laid-back Latin anthem of the summer and it's clear he's truly connected with the viral universe. Sie7e's gotten millions of YouTube hits, showcased an endless array of talent, and genuinely seems like a nice guy. Let's hope he takes this one down.
As far as the Best Urban Music Album goes, our money's with Calle 13. It's clear the Latin Grammy voters love them (ten nominations this year!) and this is definitely their category. Plus, how awesome and original was their Entren Los Que Quieran record? Truly a gem and a deserving winner.
For Best Rock Album we're going with the underdogs again. Sure Maná is the easy choice (their Drama y Luz record was a massive hit), but Don Tetto feels like they've worked harder to earn this prize. Their Miénteme album is fresh, original, and sounded great live when we saw them at the House of Blues!
In the Alternative category, we're playing favorites again. Zoé did an incredible job with their MTV Unplugged special and it's clear they're overflowing with talent. Plus, they've been around for over two decades and more than deserve some Latin Grammy gold at this point.
Now there are zillions of more categories to make predictions for, but those are the ones we feel the most confident about. Keep in mind, we may be totally off (so DON'T bet your hard earned money on our predictions), but it sure is fun to speculate.
And stay tuned for our complete Latin Grammy coverage tomorrow morning!

Te gusta Paulina Rubio's "Me Gustas Tanto" video? Right now the verdict seems to be a little mixed. Pau Pau's new clip definitely has a big budget behind it, but many are complaining that it lacks the pizzazz of what a kickoff single should represent.
In essence, "Me Gustas Tanto" is meant to stir up interest in Paulina's long awaited 10th album, Brava! Rubio hasn't released a record in nearly three years and if this is supposed to be her comeback, it may leave a bit to be desired.
Mixing in synthesized beats, an auto tune chorus, and robotic flairs, "Tanto" almost sounds like it could have been a leftover track from JLo's Love? sessions. Nevertheless, Pau Pau's record company is putting a lot of money behind it, with promotions throughout the YouTube and VEVO channels.
But despite its shortcomings, there's still a lot to like about the "Tantos" video. Rubio has sexy scenes where she's doused in glitter and using a provocatively placed leaf to cover her private parts! Not bad for a 40-year-old mom.

Paulina Rubio sure knows how to market her music. The Mexican songstress teased fans this week with Twitter clues about her latest single. Though we still don’t know a title, the track will supposedly be released on September 13.
Tweeting in both English and Spanish, Pau Pau's posts stirred up quite a bit of buzz in the music world. All we can decipher so far is that the new single will be an upbeat dance track.
"I want to be the first one to let you know my NEW single hits radio Sept 13th!!!!! Are you ready to dance?!!" she posted.
The untitled song goes along with her untitled album, which is still rumored to be released before the end of the year. Set to be a bilingual mix of tracks, this will be Rubio's first new record in over two years.
As we all know, Paulina has had quite a few noteworthy collaborators in the studio as of late. So we're very curious to hear what her "new sound" will be comprised of.

Ever since Paulina Rubio was cuffed by Miami P.D., there have been endless questions. What exactly led to her arrest? Did she resist the cops? And what's up with all these breastfeeding stories? Well now we got a hold of the police report and the official account of what went down.
Rubio’s BMW collided with a white Mitsubishi at approximately 2:20pm on Saturday afternoon. After an officer responded to the scene, Pau Pau began getting "verbally abusive." That led to her officially being charged with Refusal to Obey a Lawful Command, Obstruction of Justice, and Disorderly Conduct.
But that's not all. It goes on to say that Rubio cursed at the cop en español. Per the report,
"Defendant continued to refuse [to cooperate], screaming in Spanish 'What the f*ck you want me to do? I just had an accident and I'm very nervous. That's why people don’t like you because all of you Miami cops are abusive'."
And keep in mind, this wasn't just a conversation between Pau Pau and the cops. Rubio's rants were so loud, they caught the attention of nearly everyone on the street! She repeatedly yelled terms like "Help!" and "Abusers!," which, not coincidentally, led to that Disturbing the Peace charge.
We all know what happened next. Pau Pau was cuffed and put in the squad car. Though she ultimately didn't get dragged to the station, Rubio was issued a summons and may face some stiff penalties. And for the record, those breastfeeding rumors may be true!
Per the report,
“Defendant was arrested with a ‘Promise to Appear’ because she advised the office that she has an extenuating circumstance: (she breast feeds her 6 month old child).”

Ok, girls, thanks to Paulina Rubio, we now have a new proven excuse to get out of a ticket or avoid jail time for that matter!
Instead of pulling the typical "Do you know who I am?" card to the officer who registered the minor car accident she suffered this Saturday in Miami, la Chica Dorada appealed to the officer's bruised little heart telling them she had to get home to breastfeed.
But don't think the incident went without drama. Rubio had the minor car accident and a first officer on the scene instructed her to get out of the car.
Needless to say, she refused (after all, she freaking IS Paulina Rubio) and began to yell out for help!
When a second officer showed up on the scene, reports claim she was forced to get out of the car.
Meanwhile, according to TMZ, the pop star kept screaming for help, insulting the officers and calling them liars, even after being handcuffed and placed inside the police car.
One hour later, after kicking and screaming, Paulina finally calmed down, apologized and told the officers she had an "extenuating circumstance" -to go breastfeed her adorably famous 6 month old baby.
The officers were apparently at least a little star-struck as they let Rubio go, yet they pressed to see her again in court, with charges of "disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice and refusal to obey a lawful command", which comes as no surprise and begs the question: Didn’t these guys know who SHE was?
In any case, girls, Paulina's kick ass-excuse proved effective even after the yelling and screaming, so I'd recommend to fearlessly add it to your "excuses to avoid a ticket" list!
My other personal favorite excuse which by the way has worked twice for me and has the added bonus to work wonders if you apply it to both, men and women officers is:
"Officer, my boyfriend just left me...." (Based on Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw's famous "my boyfriend left me on a Post It note excuse" ). This one works best if you cry real tears- on his shoulder, preferably-Never fails!
Another excuses to totally avoid a ticket?
1) My radar never went off!
2) I had too much to drink and I didn't know what I was going (Believe it or not, this was actually used by a person whose name should remain anonymous)
and the worst of them all (trust me you will get a ticket with this one),
3) Peeing in your own pants for real! (I've heard every person that has tried to pull this one to avoid the ticket, has had to go home, with a stinky car that will cost them at least $60 to get detailed, plus, the cost of the ticket, lawyer and court fees) This one, really doesn't work!
What excuses have you used to avoid a traffic ticket?

Forget billboards and advertisements, all you really need is a Twitter account to get fans excited about a new record. Recently, celebs like Gloria Estefan have been posting star-studded twitpix to build buzz about their music. And now Paulina Rubio is following suit, tweeting album news about Wyclef Jean and RedOne.
This past Memorial Day, Pau Pau and Wyclef posed for a cute twitpic and it looks like they've been working on some very hot tracks together.
"En el estudio, muchas inspiraciones!" Rubio posted, followed by, "#Espanglish @wyclef DANCE".
Could that mean that Paulina is venturing into Spanglish territory with her new record? It looks like the answer is undoubtedly yes! And Wyclef seems to be very excited about the experience, tweeting,
"Ladies and gents wyclef Jean is in the studio with @paurubio @allhandzondeck on memorial day weekend!"
Add RedOne to the mix and it's clear Paulina’s headed for some major crossover action. The super producer has already scored smashes for Lady Gaga, J. Lo, and Enrique Iglesias, and we can't wait to see what kind of musical magic he can conjure up with Pau Pau.
