We know what you're thinking, who's Odette Annable? She's actually a very successful Latina who used to go by the name Odette Yustman. But since getting married to Brothers & Sisters star Dave Annable, she's decided to play the name switcheroo game. That being said, Odette is definitely an actress you want to keep your eye on, particularly because of her new role on House.

Considered to be one Fox's most popular series, House is set to return for its eighth season this fall. And just like all good shows, it ended with quite the cliffhanger last May. Hugh Laurie's House character drove his car through the living room of a fellow doctor!

Needless to say, expect to see some major consequences for House's actions. Deadline is reporting that the good doctor will wind up in jail when season eight kicks off and that's where he will meet Odette.

Though details about Annable's character are still scarce, it appears as though she will be playing a prison M.D. of some sort. And judging by her stunning good looks, we wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a love interest as well.

February is almost here and love is in the air, at least for onscreen perritos Chloe and Papi. Yup, even though they’re now on the direct-to-DVD circuit, Disney’s popular Beverly Hills Chihuahuas are back and bringing a batch of cute pups along with them. Tuesday, Feb. 1, marks the video release of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 and we’ve got a brand new review.

When a film sequel gets the straight-to-DVD treatment, you’re going to lose a few things. Gone are the big budgets and exotic locales (sorry, no trips to Tijuana this time), as well as the A-list cast members you know and love. Drew Barrymore, Andy Garcia, and Jamie Lee Curtis did not return for Chihuahua 2, but Papi’s distinctive George Lopez growl is back in fine form.

So, even though there are some cutbacks in the aesthetics department, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 hasn’t lost any of the franchise’s trademark heart. Great for the 5 to 10-year-old set, this family-friendly romp’s got comedy, romance and plenty of impressive four-legged tricks.

As the story begins, Papi (voiced by George Lopez) and Chloe (voiced by Odette Yustman) bark down the aisle at a cutesy canine wedding. Flash forward a few months and they’ve expanded their brood to include five adorable pocket-sized puppies. George’s Papi spins some hilarious yarns to the little ones about ancient “Chihuahua Warriors,” complete with flashbacks of Aztec yappers.

Marcus Coloma, Erin Cahill and legendary Latina actress Lupe Ontiveros round out the human cast, who look after the pups. Of course, the story wouldn’t be any fun without some exciting subplots featuring dog show villains, clumsy robbers and nasty bankers looking to repossess Papi’s pad.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2
may seem a little tedious for the teenage crowd, but kids and parents are sure to love it. The DVD also includes bloopers, interactive games and a music video from Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler. Of course, the true scene stealers are the “Chihuahua Warriors.” Hopefully they’ll get even more screen time in Part 3.

UPDATE: Warner Bros. announced Wednesday (Jan. 19) that the much-coveted role of Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises has gone to Anne Hathaway. What do you think of this casting decision?

By Michael Lopez

We don't know much about Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, but we do know that a few of Hollywood's leading ladies have tried out for a top-secret female role. Could Nolan's third Batman film feature Catwoman as the caped crusader's nemesis?

According to the gossip blogs, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley have already tried out for the mysterious part.

Since her creation more than 70 years ago, Catwoman (aka Selina Kyle) has been one of the Batman's most popular enemies. And though each of those actresses would be a great choice, I can think of a few others who are just as well-suited to play Batman’s feline foe.

Odette Yustman: Already a favorite with the Comic-Con crowd, Odette (who is half-Cuban) attracted tons of attention for her role opposite the Cloverfield monster. She’s also proven herself to be a great romantic lead on such shows as Brothers & Sisters. Plus, at 5’9”, she could easily stand up to the brooding presence of Christian Bale.

Zoe Saldana: Had a chance to check out those Colombiana pics yet? If so, you know Zoe’s got the potential to be a major action star. One of the things that’s so appealing about Catwoman is her ability to kick major butt while maintaining her sensuality. We think Zoe’s sensitive-yet-tough demeanor would make a great addition to the film.

Morena Baccarin
: V star Morena Baccarin seems primed for a movie career and The Dark Knight Rises would be the perfect vehicle to launch it. Tall and fit, this Brazilian-born beauty already has plenty of experience playing a villain. And her cropped haircut would easily fit under Selena Kyle’s kitty mask.

Rosario Dawson: Honestly, Rosario Dawson deserves this role. She’s been working steadily in Hollywood for more than 15 years now, but still hasn’t realized her full box office potential. Whether it’s singing her lungs out in Rent, bringing you to tears in Seven Pounds or smashing up bad guys in Grindhouse, Dawson is literally overflowing with talent. Why not give her the chance to show it off to the millions of Batman fans waiting to buy tickets for The Dark Knight Rises?

Attention movie fans, we’ve got a hot new Latina to add to your radar. Born in Colombia, raised in Nicaragua, and coming soon to a theatre near you, Odette Yustman’s ready to take on Hollywood’s biggest lady stars in “You Again”.

Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver, and AARP "it" girl Betty White, “You Again” is bringing on the catfights and the crack ups. As Odette told Movieline, Betty pretty much stole the show, “She’s just got this thing, and she’s so witty and funny. I don’t know anybody that’s as vivacious and energetic and on it as this woman. What is she, 88?”

But just because this is her first headlining movie, don’t think she hasn’t paid her dues. Odette’s film career stretches all the way back to “Kindergarten Cop” with Arnold Schwarzenegger. After her childhood acting days, she took a break and almost went for a career in finance.

“I went to a community college for a year and a half and then I thought about going to Loyola Marymount for business finance, but I thought, “You know what? That’s not what I want to do. What am I going to do with business finance? That’s a joke. I want to act, and I’m not going to half-ass it.”

We’re certainly glad Odette chose a life in front of the camera. She’s got a great onscreen presence and it’s obvious she’s got a big career ahead of her (including a role in “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2”!). If you want to see Odette’s comedy chops in action, check out this hilarious clip from Funny Or Die.
