The 5th season of "Nuestra Belleza Latina" was filled with glitz, glam, and lots of drama and everything came to a close last night after Nicaraguan beauty Nastassja Bolivar won first place. The official winner may have been criticized for not having advanced Spanish-speaking skills, but her model frame and sweet personality made her a favorite among voters.

The countdown was as entertaining as the first place unveiling since we witnessed the ladies give their final performances and short biographies of their family life.

Gremarie Colón was the first up to perform a tango red performance while her husband Alexis from the duo Alexis y Fido watched in the audience. After her mother, Margarita Jimenez provided a testimony about how much she struggled as a single mom, Gremarie was awarded a tear drop trophy symbolizing her resilient spirit and $1,000 (there is certainly no reason to cry over that!). Gremarie may have been an obvious favorite (some say due to her superstar husband), but her overall performance ended up landed her in second place.

The third place spot went to Nicole Suárez. The Colombian beauty was the youngest in the competition and definitely grew the most confidence throughout the season. She may have lost the crown, but she was offered the priceless gift of being surprised by her father, who lives in Colombia, at the studio. The forth spot went to Jenny Arzola, who was eliminated and brought back to the show after Juliet Cabrera's controversy. We think the Cuban beauty had the best performance of all, but her Afro-Cuban dance wasn't enough to keep her in the running.

The season finale also included a performance by Luis Fonsi, who performed his first single off of his new album "Gritar." Fans were definitely screaming when Nastassja Bolivar took the crown! She truly represented the perfection of "Nuestra Belleza Latina" and walked away with $250,000 and an Univision contract to get her career started in media and communications. We wish her the best of luck!

Who do you think was meant to be the "Nuestra Belleza Latina"?

After Juliet Cabrera was booted from the popular Univision modeling competition/reality TV show "Nuestra Belleza Latina" for posing in some racy artistic photos, we figured the girls would be sure to behave themselves. So we were SHOCKED! to hear a juicy rumor going around regarding some girl-on-girl smooching pix of one of the four remaining finalists, Nicaraguan beauty Nastassja Bolivar.

So was the popular contestant caught out in a passionate clinch with an unnamed girlfriend? If so, would  she find herself bumped off the show by it’s prim and proper producers, with the finale only a few days away?

Fear not, model-lovers. In an exclusive interview with People En Espanol, hostess Giselle Blondet put all our minds to rest. Univision's crack production team has conducted an in-depth investigation (I bet!) into the photos, making the determination that Miss Bolivar is not the woman in the potentially incriminating (and decidedly revealing) pictures.

In fact, Blondet points out that Nastassja Bolivar doesn't even know her shot at the big win was ever in question: contestants don't receive information from the outside world. They spend their off-time in the House of Beauty, and have neither phone contact nor internet access to the outside world.

So who do you think will take the crown and pocket the prize package this Sunday? Will it be Natassja? Gremarie Colón? Nicole Suárez? Maybe once-eliminated Jenny Arzola, who was brought back to replace the disgraced Juliet Cabrera?

The fifth season of "Nuestra Belleza Latina" is reaching its highly anticipated finale with only four bellezas left in the running. Gremarie Colón, Nastassja Bolivar, Jenny Arzola and Nicole Suárez have managed to impress audiences and survive the latest wave of eliminations.

Brunette beauties Patricia Corcino and Miriam Hernández weren't as lucky. The former contestants failed to make the cut due to a lack of votes and negative feedback from the three judges, Julián Gil, Lupita Jones and Osmel Souza. We all know Miriam was also booted off for stirring up drama at the mansion and playing the villain card time and time again. Adios!

The final four contestants remaining are known for their stunning good looks and girl next door personalities. Here's a rundown on las chicas that are fighting for the crown!

Gremarie Colón: She may be known as the wife of reggaetonero Alexis' from the duo Alexis y Fido, but Gremarie climbed her way to the top through her own merit (although some speculate that the belleza is a privileged contestant due to her star status). The petite boricua is known for her sweet and charismatic personality and is an obvious favorite on the show.

Nastassja Bolivar: Her undeniable model frame has received attention since day one! Nastasja has even received the highest compliment of being compared to supermodel Gisele Bundchen. How often does that happen to the average chica? Hopefully she sharpens her Spanish skills since it's the only flaw that may hold her back from the crown.

Jenny Arzola: The Cuban beauty replaced Juliet Cabrera, who was kicked off the show for scandalous photos that were leaked a few months ago. Her perfect curvas has left fans asking 'Juliet who?!' Her approachable personality and perfect figure offers all of the right ingredients to make it to the top.

Nicole Suárez: The Colombiana hasn't had the easiest ride on the show, but her determination has landed her on the finalist list. Judges have commented that she really doesn't have what it takes to win the competition. Can she end up proving them wrong?

Lately it seems like everybody has something to say about the beauty pageant show Nuestra Belleza Latina. From the outspoken judges, to the scandalous contestants, the Univision reality series has become a daily fixture on the gossip blogs. And now, Juanes is chiming in too, expressing his support for contestant Nicole Suárez.

It is certainly not a coincidence that Nicole and Juanes both hail from Colombia. Suarez is the pageant’s only competitor from that country and El Rockero is making sure all of his hometown fans pledge their support.

In a recorded message posted at People En Español’s website, Juanes said.

"Nicole hola cómo estás, soy Juanes y te deseo mucha suerte en el concurso y nada. Todo mi cariño. Estás divina y sé que vas a ganar. Mucha suerte".

By all accounts, Nicole has a pretty good shot at taking the title. Though she’s still up against eight other gorgeous Latinas, each of which possess their own huge base of fans.

But, if she can survive, Suárez will be taking home $200,000 and a lucrative new contract to appear on Univision television shows. Of course, if she doesn’t win, we’re thinking she’ll still have a pretty bright future ahead. Perhaps as a costar in one of Juanes’ sexy new music videos?

We are sad to see her go, but we can't say we aren't surprised! Juliet Cabrera has officially been eliminated from Univision's popular pageant show, "Nuestra Belleza Latina" after racy photos posing nearly nude surfaced the web last week.

The production team agreed that the 2008 photos were inappropriate and violated the code of conduct agreement, which warned contestants that their chances would be in jeopardy if they took part in any pornographic or immoral actions.

Despite some of Juliet's fans stating that the photos weren't in poor taste and were in fact artistic, Univision decided to kick off one of the competition's favorites and replaced her with Cuban-American contestant Jenny Arzola. Arzola, 23, had been previously eliminated from the competition.

In an interview with Univision, Cabrera said that she was wrongfully eliminated:

"I don't regret anything, these photos are not pornographic like they have been saying. I feel like many times people judge without knowing my past."

We are sure Juliet is heartbroken by the news. Do you think the production team overreacted? Or do you think they were justified in sending her home? Sound off at @MTV3 ahora!

Nuestra Belleza Latina fans were left in shock this week after outspoken judge Osmel Sousa made critical comments about the show’s heavier contestants. In words that seemed directed toward overweight people in general Osmel said:

"Me gusta que se expresen bien con gracia, que estén bellas, que tengan un bonito cuerpo armonioso. Yo detesto las gordas.”

Obviously, words like that can create quite an uproar. As we all know from Miss San Antonio’s recent “too many tacos” controversy, weight issues carry a lot of sensitivity and can even lead to drawn out court battles.

Osmel is actually well known for his sharp tongue. A judge on Nuestra since its inception back in 2007, he’s never been shy when it comes to harsh criticisms. But saying he detests “las gordas” is taking lighthearted ribbing to a whole new level.

With backlash already building, Sousa has fired off new statements saying his intentions were never to be disrespectful.

"Hay muchas niñas que desde chiquitas sus mamás le viven diciendo: 'tú eres linda, tú eres linda, tú eres linda' y no son lindas. Y tiene que haber alguien que les diga de una manera fuerte: 'tú no eres linda’", he told People en Español. "Aquí le doy rienda suelta a lo que sale de mi lengua y a lo que pienso de cada una".

Nuestra Belleza Latina is seen by millions of viewers each week and we’re sure they come in all different shapes and sizes. Let’s hope, for Osmel’s sake, they continue to stick around.
