Jennifer Lopez was off to a good start during her performance at Mohegan Sun for its 15th anniversary celebration in Connecticut this past Saturday night. Stylish outfit? Check. Impeccable hair and make-up? Check, check. Hot back-up dancers resembling her ex-boyfriends? Check. So what exactly led to her emotional fit on stage?

Sure, JLo has had her share of heartbreak lately, but she has been doing so well since her divorce to Marc Anthony. Her clothing line in Kohl's has increased sales for the mega department store, she resigned her (pricy) deal on American Idol, and has a new rumored romance with Bradley Cooper.

Jenny from the block may be living the perfect life to us, but she wants us all to know that she is still human and hates life sometimes just like the rest of us. She stated to "Extra":

"I'm just a regular person like everybody else. I have feelings and emotions. My life goes great, and it goes not great sometimes. But you know what? We keep going, and that's what it is."

It's refreshing to hear that she has issues just like the rest of us, but at a different scale of course. The Puerto Rican pop star also claims that her tears overflowed once she spotted her mother, Guadalupe Lopez, in the audience.

Do you think it was her love for her mother? Or the love-themed performance flashing back to all of the relationships in her past?

Jennifer Lopez has been trying her best to avoid another "Bennifer" situation with her rumored boyfriend actor Bradley Cooper, but it's proving to be difficult. The "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer refused to answer questions related to her new romance during her Kohl's fashion launch in Connecticut yesterday. Jennifer has been spotted with the "Hangover" star a couple of times, including this past Saturday when paparazzi caught the two driving off together as she tried to cover her face.

Lopez revealed that she would only discuss her private love life once she is in a serious relationship again for the sake of protecting her 3-year-old twins Max and Emme. The American Idol judge stated:

"As a mom, and having children, right now they're my first priority. And because of them, I wouldn't ever comment on anything until I'm in a serious relationship again...It would just be confusing for them and it would be unfair. And so at the end of the day, it's about them."

She definitely gets good Mami points there. Can't she date in peace until she finds her new Marc Anthony!

What do you think about her new romance? Do you think they will last?

Latinos are taking over the stage at this year's American Music Awards! A long list of performers are set to hit the stage live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on November 20th, including Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, and Usher. The show will also be hosted by Nicki Minaj and Pitbull. We can't wait to see the chemistry these two have on stage!

Christina Aguilera may have received some (unnecessary) flack for her fuller and curvier look during Michael Jackson's tribute concert, but that won't stop the blond bombshell from showing the world her vocal skills. The pop singer will share the stage with Maroon 5 for a special performance of their hit single "Moves Like Jagger."

We just hope J.Lo doesn't have another accident on stage like she did at last year's awards while performing "Louboutins"!

What performances are you looking forward to the most?

Ladies, get your tissue boxes out! It looks like longtime couple Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova may never get hitched. The two have been dating since late 2001 after she appeared in his music video, "Escape." Despite rumors that they secretly got hitched back in 2005, the two insist that they have never been married and are in no rush to walk down the aisle.

In a recent interview Anna clarified:

"I'm in a happy relationship – that's all that matters. I believe in commitment and I believe in being open and trusting each other and respecting each other completely."

How sweet. Guess it's going to take Enrique some time to put a ring on it.

Do you see marriage potential here?

Ricky Martin isn't exactly a favorite pop star among church goers in Honduras. Religious leaders attempted to get Ricky's upcoming concert on October 16th canceled due to its "erotic content," but the performance at the Choci Sosa stadium in Tegucigalpa will proceed as scheduled.

The group also tried to get Ricky's visa into the country denied due to his creative content and sexual orientation. Honduras is just one of his many stops during his "MAS: Música + Alma + Sexo" tour in Latin America. The Puerto Rican singer is currently in Costa Rica preparing to perform for thousands of fans in the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa tomorrow.

Although the concert in Honduras was allowed to continue, it turns out that kids under 15 will not be allowed to attend the show. According to the Minister of the Interior, Ricky's show:

"Is not the type of family that the laws of Honduras and the Honduran society wants to build and encourage to young people and the rest of the population."

The last time we checked, Ricky Martin's performances never suffered any wardrobe malfunctions. His performances are as racy as the next pop star.

Do you think these religious groups should get away with this level of discrimination?

"Wepa"! Gloria Estefan's new single off of her 26th album titled "Little Miss Havana" hits number one in Billboard's Dance chart. The infectious new track, produced by Pharrell Williams, evokes the vibrant and energetic sound of Gloria's Miami Sound Machine days with a modern Neptunes vibe. The collaboration between Estefan and Pharrell was sparked by their trainer at the gym. Pretty random, but we'll take it.

The Cuban megastar recently told ABC News:

"I was looking so forward every day to going into the studio. I kept telling Pharrell, This is how I felt when we were doing 'Primitive Love' way back in the day. It was fresh and very exciting."

Everyone else seems to agree! The album is exclusively available at Target and will also be released digitally worldwide on October 18th.

Are you feeling Gloria Estefan's new track "Wepa"?

Shakira continues saving the world one country at a time. The Colombian pop star's next humanitarian project involves promoting childhood development in Brazil. The "Whenever, Wherever" singer recently visited the largest country in South America and toured favelas as a part of her program launch with the ALAS Foundation in Rio de Janeiro.

The new program will work towards ending the cycle of poverty by helping children and families gain access to health care, proper nutrition and education.

During her visit, Shakira met and played with elementary school students and spoke about advocating for our youth in front of representatives of the Brazilian government including the Minister of Human Rights and the Governor of Rio de Janeiro. She stated:

"Both ALAS and I are proud to be part of a program that provides the children of Brazil with education, health and nutrition, the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty and inequality...I hope that programs like the one we are launching today in Brazil are replicated in all of Latin American. The possibility to end poverty and marginalization is at our fingertips. Let's keep working together so our children may paint a better future for themselves and for us all."

What would the world be like without Shakira?

What do you think about her efforts in Brazil?

This one is huge and well-deserved! Shakira may be a three-time current Latin Grammy nominee, but now she is also being honored as the 2011 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year. The Colombian pop star, who has won a total of seven Latin Grammy's and two Grammy's in the past, will be honored for her renowned creative and philanthropic efforts at a tribute dinner on November 9th in Las Vegas.

Shakira's most popular tracks will be performed by pop artists and friends of the honoree. A major portion of the proceeds from the gala will benefit her Pies Descalzos Foundation as well as The 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, which will be broadcast live on the Univision on Thursday, November 10th at 8 pm ET/7 pm PT.

The President/CEO of The Latin Recording Academy, Gabriel Abaroa Jr., reacted to her nomination:

"I am elated on behalf of The Latin Recording Academy and its Board of Trustees that the much admired Shakira — whose incredible talent and artistic integrity are equaled only by her commitment and dedication to philanthropy and selflessly helping those in need — has been elected the 2011 Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year. We are honored to pay homage to this dynamic, socially conscious woman whose illustrious career has touched so many people around the world, both musically and personally."

We don't plan on missing it! What do you think about Shakira's "Person of the Year" nomination?

Demi Lovato's first single "Skyscraper" may have been the anthem for teenage empowerment, but the new track off of her album "Unbroken" proves to be a little racier.

MTV News recently caught up with Demi to dish about her latest dance single "Who's That Boy" (we love the ode to Madonna), which features production and writing by Ryan Tedder, Noel Zancanella and Devin Tailes. Some of the track's lyrics include lines like,

"I've been staring at ya/ And I could do it all night/ You're looking like an angel/ With the kind of body that needs a spotlight."

Flirty indeed. We wonder who will play the male lead in her music video! Shooting for the video is said to take place soon. Here is what Demi had to say about "Who's That Boy":

"I think it's grown-up, but it's not too grown-up. It's not tasteless. It's growing up with my fans. It's [like] I'm not a kid anymore, but I'm also not a full-grown woman either. So I'm in that in-between stage, trying to figure out where that is. So I'm figuring it out, just like my fans are."

Grown up, but not too grown up. Just the way we like it.

Are you looking forward to her new single?
