Pitbull has filed a counter suit against Lindsay Lohan over a defamation lawsuit she filed against him back in August. The actress accused the rapper of exploiting her name in his hit Give Me Everything, in which he says "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan." Pitbull claimed that the slang term was supposed to be a positive message about how Lindsay runs her life the way she wants and has it under control.
Pitbull already apologized to Lohan for the lyrics of the song and insisted that he meant no harm to her or her reputation, but now he's insisting that the line in question is justified by her multiple jail visits.
The Miami rapper is also questioning whether Lindsay is eligible to file a lawsuit in New York. LiLo claims to be a resident of Nassau County, New York, but has publicly spent the majority of her time in California, where she is serving probation for her latest round of legal battles.
Pitbull's counter suit says:
"In light of Ms. Lohan's continuing obligations to the State of California, as well as the foregoing facts, Ms. Lohan is a citizen of California, not New York."
Since the suit against him was filed prior to the MTV Video Music Awards, Pitbull did the gentlemanly thing and invited LiLo to join him at the show where he was going to be performing the song in question. He even left her a ticket at will call! Of course, Lindsay was a no show!
Lindsay has been attempting to repair her image and reputation following a string of legal problems over the past two years, which included a lock up in rehab and a house arrest at her Venice, California home. Most recently, LiLo checked into Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California on Sunday night and served less than five hours behind bars for a probation violation, before being released early Monday morning.
After all is said and done, Pitbull actually has a point. Even if the lyric was meant to make a joke at Lindsay's expense, it's true now more than ever! LiLo has been spending an awful lot of time trying to keep herself out of the the slammer, and we have 5 mugshots to back it up! So there is really not much she can say now about Pitbull ruining her reputation when she herself is the one in charge of continuously getting locked up in the California jails, making Pitbull's lyrics not a defamation, but a simple fact of reality!
Do you think Lindsay should withdraw her lawsuit? Do you think Pitbull’s counter sue has more power than LiLo’s?

Kanye West is apologizing to Taylor Swift...again. Mr. West took to his Twitter in a self proclaimed “stream of consciousness” not only to apologize to Swift but apparently, to allow us to “feel where is head is at”.
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past year, you are well aware of the 2009 MTV Video Award fiasco where Kanye rudely interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for best female video award, arguing that Beyoncé's “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” was more deserving. Kanye – back from a brief hiatus – is ready to set the record straight (no pun intended).
He described his behavior:
“With the help of strong will, a lack of empathy, a lil alcohol and extremely distasteful & bad timing ... I became George Bush over night.”
Made us aware of the repercussions:
“People booed when I would go to concerts and the performer mentioned my name. [...] People don’t dislike me...they absolutely hate me!”
Then it almost seems as if he's trying to justify his actions:
“I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don’t always need my help.”
But then he clarifies,
“Beyoncé didn’t need that. MTV didn’t need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn’t want or need that.”
'Ye goes on to tweet about how the whole situation was a conspiracy that turned into a race issue, plus how he wonders about whether the songs he writes could be a country song or a Broadway hit, and followed that up with even more off-topic commentary, including his favorite unit of measurement - all while talking about himself in the 3rd person.
Through all the craziness and twit banter, believe it or not, his underlying message was: “Im sorry Taylor.”
He even admitted to writing a song for her:
“I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she wont take it then i'll perform it for her.”
Is it coincidence that Yeezy would choose to rehash Taylor-gate, write a new song for her and offer to perform it with the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards less than a week away? We think not!
The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards are set to air on MTV on Sunday, September 12 at 9pm EST, and don't miss it on Tr3s, with subtítulos en Español, airing on September 18th! You still have time to vote for Tr3s Latino Artist of the Year, so cast your vote ahora mismo!
Do you think Kanye was sincere or was it just a publicity stunt? Will you be watching the VMAs? Tell us in the comments or @MTV3!

Looks like Kanye West better not even think of messing with Calle 13.
In response to Kanye's infamous interruption of Taylor Swift's speech at this year's VMA's, Calle 13 posted this on Twitter:
"Kanye West nunca me quitaría el microfono por que le rompa la cara de mamao que tiene. jejeje.. enserio. no es chiste."
Ouch! Them sounds like fighting words!! We'll take Calle 13 on our side any day of the week!

For a music collabo that is, don't get any ideas! Mr. 305, aka Pitbull is teaming up with Paulina Rubio for the remix of her song, "Ni Rosas Ni Jugetes."
Paulina recently tweeted asking her fans if they liked Pitbull -- is that even a question? Yes! Si! Oui! Por supuesto that we do, Paulina. We're pretty sure the remix will be sick, since lately he's been the go-to guy for hot Latin music collabos -- JLo has asked Pitbull to appear on her single, "Lola."
This isn't la primera vez that Paulina and Pitbull have teamed up. The two hit the stage together in 2004 at the Los Premios MTV Latin America. And from what we remember things got pretty hot and heavy, so we have high expectations for a new collabo!

Although the release date for Twilight was moved up to November 21st., there is still plenty of time to get chisme from the cast!
Weren't into Russell Brand's abrupt interruption of Robert Pattinson's announcement during the VMA's? Well, MTV News is giving Twilighters, and the cast, the respect they deserve by having Peter Facinelli get the last word. Playing a character like Dr. Carlisle with a 350-year-long history definitely merits rightful props, but Peter admits that he is always down for a good laugh...
MTV News caught up with the "Six Feet Under" and "Damages" star while on set filming some additional footage. He assured us the cast works hard and plays hard - and no one is exempt from being the butt of a prank. Check out the video to hear about the infamous prank he played on co-star Jackson Rathbone. There are only two days left until the Moon Man lands in Hollywood! We've got the low-down on the latest VMA announcements sure to tease los pantalones right off of you...
We're bringing to you updates via the VMA Press Conference, which was taken over by Britfabulous VMA host Russell Brand. Since MTV never does anything without making a splash, they announced new performers in a most unusual way...
Christina Aguilera was dropped off in a stretch limo to announce that she'll perform her latest single "Keeps Getting Better" at the show. We wonder if the new mami will return to her X-Tina ways while on stage!
The sorpresas didn't stop there... Rapper T.I. emerged from the fire escape of the "New York City" set in the Paramount lot, fumbled down the stairs, and announced that he'll perform a song at the VMAs from his upcoming album "Paper Trail" featuring Rihanna.
After the stunts subsided Brand let us in on other HUGE appearances scheduled for Sunday, including Britney Spears, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kid Rock with Lil Wayne and Kanye West. Yup, you heard right, after all his whining last year Yeezy is back again to close out the show!
Watch the full VMA Press Conference for more facts on the show, then tune-in to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards LIVE on Sunday September 7th @ 9pm EST.

Forget waiting until Friday to get the fin de semana started!
We're celebrating the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards Latino style (pass the piñatas, güey) by throwing a pre-game fiesta tonight at Los Angeles' Level 3 club. Did we mention that Calle 13 and Colby O'Donis are performing, only to be joined by a slew of hot latin celebs on the red carpet?
Calle 13 will treat party goers to songs from their new album "Los de Atras Vienen Conmigo," as well as classic cuts like "Atrévete Te, Te!" and "Pal Norte." This is the FIRST time that fans will hear new Calle tunes; fans of the Puerto Rican duo have been chomping at the bit for new developments since Calle 13 took over the Latin Grammys in 2006 with awards for their self-titled debut album.
Colby (and a special guest) will be his smooth self at the show, performing a fifteen minute set including "What You Got" in Spanish and "So Sick of Love" unplugged.
We're chillin' stageside at Level 3 right now for Calle 13's rehearsal. There's no sign of Residente or Colby yet, but Visitante strolled in ready for la parranda while rockin' a Christopher Walken tee-shirt. His sister also came ready for the mayhem by wearing a red clown nose while kicking back with the band.
We can spoon feed you all the details, but we'd rather you see it for yourself. Stay tuned for more chisme from rehearsals, and then watch FULL VIDEO COVERAGE OF CALLE 13 and COLBY O' DONIS' performances from the Tr3s VMA Pre-Party tomorrow, September 5th in the following places:
Not exclusive enough for you? Be sure to grab pre-sale tickets on ticketmaster of our “Tr3sPass” Tour with Calle 13 f/Kinky this Friday, Sept 5th from 10am-10pm. Stay tuned for the pre-sale password; we're dropping it tomorrow at 10AM!
It's almost that time of year mi gente...el momento del Moonman! Each year we look to the MTV Video Music Awards to provide us with a new brand of office cooler chisme. Whether it's a surprising collabo kiss or a career-halting opening performance, we can always rely on M-Money to give us something to talk blog about. This year MTV is getting us, los fans, involved in the show; YOU determine which artists get nominated!

Whether its two blonde icons tongue wrestling, or a failed teenybopper comeback performance, the VMAs have always given us a reason to tune in year after year (Britney's VMA blunders alone could make for a week of Blogamole posts). Besides seeing tus artistas favoritos perform, you never know what type of insanity will unfold en vivo right before your eyes.
This year promises more madness as the show will tape live in Hollywood, Sunday September 7th. What makes this year's show even more theatrical is the fact that it will be staged over city streets, rooftops, and sound stages of the legendary Paramount Pictures studios.
What musical memories! For a quick refresher, hit up the official VMA website to watch last year's awards and see how star styles have evolved year-to-year.
Este año the VMA audience will have the opportunity of a lifetime -- they will be responsible for "executive producing" the show by helping MTV select which artists get nominated. Speaking of freedom of choice, you tell us! Who do you want to see perform at this year's VMAs? We're hoping for a Menudo/NKOTB duet. Te imaginas?
Artist, host and presenter line-up have not been confirmed, but you know that Blogamole will keep you on the tip. Stay linked in!
