Apparently Selena Gomez wants to follow in her novio Nick Jonas' footsteps. Besides casting spells in her Disney aventura “The Wizards of Waverly Place,” the ambiguous 16-year-old wants to blast-off her own music career. Forget running her own solo gig, this chica has other plans in mind.
She expresses exclusively to MTV News:
I'm going to be in a band — no Selena Gomez stuff. I'm not going to be a solo artist. I think that I don't want my name attached to it.
There is no doubt that this chica is going to rock the stage no matter what she does, but who do you think inspired her master band plan? Was it Nick Jonas' "Burnin' Up" success or Miley Cyrus' musical rivalry? [MTV News]

Apparently Miley Cyrus is still "Burnin' Up" over former flame Nick Jonas! The 13-year-old New Jersey hottie may be hooking up with Disney starlet Selena Gomez, but that's not stopping the "Hannah Montana" mega-star from love jonesin' over their past relationship.
The "Break Out" star recently spilled about her mal de amores:
Nick and I loved each other. We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn’t fun...Maybe he’ll be my best friend for the rest of my life or maybe I’ll end up marrying Nick Jonas!

Selena Gomez couldn’t be sicker of all the Miley Cyrus chisme going around. MTV News recently caught up with the young starlet who was quick to stomp all the catfight rumors during the 2008 Teen Choice Awards:

As the host of last night's ceremony, Miley Cyrus pimped out the stage and walked away with three awards for "Choice TV Actress," "TV Comedy," and "Choice Music Female Artist." Although Miley's competition Selena Gomez didn't rack-up any awards, the 16-year-old Disney star did get a chance to watch her novio's band The Jonas Brothers win five awards including, "Choice Music Love Song" and "Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon Male."
We hear that more than 30 million voters helped decide the faith of ganadores like Chris Brown, who dominated the surfboard mania with four wins including, "Choice Hook-Up" (for his duet with Jordin Sparks on "No Air"), "Music Male Artist," "Music R&B Artist" and "Music R&B Track." Finally Blake Lively won "Choice TV Actress" and "TV Breakout Star Female" for the addictive drama "Gossip Girls."

Selena Gomez has been working her magic on Nick Jonas! "The Wizards of Waverly Place" actress has been dating the Jonas Brothers cutie for several months now. Did we fail to mention that the "Burnin' Up" singer is also Miley Cyrus' ex-novio?!
Despite Miley Cyrus' niña buena stance against premarital sex, LifeStyles Condoms has offered the Disney star a one million dollar endorsement deal to help spread the 'no love, no glove' motto to jovenes. Her rep confirmed that the virginal 15 year-old never even considered the deal.

As if teen queen Miley Cyrus didn't have enough on her hands (recall those racy Vanity Fair photos that shook up the Internets?), now the Disney star has embarrassed herself on YouTube.
Last week the Hannah Montana star sat down with BFF Mandy Jiroux to post a YouTube video mocking rival Disney reina and Jonas Bros tour mate Demi Lovato and Demi's mejor amiga Selena Gomez, for their YouTube channel. Now, Miley is singing a different tune saying the clip spoofing them was just a joke and she is "super sorry" if the two took offense:
We were just, like, having fun. They have, like, a YouTube account, and so at the end of our video we did put 'Go to their YouTube.' We were kind of supporting their channel, but also being silly because they were being funny, and that's our thing — to be funny
Likely story, but we're sorry Miley, we're not buying it. We all know you and Selena are constantly being compared and it must get to you. We can spot a PR concocted statement when we, like, totally hear one. [MTV News]
Racy Star Gets Support From Jonas Brother

Miley Cyrus' racy fotos "part two" are worrying some of her die-hard fans that she may be heading down the dark road of self destruction called Lindsay-Spears Way. Okay, so maybe Miley spread out on some boy’s lap doesn't look good for her image but she’s got clothes on, she’s not making any naughty gestures and isn’t that guy suppose to be her novio? Miley’s photos aren’t the worst thing in the world (mira a Vanessa Hudgens) but her pal Joe Jonas (uh-huh, from the Jonas Brothers) had some words of support for his little wacky amiga.
"We're good friends of hers, and we got her back and we love her to death…no one's perfect and everybody makes their mistakes," said Jonas.
Something tells us this is just another case of la prensa overreacting to a child star entering the stages of womanhood and first time loves. [MTV News]
