Happy Valentine's Day! Today marks the annual celebration of love and commitment between companions. Although some people turn the occasion into a huge spectacle, many couples express their love with a more modest approach. Here's how some celebrities couples are spending their Valentine's Day.
Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, who have been married since 2004, say quality time is the secret to the success of their marriage.
“I think we're gonna just steal a couple of hours alone, which would be a luxury for us,” J.Lo told Extra after last night's Grammy Awards. “Yeah, lock ourselves in a room and just have some quiet time.”
LeAnn Rimes and fiancé Eddie Cibrian have also decided to chill out this V-Day.
“We are just going to hang with friends, play Wii and eat pizza,” Rimes told Extra. “Just being with people I love is what counts.”
Kim Kardashian's beau, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, will be taking on the San Antonio Spurs tonight, so the reality star will be spending her Valentine's Day in Vegas.
“I'm doing a girl's trip to Vegas,” Kimmy K told TV Guide's Chris Harrison. “The boyfriend is busy working so all the girls who have boyfriends or husbands who are working are going to get together and party in Vegas.”
Justin Bieber, whose professional life is booming with today's release of “Never Say Never — The Remixes,” wouldn't say much except that today will be unlike V-Days of the past. Perhaps Disney Princess Selena Gomez will help him break tradition.
“I've been single every Valentine's Day,” Bieber told disneydreaming.com. “I've never been with a girl on Valentine's Day, so yeah, maybe we can change that this year, right?
Presidential couple Barack and Michelle Obama have overcome incredible obstacles in their 19-year marriage. Their commitment withstood the pressures of political ambitions, the public eye and now the presidency, so when the First Lady shells out marriage advice, we should all take notes. What's their secret?
"I think a lot of laughing," first lady Michelle Obama told The Huffington Post. "I think in our house we don't take ourselves too seriously, and laughter is the best form of unity, I think, in a marriage.”
We couldn't agree more.

In her two years as first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama has shown off a unique sense of style. Fashionistas usually praise her for her bold choices, but she has received her fair share of criticism, such as the recent verbal lashing from legendary Dominican designer Oscar de la Renta.
The Obamas hosted Chinese President Hu Jintao at an elegant White House dinner last week. Most people thought Michelle looked stunning in her vibrant red dress designed by the late Alexander McQueen. Not Oscar. Because McQueen was British, de la Renta thought it was in poor taste to wear a gown from a European designer to the event.
"My understanding is that the visit was to promote American-Chinese trade — American products in China and Chinese products in America," Oscar told fashion site WWD. "Why do you wear European clothes?"
Michelle has yet to ever wear one of his dresses at a White House event. Could de la Renta have secretly been upset that she wasn't wearing one of his designs? Oscar said no.
"I'm not talking about my clothes, my business," he said. "I'm old, and I don't need it. But there are a lot of young people, very talented people here who do."
Do you agree with Oscar's criticism? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3.

Ok, so only a handful of Latinas made Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women List, but it’s still quite an accomplishment and (hopefully) very inspiring for future female minority leaders (especially since Michelle Obama ranked #1). Sonia Sotomayor, Today Show host Meredith Vieira, and Giselle Bundchen were just a few of the ladies of Latin origin that made the list.
Image: AFP/Getty Images
Ranked at #19, Sotomayor has made quite an impact in the past year. Since being elected to the Supreme Court back in 2009, she’s already chimed in on several important verdicts, including Miranda Rights cases and First Amendment issues regarding campaign financing. Coincidentally, the newest female Supreme Court Judge, Elena Kagan, made an impact on the list too, ranking #25.
Portuguese businesswoman, Maria Ramos, was the next highest Latina, coming in at #32. As CEO of South Africa’s Absa Group Banks, she had worked her way up from chief executive of the state-owned rail, pipe, and ports agency, to the director of the South African National Treasury. She’s self-made, highly educated, and VERY wealthy.
The next Latina to make a dent is Today Show host Meredith Vieira, ranked at #40. Also of Portuguese descent, Meredith’s built up quite a respectable media career. She’ got nine Emmys from her CBS News days, has a huge following from her work on The View, and also currently hosts Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
Other top ranking Latinas include Argentinian president, Cristina Fernandez (Ranked #68), Costa Rican president, Laura Chinchilla (Ranked #83), and Brazilian model Giselle Bundchen, who scored #72 for the $25 million she raked in from endorsements and her designer clothing line.

And how about the ladies who made the Top 5? Well we already mentioned #1 Michelle Obama, which is pretty obvious, being the First Lady and all. She was followed by the CEO of Kraft Foods, Irene Rosenfeld, Oprah Winfrey, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and our own Secretary Of State, Hillary Clinton.

"Now, stepping up to the plate at Baltimore’s Oriole Park, First Lady Michelle Obama!" Not the first name you’d expect to hear a baseball announcer say at a MLB stadium, but that’s exactly what the crowd heard!
Last week, Michelle Obama made a public appearance to spread awareness for the “Let’s Move” campaign, geared towards fighting childhood obesity. In fact, her participation marked the start of major partnership with Major League Baseball that will include top Latino sluggers as spokesmen!
Carlos Gonzalez from the Colorado Rockies, the Anaheim Angels’ Joel Pineiro, Matt Garza from the Tampa Bay Rays and more will be featured in PSAs spreading the word about healthier eating and outdoor exercise.
When speaking to participants in the stands, Michelle said, "We've got to get you guys focused and moving. When these players were kids they found a sport that they loved. They practiced and practiced and practiced until they were better at it than anybody else. We want you guys to do the same thing."
“Let’s Move” is a relatively new program (it was launched back in February in cooperation with the USDA) and inspires kids to engage in physical activities and enjoy a healthier diet of nutritious foods. And seeing how beautiful the summer weather is, we couldn’t think of a better message to spread to right now. So put down that Xbox, go outside, and have some fun!

Artists are always reinventing themselves, and Brandy is no exception. The pop singer may be pursuing a rap career, but that doesn't mean the "Bran'Nu" artist will be ignoring her fans who love her soulful singing voice.
Brandy performed the timeless classic "At Last" by Etta James at Key Club's R&B Live Showcase in Los Angeles last week (May 26). It was amazing!

Brandy dedicated her performance to someone special:
"I want to sing this song because I really want to find my divine soul mate. So wherever he is this is dedicated to you"

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle hosted the second White House State Dinner last night (May 19) for Mexico's President Felipe Calderon and his wife, Margarita Zavala. Attendees were treated to live performances by Beyoncé and Mexican guitarists Rodrigo y Gabriela. And yes, Bey's hubby Jay-Z was also in attendance!

"Tonight we share the bonds we share as neighbors and as friends," Obama said. "We celebrate all that Mexican-Americans contribute to the United States."
Security was noticeably enhanced this go-around, and among the 200 guests who lined up to get in, at least one woman was turned away for lack of proper ID. She did however return soon after with the proper identification.
We have more details from the dinner for you, after the jump! Read more...

La Primera Dama Michelle Obama joined the U.S. Soccer Foundation, The National Alliance for Hispanic Health, Adidas and others last Friday in Washington, D.C. as part of her Let's Move campaign encouraging kids to get at least 60 minutes of exercise per day. About 60 children who participated were able to experience a once in a lifetime experience: playing fútbol with Michelle Obama! The first lady also spoke about physical activity and proper dieting.
Last week's event also showcased soccer as a fun way to encourage kids to stay active and among those who helped with the exercises was former U.S. National Team member Eddie Pope and Jaime Moreno from DC United.
Can't get enough del fútbol? No te preocupes, we've got lots more in the works with our upcoming celebrity soccer tournament, Rock N Gol. Stay tuned para más detalles!! And in the meantime... if you're in MIAMI and have the soccer bug, make sure to show up for the Rock N Gol Team T-Mobile tryouts THIS SATURDAY at Downtown Soccer, from 1pm - 3pm.

Nelly Furtado has partnered with MTV Tr3s and Let's Move! to help end the childhood obesity epidemic within this generation. Nelly has created a Public Service Announcement to highlight the cause. The goal of this campaign is to help Americans unite and support parents who request healthier food be provided in schools, encourage kids to become more physically active, and make healthy, affordable food available nationwide.
A press conference was held in Washington, D.C. today by Michelle Obama to endorse the campaign. Former NFL player and NBC Football analyst, Tiki Barber, was Master of Ceremonies at the event and encouraged all kids to get out and play. New York Yankee Curtis Granderson was also on hand to represent Major League Baseball and help support Let's Move!
Please take a look at this very important message from Nelly Furtado below. Recuerda, you have a choice; so make it a healthy one!

President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama came out last Wednesday to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the CHCI 32nd Annual Awards Gala in Washington DC, an annual kickoff event that recognizes the achievements of Latinos en nuestro país. Over 2,000 guests joined President Obama in celebrating Latino culture, including Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, John Leguizamo and Miss Puerto Rico to name a few. El orgullo Latino was certainly soaring high!
President Obama's speech highlighted the success of some of today's most prominent Latinos (including Marc Anthony who won this year's CHCI Lifetime Achievement Award), and also touched upon his plan to help solve the school dropout crisis (sadly, Latinos have the highest dropout rate in the country), and pressing social issues like the economy, health care reform, and immigration. He gave a special shout out to Justice Sotomayor and said his proudest moment as President was when she became elected as the Supreme Court Justice of the United States!
Politics are no fun without some risas, so President Obama made sure to throw in a joke after New York Rep. Nydia Velazquez gushed about Marc Anthony. El Presidente declared that Nydia must have a crush on Marc, and warned JLo to watch out porque apparently, she's not the only one who's got her eye on the legendary salsero. Cuidado with your man, JLo! Listen to Obama's chiste below!

"Queen of All Media" Perez Hilton is known for making some very risky fashion choices, so we were not surprised to see him in this month's People en Español "Los Mejor y Peor Vestidos" issue. Lo que sí nos sorprende is seeing this post on his blog in which he states "Perezito has been chosen for the "Best Dressed" issue of the new People en Español." Umm... does he need a better translator or does nuestro favorito chismoso cubano really expect us to believe que no entiende español?
Come on Perezito, de verdad crees que uno de estos crazy get-ups deserves the title of "Mejor Vestido"? In fact, People en Español says el bloguero "tiene probablemente el gusto más cuestionable de la historia." Not much of a compliment in our book!
So who did make the best-dressed list? Topping la lista está la muy elegante primera dama, Michelle Obama, followed by Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria Parker y Thalía. Tu sabes, some ladies with real style!
So, who do you think has el mejor estilo? [People en Español; Perez Hilton]
