Let's be honest, is getting Mario Lopez to bare his chest really big news? The Extra host has famously tossed off his shirt for photo shoots, news segments, and Dancing With The Stars. And this week he was back to his old tricks again, showing his ripped physique on Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show.

Clearly Mario came prepared for this latest striptease, arriving on the Ellen set in a loose-fitting coat and a pair of his "Rated M" underwear. Lopez made sure to promote his new skivvy line too, flaunting his briefs to the screaming audience.

"Ellen is the only person that I take off my clothes for," he jokingly told the crowd.

Of course, the episode wasn't just about chest muscles and boxer shorts. Mario also chatted with Ellen about his recent engagement and life as a new daddy.

It looks like fiancée fever is still in full swing. This week, yet another Tr3s fave popped the question to his longtime lady love. Sorry girls, Mario Lopez is now an engaged man.

Broadway dancer Courtney Mazza is the lucky lady who'll be walking down the aisle. She began dating Mario back in 2008 and gave birth to his daughter, Gia, last September.

Lopez decided to make his move down in Mexico and, ever the good media mogul, he made sure Extra’s cameras captured everything on film. Both of their families were present during the big moment and happily cheered them both on after she said, "Yes."

"I've come to the realization that I'm never going to meet another woman as special and amazing as the one I have," Mario happily exclaimed.

Congrats to the happy couple!

Maybe the Mayan end-of-the-world prediction got to people because this past new year's the parties were raging like never before! Several famous faces were spotted all over the country Saturday night, ringing in 2012 with plenty of style.

Over in Florida, Diddy hosted a huge party at his Miami estate. Known for throwing extravagant NYE bashes, the music mogul maintained his rep by launching a massive fireworks show and welcoming famous guests like Rihanna, Fat Joe, and Busta Rhymes. No official word on whether his rumored galpal, Cameron Diaz, was in attendance, but it certainly wouldn't surprise us if she was.

Interestingly, another Miami local made major headlines that night too. Heat superstar LeBron James rung in the new year as an engaged man! He popped the question to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson during a romantic dinner at a South Beach restaurant.

Over on the east coast, Tr3s faves Pitbull and Diego Torres made the rounds at New York's historic Times Square.

Pit's energetic performance of "Give Me Everything" was seen by over 13 million viewers on ABC's New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Mr. 305 was also on hand to watch the famous ball drop for the Dick Clark countdown.

Elsewhere in the city, new couple Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling shared a romantic evening at the Bowery Hotel. Selena Gomez hit the East Coast too, partying with boyfriend Justin Bieber until 3 am! And for the record, "The Biebs" earned quite a bit of musical credibility that night for his impassioned "Let It Be" duet with Carlos Santana.

As expected, Las Vegas proved to be a big NYE hotspot too. Kim Kardashian earned a cool $60,000 for hosting an Eve party at Tao in the Venetian Hotel. Stevie Wonder also nabbed a nice chunk of change on Saturday, performing to a sold-out crowd at Sin City's Cosmopolitan Resort.

On the west coast, Katy Perry seemed to be all smiles at L.A.'s trendy Soho House. The newly single star was seen dancing and partying alongside some of her closest friends. Mario Lopez hosted a sizable bash at Hollywood's Kodak Theater which included guests like Cobra Starship and a DJ performance by Tom Cruise's son, Connor.

And as far as the celebrity tweets go, many stars took time to reflect on 2011 and the exciting things in store for next year.

"I wanna wish you all a happy and safe new year," Bruno Mars wrote. "I thought 2010 was great but thanks to you guys 2011 has been the greatest year of my life!"

"Happy New Year! Health - happiness and love to you all!" Jessica Alba posted.

And Sofia Vergara sent out one of her signature Twitpix along with the quote, "Feliz anoooo!"

It looks like Mario Lopez has found yet another excuse to show off his famous abs. The Extra host is launching his own brand of "Rated M" underwear and recently stripped down to his skivvies to promote it.

Contrary to popular belief, the "M" does not stand for Mario. Lopez explained that he prefers to keep the letter ambiguous. He said it could stand for "Modern," "Masculine," or whatever his customers' prefer. The briefs do, however, have a nice little catchphrase sewn into the lining.

Every "Rated M" waistband reads, "For manful men and their very special guests."

And, proving that he's still a master of self-promotion, Mario is hyping his line all across the web. There are viral videos of him posing in the briefs, intricate websites, and even a "Rated M" Twitter handle for die-hard underwear fans.

It looks like Mario Lopez and Eddie Cibrian may have some extra time to hang out these days. Lopez has just joined the Fall cancellation club with news breaking that his H8R show has gotten the axe from the CW network.

After just a handful of episodes, execs have decided that H8R wasn't making the cut. The reality series (which is based on fans meeting the stars they despise) struggled in the ratings since it debuted last month. And judging by the cost of casting real celebs, we're sure it was cheap to produce.

The most recent H8R episode featured Kim Kardashian and actually saw a spike in viewership. But apparently it was too little too late. The show has been immediately yanked off the schedule and will be replaced by reruns of Ringer.

Mario has yet to make a comment about the cancellation. But seeing how much he hits the Twitterverse, we're sure we'll see some #H8R RIP hashtags in the very near future.

Have you been noticing a lot more TV posters popping up around town? With fall fast approaching, the networks are in a mad scramble to get you tuned in to their newest primetime shows. This season promises to bring more crime dramas, more bawdy sitcoms, and more Latinos in starring roles.

On the drama side, you can expect quite a few Tr3s faves flexing their edgy acting chops. There’s Kirk Acevedo in the NBC police show Prime Suspect. Judging by his badge-flashing roles in Fringe and NYPD Blue, it’s clear he was born to play a cop.

Lost’s Nestor Carbonell will be back on the small screen too. He'll be playing FBI agent Victor Machado in the Sarah Michelle Gellar drama, Ringer. Featuring twin-related plot twists and mobster villains, it promises to be a very interesting nighttime soap.

Another heavy show we're excited about is NBC's The Playboy Club. No it's not just for the bunny skirts, this series happens to have Eddie Cibrian as the main lead. It's also got a great Mad Men-esque feel since it's set in the early 1960's.

But don't think it'll just be stone-faced estrellas lighting up the boob tube this season. Ramon Rodriguez promises plenty of fun and action on his ABC series, Charlie’s Angels. Yes it's another reboot, but with a diverse trio of starlets (and Ramon calling the shots as Bosley), it should be a lot of fun.

In the sitcom department, you’ll get to see veteran actor Hector Elizondo stirring things up with Tim Allen in Last Man Standing. Based around a husband’s struggle for male support, we’re sure Hector will make a great comedic shoulder to lean on.

Former soap star Rosa Blasi will get to show off her funny side in I Hate My Teenage Daughter. This title pretty much says it all, but Fox seems to have a lot of faith in it. They’re scheduling it to premiere after Simon Cowell’s highly-touted X-Factor.

And don’t think we forgot about reality. Mario Lopez’ show about celebs facing their H8rs is garnering a ton of buzz. And Latino Survivor fans have a new Cuban-American castaway to root for.

So start making space on those TiVos now. The prime time season (and all the Latino stars that go along with it) officially kicks off this September!

Last month, we did a brief recap of several high-profile Mother's Day shout outs. And seeing how this past Sunday was devoted to Papá, we thought it would be fun to share a bit of the Father's Day love that circulating across the web.

Checking the Twitterverse, it was clear that there was no shortage of Daddy posts. Jessica Alba made sure to acknowledge her hubby Cash Warren, who's about to become a father for the second time.

"#happyfathersday @Cash_Warren no matter how much u do 2 get on my last nerve… I love u so much & ur an amazing papa. K I’m done being nice," she posted.

Paris Hilton used the social network to announce a brunch that she was celebrating with her dad, Rick.

"Having breakfast with my dad. :) Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there! Love Paris xoxo"

And even though Pitbull's father sadly passed away in 2006 (and was the focus of his last Armando album), it was clear that Mr. 305 was thinking about him and all the other dads yesterday.

"Happy father’s day my brothers," he posted.

Other famous tweeters who sent dad shout outs included Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, and Britney Spears. For Mario Lopez, Sunday was an extra special occasion. It marked his first official Father's Day and he sent out an adorable twitpic of his new daughter (above) to commemorate it.

"Gia Francesca and daddy celebrating their 1st Fathers Day!" he posted.

And what did Hollywood's most infamous papa do yesterday? As we all know, Arnold Schwarzenegger has a new son to celebrate the holiday with, but he didn't spend it with his Mildred Baena's love child. Rather, the "governator" was spotted having lunch with his son Christopher.

Don't lie, we know there are at least a few celebs you detest. Whether it's The Situation’s fist-pumping, or notorious tweeter Paris Hilton, everyone's got one famous person they’d love to rip on. Well now it looks like The CW network is prepping a show that pits regular people against their A-list enemies and they've tapped Mario Lopez to host it!

Entitled H8R, the new series has already signed up notorious celebs Kim Kardashian and Snooki to appear in the pilot episode. The premise would be for stars like Kim and Snooks to confront their "haters" and convince them that their anger is misguided.

Mario would work as a mediator between the two and is actually going to be credited as a producer on the project. Extra exec Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey is also on board, so you can expect a lot of cross-promoting between the two shows.

Now as far as other celebrity guests go, we've already got a long list of feuds we'd love to see played out onscreen. Maybe a little confrontation between Miley Cyrus and Rebecca Black? Or Vanessa Bryant vs. Khloe and Lamar? Whatever the lineup, we can definitely see a lot of potential in H8R.

Who knew Latinos had such a strong connection to GLAAD? Not only is the gay rights organization's President a Cuban-American, its upcoming San Francisco Media Awards has booked a host of Hispanic talent. Glee’s Naya Rivera is set to MC the event and special guests will include Sara Ramirez and Mario Lopez.

Set to take place May 14, the gala will honor Sex and The City’s Kim Cattrall with the prestigious Golden Gate Award. As GLAAD prez Jarrett Barrios put it, she’s contributed quite a bit to the furthering the cause of gay equality.

"Kim has not only grown acceptance of our community through story lines on shows like Sex and the City, but used her platform to speak out for equality," Barrios said. "We are proud to honor such a talented and passionate advocate."

Naya has also become quite the advocate herself. Since it was discovered that her Glee character, Santana Lopez, was actually a closeted lesbian, Rivera has become an outspoken role model for young people in the gay community.

And we all remember that famous girl-on-girl kiss between Sara Ramirez and Brooke Smith on Grey’s Anatomy. It was seen by millions of people and helped usher in a new wave of "outed" characters on TV. Unfortunately, the newest primetime Latina to lock lips with another woman will not be at the event, but we certainly expect to see her on the honoree list for 2012.

Break out the tequila shots, Cinco de Mayo has arrived! Sure it’s not the "official" Mexican Independence Day (that, of course, is September 16), but around the country May 5th has become an early summer pastime filled with mariachi music, frozen margaritas, and cultural celebrations. And this year, plenty of celebs are joining in on the festivities.

Based on Mexico’s victory at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, Cinco de Mayo has literally taken on a life of its own. Celebrated more in the U.S. than in its country of origin, the festive holiday has gone on to include celebrations at the White House and recognition from prominent Latino leaders like César Chávez.

This year, several high-profile Latinos are making sure they join in on the fun too. Mario Lopez will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo gala at the L.A. hotspot Teqa. Promising an agave-harvesting demo and plenty of margarita pitchers, it’s expected to be a top-notch event.

Over in Las Vegas, you can party with Chelsea Handler’s little buddy Chuy Bravo. He’ll be hosting an exclusive "Cinco de Chuy" party at the Venetian’s club Tao. And if you want to buddy up with an old school Latin star, you can join Erik Estrada at the Luxor for his "CHiPs and Salsa Fiesta." No word on whether or not he’ll show up in his classic “Ponch” costume.

Washington D.C. Cinco fans may be in for an extra sweet treat. There’s a chance you could run into Eva Longoria, American Ferrera, and Rosario Dawson sipping sangria at the nation’s capital. All three ladies will be meeting with President Barack Obama on May 5 to discuss projects like the National Latino Museum.

And for the rest of us who may be spending our Cinco at home, we highly recommend tuning in to Thursday’s edition of Lopez Tonight. As expected, George will have all kinds of Mexico-centric festivities planned and a rumored “surprise announcement” from guest Carlos Santana.
