There is no denying that the end of The Oprah Winfrey Show has left a void with women and mothers everywhere. But one new website is hoping to pick up the slack, particularly within the Hispanic segment. Launching this week, Mamiverse.com wants to be the ultimate "go to" destination for Latinas in need of some digital TLC.

Created by former HarperCollins editor Rene Alegria, Mamiverse has been a long time coming. Alegria is an Arizona native, who has built his career working with well-known Latina writers. Authors like Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez and Maria Perez-Brown have worked closely with Rene in the past and will be ongoing contributors to the Mamiverse.

Alegria was quick to point out that Mamiverse will be an English-based site. When discussing the objectives, it's clear that Rene did his homework and knows exactly whom he wants to target.

"I always see these campaigns, they do so much in Spanish," Alegria said. "But they're not speaking to the bicultural, English-dominant Latino. The next César Chávez, is going to be a Latina mom."

Rene also explained how he was inspired by the turmoil going on in his home state. Between the SB 1070 drama and the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, he felt the need to base his new venture in Arizona and to offer a mature Latina perspective on the country's most pressing political stories.

But don't worry, Mamiverse will certainly not be taking itself too seriously. As the all-powerful Ms. Winfrey can attest, makeovers, parenting, and lifestyle segments are just as important to the female audience.

For Mamiverse, Rene has brought on Daisy Fuentes for an advice column, CNN producer Rosa Arce for mom tips, and TV vet Maria Hinojosa for video segments about raising teens. Of course, Valdes-Rodriguez and Perez-Brown will be contributing too, with a variety of topics ranging from shopping to dating.

Hinojosa, in particular, sees quite a big future ahead for the Mamiverse and its audience. When speaking on the power of the modern-day Latina, she said,

"Politically, oh my God, could Latinas become the next soccer moms? At the risk of using a little Spanish, get ready for the fútbol moms!"

Crazy mothers are a dime a dozen in Hollywood and Eva Mendes is adding one more to the list for her new movie "Ansiedad." The 37-year-old actress plays an immature mother who has an intense relationship with her daughter.

Mendes is also set to co-star along Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez. The movie directed by Patricia Riggen has already received lots of buzz for being one of the five finalist in the Nicholl’s Screenwriting Fellowship back in 2009.

Eva Mendes explained how excited she is about her new role:

"In the movie, my daughter always tells me 'mom, why did you name me Ansiedad? Why did you pick such an ugly name for me? I tell her, 'girl, it's a name of a song, un bolero.' I play an irresponsible parent. A young mom that's still a little guy crazy. Immature."

We can wait to see Eva on the big screen again! "Ansiedad" is slated to be released this fall.

What is a good reality television show without a little scandal, verdad? "Nuestra Belleza" finalist Juliet Cabrera has found herself in the middle of controversy over half-naked photos that have recently surfaced on the web.

One look at the pictures and you would think that the Cuban contestant belongs on the cover of Playboy instead of on the runway of a beauty pageant. Producers of the hit show, which airs on Univision on Sundays, are currently in talks about whether to keep Cabrera in the competition. Perhaps it will all depend on what kind of ratings this scandal brings in, don't you think?

These photos make Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton seem like angels!

Do you think Cabrera should be eliminated from the competition?

Christina Aguilera's baby boy Max is probably swaying to "Yo Gabba Gabba!" moves as we speak, but the "Not Myself Tonight" singer hopes that her son grows up with a deep appreciation for the female form.

In a recent interview with MTV News, the petite beauty admits that it's important to expose her son to artistic images of sexually empowered women:

My little son, he will go up in a household that is very artistic. He is surrounded around a lot of artwork and a lot of nude women in art. That will very much be a part of his life and appreciating a woman's beauty and the fact that women are allowed to express themselves in a sexual way.

Throughout her decade long career, Christina has exposed her powerhouse voice as much as her sexual nature. Who can forget her violently captivating x-rated moves in the "Dirty" video? X-Tina is still oozing sexuality in her latest "Bionic" burlesque dance moves for her new video "Not Myself Tonight." With a mother like Christina, we doubt Max will ever have a problem appreciating feminine beauty!

Would you take motherly advice from X-Tina? Watch raw interview footage of Christina Aguilera and be sure to keep a look out for her album "Bionic," which drops June 8th.
