While Lady Gaga might be successful in the music industry, her father may not be so lucky as a restauranteur. Joe Germanotta's new Manhattan restaurant received horrible reviews on opening night.

Gaga's parents recently teamed up with Art Smith, Oprah's former personal chef, to open up an Italian restaurant in Manhattan's Upper West Side. The restaurant was named Joanne, which happens to be Lady Gaga's middle name.

New York Post restaurant critic Steve Cuozzo sampled the restaurant's cuisine during their big night, and he had no qualms writing about how much he despised it.

"You'll gag on the food at Gaga's," he stated.

While Cuozzo admits it isn't really fair to judge the full potential of the restaurant on opening night, he still had some pretty bad things to say.

"One-note orecchiette with shellfish recalled the the flacid pasta commonly doled out along Long Island's Jericho Turnpike- or at 35,000 feet. Unspeakably fatty veal osso bucco was $38. In a review the other day, I criticized the same dish at Caffe Storico, where it cost only $28. Come back, Caffe Storico! All is forgiven."

Not great for publicity. Despite all the celebrity connected with the restaurant, a bad review is a bad review.

Would you dine at Gaga's dad's new restaurant despite the negative reviews?

Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige and Pink are amongst the divas to make Oscar’s Cut for 2012's Best Original Song, but unfortunately the Queen Diva, Madonna, did not get her nod because of rules of the Academy!

The Academy's list of 39 songs that could go on to win the Oscar has a little to please everyone, from indie to pop, to country, and R&B and even classical.

There's Lady Gaga and Elton John's duet with the song Hello Hello, featured in the animated Gnomeo & Juliet, Pink for Happy Feet TwoSinead O’Connor in a song co-written by Glenn Close for Albert Nobbs and Mary J. Blige for The Help.

There was one notable snub to the Diva of Divas because of the rules of the academy: MasterpieceMadonna's subtly named ballad from the historical romance she directed, W.E., was not eligible, as the HitFix blog reported. Madge's composition did have words and music, as required by the Academy, but it was not used in the context of the film which is the broken rule; instead it is heard over the closing credits, second after another piece of music. If it’s over the credits, it has to be the first song when the credits roll. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association were a little more forgiving; the song was nominated for a Golden Globe.

The list will be whittled down to five main contenders and the final nominees will be announced on 24 January (12).

It was another hectic day in the city of Angels on Saturday, December 3rd because my radio station KIIS FM held it's annual Jingle Ball concert! The word epic is a great way to define the night. With performances by David Guetta, Gym Class Heroes and Lady Gaga our LA listeners and concert goers were definitely getting an experience they were never going to forget. The days are really hectic for everyone on the stations talent roster including me!

The day began with a quick make-up session with my girl Tania (@LooksByTaniaQ) which by the way is my favorite time of any working day. Who doesn't love make-up and girl time? As soon as my outfit was complete I headed down to Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles! I did a few interviews during our pre-show concert with the cuties from Mindless Behavior. Can I just say those boys are so focused on a big dream and that is extremely inspiring for any one any age, good luck MB! It was almost show time and I was part of the show opener with my co-host on the JoJo on the Radio Show TJ Rhymes (@TJRhymes). Now this is my favorite part because we are the first people to greet our audience to Jingle Ball on the theaters jumbotrons. All the shots are LIVE which can be hectic but we got it together and delivered.

The backstage area is always crazy! You have KIIS staff, Artist entourage, dancers, groupies... picture a complete movie scene. My girl Geena the Latina (@GeenaTheLatina) was the host for our UStream LIVE coverage from the red carpet which was by far the coolest interaction all the fans can have if they weren't able to get tickets. Our station also has a very impressive Gifting Suite for the talent who attend the show. Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kat Graham, the cast of Pretty Little Liars are just a few names lucky enough to get some awesome gifts. Shout out to Nelson (@laffit), Amy Sugarman and staff for their amazing work! I was able to walk the suite but I have to admit my favorite piece had to be my new purse from Imoshion (@imoshion), thanks guys!

Now it was time for a little RR after all my duties and enjoy Lady Gaga! I was so happy she included her new Christmas songs during her performance. She even changed the lyrics from Christmas to KIISmas...get it?!?! That’s love! If you were there I hope you had the time of your life until next time Tr3s.com !

XO

The theatrical Lady Gaga has outdone herself again. This time, it's with a 14 minute long video of 'Marry the Night,' which she directed herself.

The video is an expression of what Gaga relayed as one of the worst days of her life, the very day

"She saw her dreams slipping away from her- when she was dropped from her first label, Island Def Jam."

I bet the label is kicking themselves in the rear right about now, letting her slip away like that.

The video is one of Gaga's most personal yet, and begins with a philosophical soliloquy of art and trauma as she is being wheeled into the emergency room while she comments on the nurses' outfits and eating gummy bears.

From there, the "Morphine Princess," as one of the nurses calls Gaga in the video, embarks upon a surreal and dark journey after proclaiming

"I'm going to be a star, because I have nothing else to lose."

Watch the most bizarre Cheerio-filled ballet routine as Gaga paints her hair blue and wreaks havoc on some old denim, rocking her Bedazzler and her studded sun glasses, as she aspires to make it big in show business.

When the music finally starts, we find Gaga at a fiery car accident scene, putting on lipstick and lighting her cigarette. She proceeds to crawl and dance on cars while belting out her insane dance lyrics and strutting around a dance studio, glammed out as usual.

What do you think of Lady Gaga's new video?

Something tells us there will be a lot of Doo Wops & Hooligans coming out of the L.A. Convention Center next February. The debut record by Bruno Mars received an impressive amount of Grammy nominations Wednesday night, including a nod for Album of the Year.

In total, Bruno nabbed six nominations, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year (for "Grenade"), and Best Pop Solo Performance. His numbers were only topped by Kanye West, who scored seven nods for tracks like "All Of The Lights" and "Otis" from Watch The Throne.

British crooner Adele didn't do too shabby either. He 21 album got a ton of Grammy love, as did her signature song "Rolling In The Deep." Other recognizable contenders include Katy Perry, Rihanna, and The Foo Fighters.

Lady Gaga's Born This Way is up for Album of the Year too, which we're actually doubly excited about. Not just for the Little Monster, but for our Tr3s Coolturista Fernando Garibay, who's been recognized as a producer.

And though the Latin Grammys have come and gone, there are still Tropical categories that'll get their due during the big show. Los Tigres del Norte scored a nomination in the Best Banda category and Tr3s fave Gustavo Galindo scored a nod in the Best Latin Album category (though he’ll be going up against Maná and Calle 13!).

CBS put on an entire televised concert to celebrate the nominations, which featured performances by the likes of Usher and Rihanna. There was even an interesting Gaga/Sugarland duet, which could be an exciting taste of things to come. Mars, who was at the concert, seemed thrilled by the end of the night and even made up a tweet word to express his excitement.

"I've been trynna think of something clever to say.. But the only thing that comes to my mind is... FRIKIKIKIKI!! We Did It! #Hooligans" he posted.

We're definitely looking forward to some fun "FRIKIKIKIKI" performances from Bruno, Adele, and Big Bad Kanye when the 2012 Grammy Awards go down on February 10!

There is major drama in Gaga's world this week! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lady Gaga and her longtime choreographer and creative director LaurieAnn Gibson have parted ways.

The website MediaTakeOut, which revealed LaurieAnn's departure, reported that ongoing creative tension culminated in a "bitter argument" over the telephone last week, during which LaurieAnn got the boot.

"A lot of things were said, and it was very heated," the website reported. "Laurieann ended up hanging up and saying she was suing." Lady Gaga's spokesman said the duo's commercial relationship was over.

Their partnership started back in 2007, when Gaga was fresh meat at Interscope Records. LaurieAnn started working as her choreographer, then became one of the creative minds behind Gaga's videos.

Interscope Records has had credits choreographing nearly every Lady Gaga video released so far, including "Poker Face", "Just Dance", "Telephone", "Alejandro", and "Born This Way". And she has also worked closely with the singer on her live performances and massive stage shows.

Recently LaurieAnn had to balance the release of Gaga's Born This Way album with a few projects of her own: she launched the BET dance competition show Born to Dance, E!'s dance reality show The Dance Scene, and directed Gaga's Emmy-winning HBO concert special.  All this success, according to the buzz, apparently had turned LaurieAnn into somewhat of a diva herself.

The turmoil all started when LaurieAnn was asked about her thoughts on Gaga's ongoing comparison to Madonna. This little question led to a storm of controversy when the comments surfaced. LaurieAnn spoke of the ways in which she modeled Gaga's visual aesthetic on Madonna's work.

LaurieAnn said that Madonna "should be bitter, because I did it on purpose, and you can quote me. I did it on purpose because for all those kids who believe that you can’t, I wanted to let them feel that you can. And that’s what I represent, that’s what Gaga represents.”  Gaga on the contrary denied her modeling of Madonna’s style and work.

These comments were the beginning of the tension between the two. And the rift seemed to continue once LaurieAnn began directing Gaga's videos. LaurieAnn, who co-directed Gaga's Judas video, said she was uncomfortable with the way the tune confronted religion.

"At one point, there was two completely different views and after the third glass of wine, I was like, 'Listen, I don't want lightning to strike me. I believe in the Gospel and I'm not going there," LaurieAnn said.
LaurieAnn Gibson may have been canned over creative differences and/or diva-ish behavior, but it's no doubt that her contributions to Gaga's career have been essential. LaurieAnn was often described as one third of the "creative trifecta" behind Gaga's extraordinary success. She worked alongside Stefani Germanotta, largely responsible Gaga's music, and Nicola Formichetti, the designer behind the flashy Gaga outfits.

Richard Jackson is now choreographing Gaga's performances.

Gaga tweeted last week:

"Warming up with my choreographer Richard Jackson, singing + pinning garments till the last moment. So excited for The Night, gonna Marry It."

What do you think of the Gaga-Gibson breakup?

For the second year in a row, MTV's Europe Music Awards were all about Gaga. The Little Monster proved to be Belfast's star of the night, winning tons of awards and shocking the crowd with a provocative moon-shaped dress. Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Katy Perry got plenty of cheers too, as did the evening's hostess, Selena Gomez.

Proving herself to be a very capable MC, Selena kept the night rolling with timely jokes, solid presenting skills (including a moment where she was surrounded by flames), and a sexy white dress. Interestingly, Gomez walked the red carpet solo for the event, prompting many to speculate whether she and "The Biebs" had broken up.

Justin also hinted that he was a single man again, making no mention of Selena during his acceptance speeches for Best Pop Act and Best Male Act. He did, however, address the baby daddy rumors that have been plaguing him, saying to the crowd,

"There's been a lot of crap on the internet lately, but I've pulled through it. Thanks to MTV."

Lady Gaga made sure to throw in a few wisecracks too, particularly towards one of the night's big presenters, David Hasselhoff.

"I'm in the dressing room next to you and you have a very big p****," she told "The Hoff" from the stage.

But afterwards, Gaga seemed genuinely humbled by her awards, which included Best Female Act, Best Video, and Best Song for "Born This Way." She also performed one of her newest hits, "Marry The Night" wearing a circular red gown atop a giant moon crater.

Speaking about her "Born This Way" win, Lady G went on to say,

"I knew this was very special when I wrote it, and I didn't know when I first started out as a songwriter how special it would be. It’s the most important single to me."

Other big performers of the night included Bruno Mars (who won two awards), Coldplay, Snow Patrol, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. And though Katy Perry didn't belt out any songs, she did take home the EMA Best Live award.

"It's easy to buy a song, download a song, steal a song. But to buy a ticket and see an act live is real commitment," Katy told the cheering crowd after accepting her statue.

And proving that the EMAs still had some British pride, UK crooner Amy Winehouse received a touching musical tribute and the English band Queen took home the Global Icon prize.

Ready to get into the holiday spirit? Clear Channel Communications sure hopes you are. They've already lined up a ton of musical talent for their annual Jingle Ball concerts.

A holiday tradition for over 10 years, the Jingle Ball shows have delivered some incredible live performances. Mariah Carey, Shakira, and Justin Timberlake have all graced its stage and have been known to break out a Christmas carol or two for the cheering crowds.

This year, it's Jingle Ball L.A. and New York that seem to be attracting the most attention. On the east coast, Clear Channel's Z100 station will be hosting the event, which will feature performances from Demi Lovato, Pitbull, and LMFAO. Newly-single Kim Kardashian will co-host the concert along with her sister Khloe.

On the west coast, Clear Channel's KIIS-FM will oversee the Ball. Ryan Seacrest is expected to MC the festivities, which will feature live music from Lady Gaga, Taio Cruz, and Flo Rida.

Attention all monster and ghouls, it's that time of the year again! I can already smell the piles and piles of candy... hmmm. But before any of us can go out and party the night away, what are you going to wear?

Don't worry, I got you covered with this year's hottest Halloween costumes and some cool do it yourself tips that won't break the bank. This year it's all about standing out, so please put that old witch hat and bumblebee costume to rest.

Thinking about being a vampire this year? Sorry Twilight fans, but the hottest trend to re-appear this year are blood thirsty zombies thanks to the hit show The Walking Dead. This is a great costume that anyone can do with little to no effort, depending on how bloody you want to get.

Many stores like Ricky's NYC and Hot Topic carry fake blood that you can smear onto a shredded white T-shirt and tattered jeans. If you want to go all out, why not try a Lady Gaga-esque Born This Way zombie look? With a simple suit and outrageous face make-up you can transform yourself to this. If you want to be a zombie killer, you can dress up as one of the cops on The Walking Dead.

Any barbies out there? Of course, I'm referring to Nicki Minaj, who's crazy outfits have inspired a number of insane costumes this year. All you need is a brightly colored wig, preferably with blunt cut bangs, and the most colorful outrageous outfit you can put together (no giant trasero included). One look that we'll definitely be seeing this weekend is her controversial VMA outfit.

Speaking of controversial celebrities, what better way to remember Amy Winehouse than to be her? The buzz surrounding the premature death of the troubled singer earlier this year will definitely resurrect many Amy's this weekend. Unless you can do your own beehive and have long black hair, this costume requires the purchase of a beehive wig but that's about it. Pair this wig with a white tank, skinny jeans and exaggerated black eyeliner and you're good to go! You can even purchase temporary tattoos designed like Amy's very own, check these out from Amazon.

But who wants to be a dead person when you can be a wild animal? The hottest trend this year are furry animal hoods! Celebrities like Khloe Kardashian, Pink and Vanessa Hudgens have all been caught sporting the trend. You can really test your DIY skills by pairing the hood with other animal inspired clothing and boots or dressing it down like Pink.

If you want to go the royal route this year there are a ton of options. Princess Kate Middleton is a popular choice and for those of you have can't afford the royal price tag, there are many websites like Modern Mrs.Darcy that give excellent DIY tips on how to transform yourself into the royal beauty.

If you're not feeling particularly royal, how about an evil Black Swan? Natalie Portman's Oscar-winning role has given everyone ballerina fever. This look is easy to pull off with a black tutu, a black body suit and ballet flats. Beauty blogger extraordinaire, Michelle Phan, provides an amazing Black Swan make-up tutorial. Phan also gives equally great make-up tutorials for classics such as Catwoman, Disney Princesses and Lady Gaga!

Want to get inspired? Check out American Apparel's DIY Halloween Contest and as Lady Gaga would say, please be safe out there little monsters because you never know what tricks the night has up its sleeve...

What will you dress up as this Halloween?

Even though he's been out of office for over ten years, Bill Clinton still proved his viability at this weekend's "Decade of Difference" concert. Attracting some of the biggest stars on the planet, his Hollywood Bowl benefit show featured awesome musical performances, memorable speeches, and an online simulcast that was seen by millions.

The purpose of the concert was to honor the former Prez and his charitable Clinton Foundation. It also happened to coincide with his 65th birthday, which Lady Gaga made sure the crowd was well aware of. Channeling vintage Marilyn Monroe, the Little Monster sung Bill a very sexy version of "Bad Romance."

Clinton had joked earlier that he was a tad nervous about what Gaga may attempt to do.

"I wondered, you know, she always kind of goes up to the edge, she said she was going to have a Marilyn moment," he said on stage. "I thought, 'my God, I get Lady Gaga and I will have a heart attack celebrating my 65th birthday.'"

And Lady G was just the tip of the musical iceberg. Throughout the night, legendary artists like Stevie Wonder and Bono took the mic and belted out their classic hits. Tr3s fave Juanes had some memorable moments too, singing tracks from his Mi Sangre album and sharing his personal Bill stories with the crowd.

But don't think the Clinton celebration was just limited to the Saturday concert. Friday night, the Foundation hosted a gala dinner featuring a ton of A-list celebs. Jessica Alba, Stevie Nicks, and Fergie were just a few of the famous faces who were seen mingling at the event. And if you're curious about which star attracted the most attention, it was undoubtedly Sofia Vergara in her shimmering black dress.

Other weekend highlights included a Saturday brunch hosted by former first daughter Chelsea Clinton and Sunday golf with Bill and his closest confidants. Not a bad way to spend a birthday if you ask us. And what makes things even better is the fact that the "Decade of Difference" concert tickets helped raise millions for the Foundation’s causes.
