It's been quite an eventful few days. This past weekend, there were Hanukkah candles, Christmas parties, and Kwanzaa celebrations in full force around the world. And in good old La La Land, plenty of our favorite celebs made sure to kick off the festivities too.
Justin Bieber pulled out all the stops and surprised a childhood friend in Canada with his gift: a Ford Mustang convertible.
Hanukkah (which started last week) proved to be quite a popular topic among Hollywood Tweeters.
Bieber also made a point to issue Hanukkah shout outs to several of his Jewish friends.
"Happy Hanukkah @dankanter @yaelkanter @allisonkaye @carinmb @scooterbraun," he wrote.
Private Practice’s Taye Diggs posted:
"Yo! Wishing all of my funky fresh Jewish folks Happy Chanukah!!! Light it up, y'all! (the menorah)".
And Ryan Seacrest confessed his love for Jewish food during the "Eight Crazy Nights."
"I'm not Jewish but the dinner menus tonight makes me wish I were! Happy Hanukkah to all u guys celebrating," he posted.
Christmas happened to fall on a Sunday, but the night before stirred up a ton of celebrity Twitpix. Alyssa Milano posted an adorable snap of her baby son Milo in a Santa Claus outfit. And, as expected, the Kardashian clan made their holiday presence known too. Kourtney’s son Mason posed alongside Uncle Rob and Kylie Jenner for a very cute instagram portrait.
"Wanna tweet a pic of @RobKardashian in his holiday pajama's!" big sister Kim Tweeted. "But he won't let me! Our fam pj's this year are so cute! We all look like Santa."
Snooki made sure her Twitter fans got some holiday love too. Posing alongside her boyfriend Jionni, the Jersey Shore star joyfully posted,
"My baby at the end of Christmas! We're still celebratin!"
Of course, if you were really eager to stargaze on Christmas, all you had to do was buy a ticket to the L.A. Laker home game opener. Over at SoCal's Staples Center, stars like Kanye West, Adam Levine, Wilmer Valderrama, and George Lopez showed their support for the yellow and gold. Not surprisingly, Vanessa "soon-to-be-ex-Mrs." Bryant made sure to skip that event.
Yesterday, the festivities just kept on coming with the annual celebration of Kwanzaa. The African holiday has gained quite a bit of traction among celebrities, with stars like Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, and Angelina Jolie honoring its importance in years' past.
This weekend, Tyra Banks made sure to give the holiday a shout out, lumping it in with all of the other big events of the season.
"Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa! However u celebrate, hope u’re having a #FIERCE holiday fam!" she Tweeted.
We’re definitely in support of that notion. And we’re certain this weekend's new year's parties will provide plenty more creative celebrity tweets.

Something tells us there will be a lot of Doo Wops & Hooligans coming out of the L.A. Convention Center next February. The debut record by Bruno Mars received an impressive amount of Grammy nominations Wednesday night, including a nod for Album of the Year.
In total, Bruno nabbed six nominations, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year (for "Grenade"), and Best Pop Solo Performance. His numbers were only topped by Kanye West, who scored seven nods for tracks like "All Of The Lights" and "Otis" from Watch The Throne.
British crooner Adele didn't do too shabby either. He 21 album got a ton of Grammy love, as did her signature song "Rolling In The Deep." Other recognizable contenders include Katy Perry, Rihanna, and The Foo Fighters.
Lady Gaga's Born This Way is up for Album of the Year too, which we're actually doubly excited about. Not just for the Little Monster, but for our Tr3s Coolturista Fernando Garibay, who's been recognized as a producer.
And though the Latin Grammys have come and gone, there are still Tropical categories that'll get their due during the big show. Los Tigres del Norte scored a nomination in the Best Banda category and Tr3s fave Gustavo Galindo scored a nod in the Best Latin Album category (though he’ll be going up against Maná and Calle 13!).
CBS put on an entire televised concert to celebrate the nominations, which featured performances by the likes of Usher and Rihanna. There was even an interesting Gaga/Sugarland duet, which could be an exciting taste of things to come. Mars, who was at the concert, seemed thrilled by the end of the night and even made up a tweet word to express his excitement.
"I've been trynna think of something clever to say.. But the only thing that comes to my mind is... FRIKIKIKIKI!! We Did It! #Hooligans" he posted.
We're definitely looking forward to some fun "FRIKIKIKIKI" performances from Bruno, Adele, and Big Bad Kanye when the 2012 Grammy Awards go down on February 10!

Hola Mis Blogamolies! Last Night Miami was invaded by THE THRONE! Well, by Jay Z & Kanye West who really made us “WATCH THE THRONE”!!
The night was truly STAR-STUDDED! First up we had Mr. Miami Heat himself, Dwayne Wade, with his beautiful girlfriend Gabrielle Union and let me tell you the crowd went wild, but not as wild as when fellow teammate Lebron James came into the VIP section and both were all in Heat gear representing the Miami Heat!
Then it got a little crazy everyone, from Will Smith, Pharrell, Fabolous, DJ Khaled, DJ Irie and NEW YORK YANKEES' own Jorge Posada and Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez (Qué papi!) were ready to get the show started. Even Beyoncé and baby bump were in attendance but secretly got around so she wouldn't be seen.
Mrs. Carter had plenty to distract the crowd from her, everything from the super HD video screens and light show to the double rising stage that Hova and Kanye started their performances from. They covered all their mega hits from the “Watch the Throne” album and their individual classics as well.
Mr. West hit us with some hits such as "Stronger", "Gold Digger", "Through the Wire" and my personal favorite "All of the Lights"; Jay-Z did super classics like "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)," "Jigga What Jigga Who” and "99 Problems."
They kept the music and entertainment coming and gave every concert goer their money's worth! Oh and the fashion went from Hovas classic Yankee fitted to Kanye's crazy style! I think that absolutely nothing was better than the "record" that Jay-Z and Kanye West broke singing "N****s In Paris."
They had previously stated that the record had been to do the song 3 times and in Miami they did it 5 TIMES! Every time it was done the crowd went wild including D-Wade & LeBron! It was definitely an experience of a lifetime! Make sure you keep up to date and with all the chismes about Jay-Z and Kanye West and your favorite artists here on www.TR3S.com
Un besito,

The state of Georgia executed Troy Davis last night, despite much opposition from the American public, including many high-profile celebrities. Davis was killed by lethal injection at 11:08 pm in a central Georgia prison. The execution was delayed by over 4 hours in hopes that the Supreme Court would grant the prisoner his appeal.
Tons of online petitions were created in hopes this convicted cop killer would be saved, but they were unsuccessful. Davis was originally scheduled to be executed at 7 pm for the murder of off-duty police officer Mark MacPhail in Savannah, GA in 1989.
Many celebrities twittered about the lack of beyond-a-reasonable-doubt evidence pointing to the convicted felon's guilt, including hip-hop artist Big Boi, Sean Diddy Combs, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Kim Kardashian. Hashtags included #FreeTroyDavis, #TooMuchDoubt, and #meetmeinjackson, referring to a peaceful rally in Jackson, GA in hopes of saving Davis from being executed for his crime.
Other celebrities sought to raise awareness on Troy Davis' situation. Russell Simmons also used his Twitter account to inform Katy Perry and Kanye West about the execution and about the lack of conclusive evidence surrounding the case.
It's not just the hip-hop community that is all over this case. Sandra Bernhard used her Twitter to urge followers to rally in Davis' defense. Even the Atlanta-based group, The Indigo Girls, have been tweeting about Davis in efforts to raise awareness as well.
While all this celebrity compassion may be nice, this is also proof of how people can overestimate the power of social media. Touré, a television personality and cultural critic, brought up an interesting point.
"I care about Troy Davis. I don't want the brother to be executed. But I don't think tweeting about him will save his life."
Do you think Troy Davis was innocent, or was he deserving of the death penalty because of his violent crime?

Chris Brown is really trying to prove himself by flying in the air with his dancers. His music peers are standing during his performance: Kanye West, Tyga even LMFAO!
Not sure if he made the statement he wanted but the Odd Future guys behind kept laughing at him the entire time saying "homie is turn up literally"
Ha! By the way Adele was SO nervous during her performance she kept taking deep breath prior to her performance. Chris Brown did the same that's how good these seats are hahahah I could see when the artist are breathing and not ! Ha!
More champagne, please!

Nicki Minaj takes it home for the ladies for Best Hip Hop video! Yo, can we take a second to talk about my seat!!!!
I'm sitting in front of Odd Future next to Kevin Hart and behind Young The Giant, can you spot me?
Paul Rudd and Kevin Hart are apparently bestows because they just had an inside joke moment Rick Ross looked lost as he was trying to ease drop!
My girl Katy Perry just won!!!! Kanye West came to interrupt her!!!
The carpet was a huge success. We caught up with Zoe Saldana, Katy Perry and even Justin Bieber. I can't wait for you guys to check the footage. Aside from last years carpet which was outside and had a white carpet (not red) this year we were indoors inside the Marriott Hotel on a black carpet.
Honestly, the carpet set up felt like Lady Gaga's baby mansion. It had insane ancient alien looking rolling structure where the celebrities walked in through before hitting the press.
The stage inside is amazing! MTV always goes all out!

Obviously the release of the Watch The Throne album is reason enough to celebrate. The legendary collaboration between Jay-Z and Kanye West has attracted a huge amount of attention. And for the kickoff, Hova threw a massive party in Miami.
Held at the city's popular Club Liv, the Throne fiesta seemed to spare no expense. To help usher in the festivities, Jay-Z popped open a $250,000 bottle of champagne, setting a record for the club's biggest bar tab.
Kanye was unfortunately traveling overseas, but that didn't stop the onslaught of other local celebs from getting their party on. Tr3s faves Alex Rodriguez and Daddy Yankee were spotted in the crowd, as were Flo Rida and DJ Clue.
Of course the true star of the night was the $250k bottle of Ace Of Spades champagne. Broken down into sheer numbers, it wound up costing several thousand dollars a glass! But by the huge smiles seen on the Throne guests' faces, it was well worth it.

Two years after his death, Michael Jackson’s popularity continues to thrive. His albums still dominate the charts, his influence is constantly felt, and his websites receive millions of regular hits. Perhaps that’s the reason that his mom Katherine is now putting together a tribute concert and recruiting Christina Aguilera, Kanye West, and Bruno Mars for help.
Dubbed Michael Forever, the October show will reportedly be set in Wales and feature a ton of top talent. Cee-Lo has already agreed to participate and TMZ claims that Kanye and Xtina are "very close" to saying yes.
If Katherine has her wish, the Forever show will feature the music industry’s heaviest hitters. Invitations have been sent out to Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Usher, and more. Though unfortunately because of a scheduling conflict, Bruno was forced to "respectfully decline."
So far, tickets have yet to go on sale. But when they do, we won’t be surprised if several die-hard MJ fans start filling up seats on several transatlantic airline flights.
