Looks like Justin Timberlake is bringing sexy couple status back with Jessica Biel. The couple hasn't officially announced their engagement, but Justin's grandmother has confirmed they are tying the knot.

Sadie Bomar, Justin's maternal grandmother, spoke to gossip reporters and confirmed the rumor, stating that she recently found out on Christmas day.

"Yes, Justin is engaged. Jessica is a very sweet girl, she's upright and everything and we love her."

It's good to see that grandma approves. The Timberlake-Biel engagement rumors began to circulate just a few days earlier this year, when it was reported the couple was vacationing in Wyoming.

Bomar clarified the rumor, stating Justin and Jessica were actually engaged while vacationing in Montana. She also confirmed that Justin gave Jessica a "custom-designed" ring.

Justin's grandma is no newbie when it comes to giving juicy details to the press. She has volunteered information about the status of this Hollywood couple in the past, when Timberlake and Biel were going through a stormy on again, off again period.

"Jessica was keen to marry, but Justin isn't ready. As far as we're concerned, he's always been single... The girlfriends come and go, but we believe nothing has ever been serious."

What a great way to ring in the new year! I guess it just took Jessica Biel a little time to make an honest man out of Timberlake. If you would have asked Bomar about the couple years ago, her response would have been different.

Elton John is moving forward with plans to turn his life story into a major movie-musical with help from his film-producer partner David Furnish.

Sir Elton says the film on his life story has finally landed a director and he already knows who should play him. Sir Elton John has named Justin Timberlake as his "number one" choice to star in his upcoming biopic.

The Rocketman movie will tell the story of the star's life and career through his music. Timberlake previously played the singer in one of his music videos.

"I've got a wish list of people," the Elton John tells the L.A. Times after it asked who should play him in the planned film. "No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of 'Rocket Man' and was superb."

Elton says the biopic will feature songs from his career and possibly a few new ones. Written by Billy Elliot scribe, Lee Hall, the singer describes the film as a "surreal" look at his life rather than a strictly factual account, much in the vein of Moulin Rouge. He also says they've found a director, though it won't be Moulin Rouge’s Baz Luhrman.

"We tried to get Baz, but Baz is so busy," he says of finding the film's director. "We can't announce it yet, but we have got someone on board that we're very excited about."

John says they're currently working on the script "and then we'll start trying to cast and plan." Timberlake, recently had his first starring role in a film in In Time, so he'll have some experience when leading the Rocketman Movie!

Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue and queen of pop Madonna will sing together for the first time to mark Kylie's 25th anniversary in music! British TV station ITV is in the works for a star-studded special to commemorate the Kylie's career, with a spectacular finale bringing together the two divas of pop.

Many of us have only been dreaming for the moment when these two Music Powerhouses would join forces and WOW us like never before. Well the time has finally come to make this dream come true!

According to the Mirror's Dean Pipier, Kylie Minogue has huge plans for 2012 to celebrate her 25 years in the music industry, including the dream duet with Madonna.

"PLEASE let this come true!" writes Pipier. His source told him: "There will be lots of duets. The plan so far is for a duet with her sister Dannii, Jason Donovan and a finale featuring a duet with MADONNA."

Madge has done duets with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell, Justin Timberlake and Ricky Martin, while Kylie has collaborated with Robbie Williams, Nick Cave and former Neighbours beau Jason Donovan.

Madonna and Kylie are both fans of each other's work. Kylie has mentioned that Madonna has been an influence on her music, and both have been seen wearing T-shirts featuring the other's name.

Two years later, controversy persists over Brittany Murphy's death. The actress' mother, Sharon Murphy, has filed a lawsuit against the attorneys that represented her in a suit against the builders of the home where Murphy died. She claims the lawyers never told her about a possible wrongful death suit due to mold in the house.

The lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court comes nearly two years after the Dec. 20, 2009 death of Murphy, which was followed by the May 2010 death of her husband Simon Monjack in the same house. Sharon Murphy apparently was not aware that toxic mold was a cause in the death of her daughter and son-in-law until this past summer, when she was in the process of selling the Hollywood Hills Home.

Los Angeles County coroner's office did not find any evidence of mold during the autopsies on Murphy and Monjack, although it did find that pneumonia was part of their deaths.

The suit says that the law firm first hired in early 2009 "should have known that Brittany and Simon had died and that their deaths were the result of complications from conditions associated with the subject property". The law firm “had a duty to advise and/or inform (Sharon Murphy) that she may have had a wrongful death claim.”

Sharon and Brittany Murphy had purchased the five-bedroom home from singer Britney Spears in June 2003 for $3.85 million. Spears lived there with Justin Timberlake until their relationship ended.

Can you tell we have a thing for Richard Kelly? The stylish cult film director may have just earned a slot in the Pelis & Popcorn Hall of Fame. This week marks the debut of his second P & P entry and though it may not be as popular as his Donnie Darko masterpiece, Southland Tales is definitely worth a look.

Back in 2006, there was a lot of curiosity built around Tales. This was Kelly's followup 2001's Donnie Darko, leaving a five year gap between films. Unfortunately though, this particular movie didn't quite ignite at the box office. With its post-apocalyptic story and abstract undertones, it became known as an "acquired taste."

But if you're a fan of Richard's twisted view of the world, Southland Tales will not disappoint. Featuring an all-star cast (and some very interesting cameos), it's got memorable performances from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Seann William Scott (in a dual role!).

Southland also has a ton of familiar faces from years past. There's sitcom star John Larroquette as a shady politician, Revenge of the Nerds’ Curtis Armstrong as the aptly named Dr. Soberin Exx, and even that creepy Poltergeist lady in a brief role. Justin Timberlake pops in too, as the film's narrator.

And as far as the plot goes? Well that's all up for interpretation. Part sci-fi, part comedy, part brooding emo flick, Southland Tales is full of wry commentary. Kelly has mixed in characters from all walks of life. There are porn stars, crooked Senators, and power hungry scientists looking to destroy the fabric of space and time.

Yes Southland Tales can get weird at times, but it's also very intriguing. This is one of those movies we'd recommend recording and re-watching, because there's all kinds of subtleties you may miss the first time out. Plus, it's Halloween weekend. So why not bend your mind a bit with a creepy P & P that's sure to stay in psyche long after the credits roll.

It's one of the most talked about performances of the year, and now it's being reported that Madonna is to take center stage at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sunday, February 5, 2012.

Last month Madonna confirmed that she’s been recording a new album with producers William Orbit -responsible for the success of her 1998 album Ray of Light- and French DJ Martin Solveig of the inescapable "Hello".

We hate to admit this, but who didn't see this one coming?! According to reports, Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez have split up once again. Trust us, it's not as fascinating as the telenovela scenario A-Rod and Madonna stirred up a few years ago!

Close friends to the ex couple explain that the break-up was mutual and that the two have remained close friends:

"They're still close friends and will continue to be close friends. They have considerable respect for each other."

Cam and A-Rod were last seen celebrating his birthday in Miami during Labor Day weekend. Since then Diaz has been filming her upcoming flick "What to Expect When You're Expecting" in Atlanta while Rodriguez is playing the field (for the Yankees that is) in Seattle. The Hollywood actress was also spotted dining with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, but it didn't "appear to be romantic."

Rihanna makes her big screen debut in Battleship, based on the popular board game with the same name. The first images, just released, portray Rihanna as kick-ass officer Raikes. "Battleship", which hits theaters on 2012, tells the story of a fleet of Navy ships fighting an armada of unknown origins, and the pop diva is the only female on the crew of the ship.

We are used to seeing this pop beauty with the funky do's and the avant-garde fashion style but in Battleship we'll see a much more conservative Rihanna, in uniform as a toned down brunette, a much more proper look for that of a woman in military service. Her beauty still radiates, anyways.

Director Peter Berg casted Rihanna in the film, and she sounded excited about the outcome.

"It was a role I felt like I could handle for my first time acting and he (Berg) was super enthusiastic about it", she said in an interview with Fandango.

Preparing for the role wasn't easy. Rihanna had to undergo real Navy trainings, including weight lifting, swimming and bootcamp with the typical mean sergeant screaming in her face.

"One man drilled me, yelled at me, cursed me out, made me do push-ups!", she recalled.

- How could someone yell at such a pretty face? I certainly wouldn't be able to!

So is Rihanna on her way to become another pop-star-turned movie-star, like Justin Timberlake and Will Smith? I guess we'll have to wait and see. Battleship is set for release in May of 2012. The film also stars True Blood vampire Alexander Skarsgard, model Brooklyn Decker and Liam Neeson.

What would you do if your body stopped aging at 25... then you had an extra year and could live eternally forever?...The only thing, is that you have to buy your time to live... and if you don't do so, you can die tomorrow!! This is where director Andrew Niccol's newest Sci-Fi film In Time starts off. He already showed us a world in the future with perfect bodies in Gattaca.

In Time's trailer was just released and it presents a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop aging at 25, but there's a catch: you're genetically engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich "earn" decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day.

When a man from the wrong side of the tracks, played by Justin Timberlake, is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage -played by Amanda Seyfried. Living minute to minute, the duo’s love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system and against time. It's actually a very clever social commentary on the world we live today where the rich are set for life, but the poor are literally screwed!

Other 25 year-olds to look out for in the film are Olivia Wilde, Cillian Murphy, Johnny Galecki (Big Bang Theory), and Alex Pettyfer.

Niccol is a filmmaker with an amazingly unique vision and imagination of what the future beholds for our children's great-grandchildren. Niccol's films seem to focus on the concept of the fountain of youth that according to Justin Timberlake, is a subject we all seem to be obsessed with. Gattaca is a huge film fave amongst film buffs and will sure get Niccol's fans running to theaters when In Time is released this fall.

Another reason to run to theaters is to see Timberlake in his first leading role. Although some may think he should stick to singing, others are really excited to see him rise as a Triple Threat star. Love him or hate him, Justin Timberlake seems destined to become a major league Hollywood player, and an A-list actor in the likes of the Will Smith's rise from rap star to  movie star.

What's certain is that the ex-Nsync'er has payed his dues, and appeared in several films where he was actually pretty good. So good, in fact, that now he has his own leading role in a 100 million dollar budget film! After his success with The Social Network, it appears that he might have landed the role to put him on the map of Hollywood superstars.

So whether it be for Justin's leading man debut or to catch another glimpse of Niccol's wild imagination, this might be a good flick to put on your must watch list.

Honestly, isn't it refreshing to hear curse words and see nudity in a big budget movie? Too often summer films gets slapped with that notorious "PG-13" stamp, so more teenagers can get into the seats. But not Friends With Benefits. This relationship flick seems to be very proud of its "R" rating and uses its liberties for some great comedic fun.

Defining itself as an "anti-romantic comedy," Friends definitely skewers a lot of the stereotypes you're used to seeing in your average chick flick. In fact, one of the movie's funniest running gags involves a faux rom com movie (titled I Love You, I Love New York) that the characters wind up watching on cable TV.

Justin Timberlake's Dylan definitely carries himself with a cocky swagger in the beginning of the film. After breaking up with a controlling ex (played hilariously by Emma Stone), he decides to relocate his life and accept a new gig in New York City.

Jamie, Mila Kunis' character, is the headhunter who lands Dylan his east coast dream job and becomes his first real "friend" in the city. And writers David A. Newman and Keith Merryman did a fantastic job working out the banter between both of them. Jamie is able to come off tough, yet vulnerable in all the right moments.

Dylan's confident façade begins to crack too, and soon these Friends begin seeing a deeper side to one another. And, as you can expect, they eventually cross over into the Benefits territory, taking their platonic relationship into the bedroom.

The interesting thing about Friends is, its rejection of the chick flick mold actually makes you start to yearn for it after a while. Eventually you begin rooting for Dylan and Jamie and, though they have their ups and downs, you seriously hope they fall in love. Does Friends With Benefits ultimately surrender to its own clichés? Perhaps, but not without a few R-Rated zingers thrown in for fun.

Bottom Line: Though Friends is Justin's first "leading man" type role, he pulls it off with flying colors. Kunis' sarcastic wit is also very charming. But, if you're looking for a real LOL scene-stealer, wait until you see what Woody Harrelson brings to the table! It’s funny, it's fast-paced, and it's got just the right amount of heart. Definitely make Friends with this movie.
