Chismes have just been confirmed mi gente...

Juanes and his wife, Karen Martinez are expecting their third child together. The Colombiano singer's publicist affirmed that Karen is 2-months pregnant, and even revealed that Juanes toasted to the new family addition. No worries, we are certain that his wifey skipped the alcoholic bubbly! The couple have two girls named Luna and Paloma. Seems like they have a naturaleza theme going. Perhaps they just found their Sol? Felicidades! [People en Español]

Time to shout-out our rightful props to last night's Grammy winners...

Many of our estrellas may not have RSVP'ed for the annual event, but their victorious presence was definitely felt. Without a doubt, Juanes walked away with another trophy to add to his spanning collection. The "Odio Por Amor" singer snatched the "Best Latin Pop Album" for his masterful hit compilation, "La Vida ... Es Un Ratico."
Wisin y Yandel also claimed temptin' victory by beating-out competitors like Rakim y Ken-Y and Akwid for the "Best Latin Urban Album." Something tells us Los Extraterrestres are ready to dominate round two next year with their latest rhythmic album, "La Mente Maestra."
Of course, los roqueros rocked la noche as well. Jaguares out-numbered his contenders by winning the Latin Rock or Alternative Album for "45." Unlike Juanes and W&Y, Jaguares hit-up the red carpet and made sure to address their acceptance speech to us. We need to tease you with a little something for later no? Need more razones to celebrate? Check out our complete list of all of the ganadores in the Latin categories right below:
Latin Jazz Album: Song for Chico - Arturo O'Farrill and The Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra
Latin Pop Album: La Vida ... Es Un Ratico - Juanes
Latin Rock or Alternative Album: 45 - Jaguares
Latin Urban Album: Los Extraterrestres - Wisin y Yandel
Tropical Latin Album: Senor Bachata - Jose Feliciano

"Music My Guey" wants to turn you into the ultimate DJ by creating your own themed-playlist!

Check out the "Music My Guey" site and submit your custom-made playlist and share it with everyone in el barrio. An extremely savvy tr3s writer (ahem) created a Nuevo Año playlist worth playing at your next block party:
1. Julieta Venegas: "El Presente"
Who needs el pasado?! 2009 is all about enjoying el presente. One shot of Julieta's intoxicating canción guarantees a new beginning. No hangovers necessary.
2. Shakira: "Dia de Enero"
January should be about adding romance back into the priority list. Shaki warms-up a lonely afternoon without the cadera shaking beats she usually fires-up.
3. Juan Luis Guerra: "Ojalá Que Llueva Café"
Recession worries will melt away after turning-up this old school classic. What is bad about imagining a rain fall of billetes falling from the heavens? Juan Luis Guerra's poetic power makes you feel like anything is possible!
4. Juanes: "Odio Por Amor"
Paz should be the universal new year's resolution. Juanes will ignite the revolutionary spirit in todo el mundo. Si se puede!
5. Pitbull: "The Anthem"
Locos rejoice! There is no way to start things off without dancing with your sister, brother, abuela, and abuelo. The whole familia can jam to this Cubano's anthem.
Think you can come up with a better playlist? Submit your own on Music My Guey and become a rockstar instantly!

Wisin y Yandel and Juanes have topped la lista of nominations, but this batalla won't be easy to conquer. The dynamic duo will be fighting for several musical crowns, including "Best Artist of the Year," "Album of the Year" for "Los Extraterrestres," and "Song of the Year" for "Sexy Movimiento" and "Ahora Es." We think they definitely have a win sealed with two nominations in the same category!
Juanes also received high honors by receiving three nominations in the category "Song of the Year" for his chart-topping songs, “Arde el Cielo,” “Gotas de Agua Dulce,” and “Me Enamora.” His soul competitor will be Mana, which also snatched double noms in the categoria.
RBD may be retired from pop música, but the rebeldes will fight Belanova for the "Best Group of the Year" award. Did we also mention that Daddy Yankee and Don Omar are having it out for "Best Artist of the Year"?! The claws and fists are out! (Yes, that includes Ivy Queen.)

Juanes was able to recharge for the holidays, but the roquero is back into éxito mode with a concert in Manizales, Colombia tomorrow. The "Odio Por Amor" singer is teaming-up with Latin Grammy-winner, Miguel Bosé for an explosive concierto worth buying an airplane ticket for. Wait, scratch that. The performance is already sold-out!
We recently caught-up with Juanes to find out what career path he would have chosen outside of la música:
No sé.
Por favor, he was born to be a musical prodigy! We are glad he didn't settle for anything less. [MTV Tr3s Radio Noticias]

The past year has blessed Juanes to the fullest...

And he plans on continuing the celebration for 2009! The "Odio Por Amor" roquero snatched four coveted lengua awards at Los Premios, dominated the Latin Grammys, and even won the golden America's Trust Humanitarian award for his charity efforts all while completing his worldwide "La Vida...Es Un Ratico" tour. Besides hosting a free concert in Medellín, Colombia this month, Juanes plans on taking it suave during the holidays.
He states:
Para el 2009 yo creo que vendrá un descanso seguro porque bueno, esta gira ha sido, bueno ya llevamos un rato largo. La Vida…es un Ratico salió hace como un año , un poco más. He estado viajando por todo el mundo prácticamente.
He continues:
That is a mouthful! We definitely think this Colombiano deserves a peaceful New Year. Let's just hope he doesn't disappear for too long...[MTV Tr3s Radio Noticias]

Besides earning the America's Trust humanitarian award, Juanes is receiving cariñoso shout-outs from the dynamic duo. When it comes to paying respect to their industry comrades, the reggetoneros keep Juanes on their top list of influential estrellas.
Wisin y Yandel explain:
