Wondering why you haven't seen Jessica Alba in any new movies lately? It's probably because she's been spending quite a bit of time launching her new baby care business, The Honest Company.
Keeping with the "H" theme of Alba's two daughters Honor and Haven, The Honest Company (or Honest.com) will sell eco-friendly infant products via the web. New parents can use it to buy "green" diapers, non-toxic wipes, and a host of other items for a monthly fee.
And don't think of Honest.com as a small time celebrity operation. Jessica has partnered with LegalZoom founder Brian Lee and PriceGrabber.com’s Chris Gavigan to help get the business off the ground.
For roughly $36 a month, users can get an "essentials" pack, which includes cleaning products and a diaper bundle. And Alba's also keeping her charitable side intact too. A portion of all of the company's sales will go to the non-profit Baby2Baby organization, which give supplies to young families in need.

Maybe the Mayan end-of-the-world prediction got to people because this past new year's the parties were raging like never before! Several famous faces were spotted all over the country Saturday night, ringing in 2012 with plenty of style.
Over in Florida, Diddy hosted a huge party at his Miami estate. Known for throwing extravagant NYE bashes, the music mogul maintained his rep by launching a massive fireworks show and welcoming famous guests like Rihanna, Fat Joe, and Busta Rhymes. No official word on whether his rumored galpal, Cameron Diaz, was in attendance, but it certainly wouldn't surprise us if she was.
Interestingly, another Miami local made major headlines that night too. Heat superstar LeBron James rung in the new year as an engaged man! He popped the question to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson during a romantic dinner at a South Beach restaurant.
Over on the east coast, Tr3s faves Pitbull and Diego Torres made the rounds at New York's historic Times Square.
Pit's energetic performance of "Give Me Everything" was seen by over 13 million viewers on ABC's New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Mr. 305 was also on hand to watch the famous ball drop for the Dick Clark countdown.
Elsewhere in the city, new couple Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling shared a romantic evening at the Bowery Hotel. Selena Gomez hit the East Coast too, partying with boyfriend Justin Bieber until 3 am! And for the record, "The Biebs" earned quite a bit of musical credibility that night for his impassioned "Let It Be" duet with Carlos Santana.
As expected, Las Vegas proved to be a big NYE hotspot too. Kim Kardashian earned a cool $60,000 for hosting an Eve party at Tao in the Venetian Hotel. Stevie Wonder also nabbed a nice chunk of change on Saturday, performing to a sold-out crowd at Sin City's Cosmopolitan Resort.
On the west coast, Katy Perry seemed to be all smiles at L.A.'s trendy Soho House. The newly single star was seen dancing and partying alongside some of her closest friends. Mario Lopez hosted a sizable bash at Hollywood's Kodak Theater which included guests like Cobra Starship and a DJ performance by Tom Cruise's son, Connor.
And as far as the celebrity tweets go, many stars took time to reflect on 2011 and the exciting things in store for next year.
"I wanna wish you all a happy and safe new year," Bruno Mars wrote. "I thought 2010 was great but thanks to you guys 2011 has been the greatest year of my life!"
"Happy New Year! Health - happiness and love to you all!" Jessica Alba posted.
And Sofia Vergara sent out one of her signature Twitpix along with the quote, "Feliz anoooo!"

What a wild year it's been in the chisme world. There were enough baby bumps, nasty divorces, and estrella scandals to fill five seasons of Popland! And before that ball drops on 2011, we thought it would be fun to look back on some of our favorite Blogamole stories throughout the past 12 months.
2011 certainly kicked off with its share of chisme. There was that January announcement about Shakira splitting up with her longtime boyfriend Antonio de la Rua. Now we all know that she was spotted with her current flame, Gerard Piqué, just a short time later. Could there have been an overlapping relationship? We'll probably never know for sure, but thankfully Antonio has landed on his feet in the love department.
And speaking of love, quite a few new celebrity couples emerged in the past year. Perhaps the biggest of them all was Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. These two started getting spotted together in late 2010, but didn't announce their official "relationship" until the Oscars after-party in March.
Casper Smart and Jennifer Lopez made surprising couple news when they became an item this past November. Of course, that attaches itself to a much bigger chisme story; the JLo/Marc Anthony divorce! Nobody in the media saw that breakup coming and, from what we've heard so far, the split was not acrimonious.
Several other famous faces parted ways with their steadies this year. Zoe Saldana, who had been with her boyfriend for 11 years, broke off her engagement in November. And Ana de la Reguera endured a pretty public split too. Her man, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, publicly cheated back in January.
But the year wasn’t just filled with scandals. Plenty of happy new arrivals kept gossip blogs buzzing too. Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem welcomed their first child in January, Jessica Alba gave Honor Marie a younger sister back in August, and Benicio del Toro became a first-time daddy after a tryst with Kimberly Stewart.
2011 also proved to be stellar year for some Latino up-and-comers. Romeo Santos proved he could handle solo stardom just fine after the release of his album, Formula Vol. 1. Victoria Justice also created quite a bit of buzz this year, and not just for her singing abilities. She was able to hold down a hit TV show, movie roles, and major merchandising deals! One of our personal faves, Sie7e, made a big mark too, winning Best New Artist at the Latin Grammys.
But if we had to award one Chisme King of the Year, it would have to be Charlie Sheen. The self-described "Warlock" made more Blogamole headlines than just about any other star. Whether it was his "Tiger's Blood" rants, his Two and a Half Men drama, or his wacky intern program, Mr. Sheen definitely made for an eventful 2011.
That being said, there are still a few more days until the December 31st clock strikes midnight, so you never know who else may make the annual chisme list!

We know, a list calling itself "The Hottest Women Of All Time" is definitely considered subjective. But Men’s Health magazine seemed to be on the right track with their new highly-touted countdown. 100 ladies were featured in their "Hottest" breakdown, including quite a few sexy Latinas.
The first Tr3s fave to appear on the list comes in at #60. A Puerto Rican beauty who's just as famous for her behind as she is for her face, do you have any guesses as to who this might be? Yup, JLo made the cut and was particularly praised for her sexy looking outfits in the film, Out of Sight.
Closely following Jenny From the Block is the always lovely Jessica Alba. She ranked 54th, which seems like an injustice to us. With her flawless skin and firm body, Alba definitely deserves to be in the Top 10. We demand a recount!
Penelope Cruz also got some Men’s Health love, ranking #32 on the list. And just to further prove her "Hotness," the magazine posted an extra sexy pic of her for their online gallery. Following Pe came two blonde-haired Latinas, namely Gisele Bunchen (at #25) and Cameron Diaz (at #24).
Salma Hayek clearly wowed the Men’s readers, as she was ranked higher than both Kim Kardashian and Beyonce! Coming in at #22, she's the top mexicana on the list. And their editors made a very good point about Salma, emphasizing that she still looked "Hot" even in her frumpy Frida makeup.
Shakira comes up next at #18, proving that Gerard Piqué is a very lucky man. But the highest ranking Latina of them all? That would the #2 woman on the entire list. A bombshell from the swinging 60’s era, Men’s Health chose Raquel Welch as their ultimate Hispanic goddess. Not a bad call if you ask us. This half Bolivian beauty is still stunning at the ripe old age of 71!
And, for the record, Men’s Health’s "Hottest Woman of All Time" is…(drum roll please) Jennifer Aniston.

There is no denying that Jessica Alba is in incredible shape. Especially when you consider that she just gave birth back in August. How was she able to lose weight so quick? We're not 100% sure, but we do know one thing, it wasn't from the Belly Bandit! Alba has decided to sue the company for $1 million after they falsely claimed that she used their product to slim down.
The Belly Bandit is actually an elastic belt that new moms wear which "supposedly" helps shed baby weight. The product is no stranger to celebrity endorsements, both Minnie Driver and Modern Family’s Julie Bowen have left testimonials on their site.
But according to Jessica's lawyers, she most certainly DID NOT. The problem is, the site said she did and even used her name to help sell their products.
Now Alba is fighting back. Not only is she seeking that cool $1 mill, she also wants a piece of the company's profits. We think Jess has got a pretty solid argument on her hands and we're very curious to see how this case plays out.

Halloween may still be several weeks away, but we've got a Pelis and Popcorn movie that's guaranteed to get you excited about the ghoulish holiday. With it's decapitated heroes, psychotic serial killers, and stoner subplots, Idle Hands is the definition of a true "dark comedy." Not only that, it's got Jessica Alba in one of her earliest roles!
Released back in 1999, Idle Hands boasts a cast of true cult classic faves. There's Final Destination’s Devon Sawa as Anton, the man with the cursed manos. Then there's Family Guy’'s Seth Green as his munchie craving buddy Mick. And that's only the beginning. This movie's got cameos from original Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund and The Offspring!
But of course, the cast member most viewers wanted to get their Hands on was Alba. Just 18-years-old when this movie was released, she was a true star in the making. Sporting a cute short haircut and her trademark girl next door charm, it's no wonder this film led to her being cast in the TV smash Dark Angel.
But getting back to Idle, we'd have to say that this was truly an overlooked late 90's gem. Fresh off the Scream craze, it's clear the studio wanted to capitalize on the hip horror comedy. But here, they definitely went more with the funny which is actually a good thing.
The jokes are original, fun, and yes, mildly grotesque at times. But they never take themselves too seriously and lovingly skewer all those classic 80's zombie movies. Idle Hands has got voodoo priestesses, flying black cats, and glass bottles through the brain!
And of course there's one other element that's turned this movie into a cult phenom. Oh yea, there's a huff n' puff factor here that’ll put Cheech & Chong to shame! Hey, we don't judge. Just grab the Cheetos, Big Gulp, and whatever "medicine" you prefer and enjoy Idle Hands.

Often times it's hard to review a movie aimed solely at the little ones. From a grown-up perspective, the jokes can be corny and the plots may make little sense. But if you're under 10, doggie "butt bombs" and scratch-n-sniff aromas equal big laughs and a lot of fun. Spy Kids 4D has all the essentials to keep the pre-teens happy, but Mom and Dad may have a tough time signing up for the new "mission."
Quite a lot has changed since we last saw the Spy Kids. In fact, even the Kids themselves have been replaced. Though original stars Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara are back in more "mature" cameos, their cute little faces are sorely missed.
Writer/director Robert Rodriguez had told us that he fully intended to end the series with 2003's Game Over. But fan interest (and probably a big pile of money) changed his stance. Giving the franchise a fresh start, Robert cast newbies Rowan Blanchard and Mason Cook as the latest Kids. He also added Jessica Alba as sexy step mom Marissa and even a Spy Baby!
In this story, the Kids are twins and very competitive. Marissa initially has a tough time connecting with her mischievous step children. But when trouble erupts and it is revealed that Marissa is actually a spy, the family unites to save the world.
All of the elements that made the last Spy Kids movies fun are thrown back into the mix. There are cool gadgets, comic relief characters (this time a hilarious Spy Dog voiced by Ricky Gervais), and an over-the-top villain. And though everyone in the cast seems to be trying their hardest to make things work, something about the overall movie feels stale and uninspired.
Rodriguez mentioned how he likes to be innovative with each film in this series. The addition of a "4D" scratch-n-sniff card does seem fun, but never lives up to its potential. Similarly, the 3D effects don't click and quite a bit of the CGI seems overdone. Of course that's the grown up critic talking, we're sure if this review came up on "Blogamole Jr." you'd have an entirely different perspective.
Bottom line: Believe it or not, there is such a thing as a kids' movies that entertain adults (check out Cars 2 to see what we mean). Sadly, Spy Kids 4D isn't one of them. With its bland storyline and uninspired characters, it may very well be the weakest movie of this franchise. But with this being Robert’s official followup to the R-Rated Machete, you definitely have to admire his range.

What a difference a weekend makes! In the past two days, the celebrity baby blogs have been buzzing with activity. Not only did Jessica Alba make headlines with the birth of her new daughter, but reports came in about pregnancies for Daisy Fuentes and Hilary Duff.
Jessica made her big announcement on Facebook. For the past nine months, Alba and her hubby, Cash Warren, have been very secretive about their little one's gender and name. But on Sunday, Jess came clean about everything, announcing she had given birth to a girl and called her Haven Garner Warren.
It seems like the couple is sticking an "H" theme when it comes to labeling their kids. Their first daughter, Honor Marie, was born back in 2008 and, according to Alba's post, little sister is doing just fine.
"Hi Everyone, Hope you're enjoying the weekend. Cash and I are so excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Haven Garner Warren," she posted. "She was born on Saturday, weighed 7lbs, and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy!"
Another big baby post to arrive in the Twitterverse came from former Disney Channel star Hilary Duff. On the one-year anniversary of her marriage to hockey player Mike Comrie, she posted,
"I can't believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you're having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that ... BABY MAKES THREE! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives."
At 23-years-old, Hilary definitely qualifies as one of Hollywood's younger moms, but she seems thrilled with the news and made a point to thank all of her fans for their support.
On the other end of the spectrum, 44-year-old Daisy Fuentes will make a much older first-time madre. Though she hasn't confirmed it yet, the former MTV VJ is reportedly pregnant with Luis Miguel's baby. The two have been dating again after a famous split in the 1990's and may possibly be heading for the altar.
If the pregnancy news is indeed legit, this would make LuisMi's third "confirmed" child (he has a 21-year-old daughter, but he hasn't admit it publicly). We'll definitely keep you posted on this one as the details develop.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been eight long years since we last caught up with the Spy Kids. Though many thought the family-friendly franchise wrapped up with 2003’s Game Over, Robert Rodriguez has decided to resurrect it again with All The Time In The World. And at a recent press event, stars Jessica Alba and Alexa Vega spoke very enthusiastically about the upcoming sequel.
"It was surreal," Vega said about the experience. "I hadn’t been on a Spy Kids set since I was 14 years old. It was a great experience to be back."
Obviously at 22-years-old, Alexa is hardly a Kid anymore. But Rodriguez made sure there was room for her and big-screen brother Daryl Sabara in the latest installment. Now a grown-up operative at the Organization of Super Spies (OSS), Vega’s Carmen character enjoyed plenty of interaction with the franchise’s latest young stars.
"It’s a happy/sad moment passing that torch to new kids," she explained. "No matter how bad you want to go back to being a Spy Kid, you have officially graduated into being a woman spy."
Another famous woman spy in Kids 4 is Jessica Alba, who is introduced as agent Marissa Cortez. Alba’s character happens to be a new mom, which meant there were several scenes with the movie’s hilarious Spy Baby.
"It was awesome," Jessica said when shooting the infant scenes. "The twins we worked with were very sweet."
Alba was also quick to sing the praises of Spy Kids mastermind, Robert Rodriguez.
"As a friend we have a good relationship and as a director we have a good relationship," Jessica said. "I really respect him and I love working with him. He inspires me."
Speaking with Alexa, it was clear she felt the same way. She even mentioned how Robert walked her down the aisle of her recent wedding. So obviously, if the option of a Spy Kids 5 came up, both actresses seem more than willing to sign on.
"I would love to be a part of anything that Robert’s a part of," Vega enthusiastically said. "I would go back [for another Spy Kids] if Robert went back."
You can see Jessica, Alexa, and Robert’s handiwork when Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World hits theaters on August 19.

Anyone who's seen recent pix of Jessica Alba knows that her baby bump has almost reached its peak. With a due date right around the corner, the Spy Kids star is embracing mommyhood full-force, with nursery preparations and a new parenting blog.
"The nursery isn't ready. It's not even close, but I'm accumulating things," Alba told Us Weekly. “In the beginning the baby stays with me in the room, so you don't need the nursery ready so soon. We're remodeling our house, so it's going to take a few months. I'm really taking my time."
Jess also dropped some hints about her new mommy blog, which will supposedly chronicle life with an infant (and the infant's big sister). Though you'd think Alba’s 3-year-old daughter, Honor, would be a little jealous of the new arrival, it appears that isn't the case.
"She's as excited as a kid can be, even though she doesn't really know what it means just yet," Jessica said. "Honor's funny. She has her own personality."
We're sure if things get too hectic with all those kids running around, Mr. Alba (aka Jessica's husband Cash Warren) will be happy to lend a hand.
