Y cual casa será? The White House of course!

Remember when we told you about how President Obama was going all Latino and invited Aventura to sing at the White House on October 13th? Well, it seems that in honor of Hispanic Heritage month, he's adding a few more Latinos to the guest list!

Reggaetonero Tito el Bambino will also be performing for the presidential family along with the kings of bachata, Aventura. El cantautor de "El Amor" is just fresh off singing at the Miss Venezuela pageant too. Tito si que se está quemando de caliente!

Maybe he can teach Michelle some perréo, no? Buena suerte Tito! [People en Español]

President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama came out last Wednesday to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the CHCI 32nd Annual Awards Gala in Washington DC, an annual kickoff event that recognizes the achievements of Latinos en nuestro país.  Over 2,000 guests joined President Obama in celebrating Latino culture, including Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, John Leguizamo and Miss Puerto Rico to name a few.  El orgullo Latino was certainly soaring high!

President Obama's speech highlighted the success of some of today's most prominent Latinos (including Marc Anthony who won this year's CHCI Lifetime Achievement Award), and also touched upon his plan to help solve the school dropout crisis (sadly, Latinos have the highest dropout rate in the country), and pressing social issues like the economy, health care reform, and immigration. He gave a special shout out to Justice Sotomayor and said his proudest moment as President was when she became elected as the Supreme Court Justice of the United States!

Politics are no fun without some risas, so President Obama made sure to throw in a joke after New York Rep. Nydia Velazquez gushed about Marc Anthony.  El Presidente declared that Nydia must have a crush on Marc, and warned JLo to watch out porque apparently, she's not the only one who's got her eye on the legendary salsero.  Cuidado with your man, JLo!  Listen to Obama's chiste below!

The loveable and inimitable Cheli and Pinchez are BACK with a set of five Public Service Announcements to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month that are unlike any other PSAs you've ever seen… Créanos!

We love Cheli and Pinchez of 'Soy Mono' for their irreverent yet hilarious portrayal of Latinos in all our stereotypical glory! But, guess what? We're not the only ones with amor por los monos. Over the weekend, MTV Tr3s won a Gold prize at the 2009 Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards for last year's Soy Mono shorts, entitled 'Words.' You remember -- the ones where Pinchez calls former President Bush a pinche Julyer and gave a whole bunch of seemingly inoffensive palabras a whole new meaning? If you missed those, make sure to check them out here! Felicitaciones!

Este año, Cheli and Pinchez have a new tactic for bringing out nuestro orgullo Latino. With a set of PSAs meant to demonstrate some of the most recurring stereotypes de nuestra cultura, Cheli and Pinchez discuss everything from the notorious "Wetback Condition" to the pitfalls of Spanglish and nuestros hombres Latinos using adequate protection (porque you never know when you'll encounter some premature... oranges.)

Watch the PSAs by Soy Mono below, y recuerda: Hispanic Heritage Month is ALL YEAR LONG on MTV Tr3s!

While the tabloids feast on fake feuds and romance rumors, Selena Gomez continues to weave a new mold of a Disney star prodigy one movie, tune, and dance step at a time.

The 16-year-old has already made history as the first Latina to star in her own Disney channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place," but the actress isn't simply sitting back and letting stardom get to her head. Besides advocating for an environmental cause as the spokes-person for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the proud Texan is also educating teens about the importance of voting in the political campaign UR Votes Count. We recently got the chance to talk to la estrella exclusively about her Mexican heritage, her new movie "Another Cinderella Story" and yes...that burnin' Nick Jonas question! Check the entire entrevista below the jump!

Dominican pop princesa Kat DeLuna showed fans she has more skills to "Whine Up" to this week when she sang the national anthem in Dallas.

Kat graced the stage on Monday September 15th (coincidentally the start of Hispanic Heritage month) to help kick-off the Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles football game in Texas. Check out the clip of Kat Deluna singing and listen closely!

We think we hear some booing in the background. Is this just another case of restless football fanatics hating on our girl or did she really sound like a strangled cat? We'll let you be the judge! [YouTube]

It's that time of year again...

Es verdad, Latinos are all the rage on MTV Tr3s. However, from September 15- October 16, everyone is trying for a piece of la acción Latina. We decided to shake things up a bit this Hispanic Heritage month and spotlight Latinos that are changing the world, and the non-Latinos they've inspired.

You've seen Anglos trying to get a piece of the Latin sabor. Remember when Beyoncé was featured on the cover of People En Español, and when she sang "Beautiful Liar" with Shaki? What about Kim Kardashian? She may have the J. Lo booty down, and her hermano might be dating a Latina, but she's still a Wanna Be. And just because Aubrey O'day sports a Spanish language tattoo doesn't give her a pass either!

We all know someone who wants Latino cred. MTV Tr3s spotlights those wanna bes in pop culture today in the special "Top Tr3ce Wanna Be Latinos." Watch as real Latinos Carlos Mencia, Lin-Manuel Miranda, George Lopez, Ingrid Hoffman, Anjelah Johnson, Vida Guerra, and Adrienne Bailon (Cheetah Girls) help viewers score the “Latino-ness” of the wanna bes!

Catch "Top Tr3ce Wanna Be Latinos" when it airs tonight on MTV Tr3s @ 10pm.

Any other "wanna bes" we missed? Díganos!
