Judging from the reports we've heard today, "exhaustion" is the least of Demi Moore's problems. The 49-year-old actress was hospitalized earlier this week after inhaling some bizarre substances.
Moore's publicists quickly issued the "exhaustion" excuse, but after the 911 call was released, the story began to change. Now it seems that Demi was sent to the ER after smoking some form of incense, which reportedly caused her to convulse.
"She's been having some issues lately with some stuff, so I'm not sure what she's been taking," the 911 caller told the operator. "There's been some stuff recently that we're all just finding out."
Some rumors claim that Moore was getting high off nitrous oxide "whip-its," which have been known to cause major damage to the brain cells. Clearly Demi is going through a lot of emotional pain and we wish her a safe and speedy recovery.

Let the chisme speculations begin! Any time a celebrity seeks out professional help for "exhaustion," you know something's wrong. This time out it was Demi Moore, who remains hospitalized after a frantic 911 call.
As soon as the story broke, Demi's publicists issued a statement assuring her fans that the actress was not in any danger.
"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," her rep stated. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
Of course TMZ has already published a very different story. They are claiming that Moore's hospitalization was the result of substance abuse, quite possibly related to her recent split from Ashton Kutcher.
Whatever the reason, we're sure we haven't heard the last of this story. Clearly this was not a "minor setback" as Demi has already pulled out of her next film project, Lovelace.
Stay tuned for more details.

All we have to say after hearing this story is, OUCH! It seems regional star Alejandro Fernandez suffered a painful injury in Colorado over the weekend, after an unforeseen mishap on the ski slopes.
Though the details of the accident are still unclear, it appears Fernandez fractured his shinbone and had to undergo emergency surgery. "El Potrillo" did seem to have a good attitude about it all, assuring fans that he'll be making a full recovery.
"Thank you all for caring, I am fine, for medical reasons I will have to get some rest and I can't put any weight on my leg," he said. "Fortunately they already operated on me, now the most important thing is rehab, so I am staying in good spirits to be 100% again."
Alejandro is the son of Mexican folk god Vicente Fernandez and has been a huge concert draw for over 20 years. Let's hope he gets well (and back on the stage again) very soon!

It looks like Walter Mercado's recent health scare was a little more serious than we originally thought. Since checking himself into a Puerto Rico ER two weeks ago, the famed astrologer suffered a heart attack and had to be transferred to Ohio.
Thankfully Walter's heart issues are being described as "minor" and there are reports that he'll be back in Puerto Rico within the next few weeks. But this medical drama did prove one thing, Mercado is adored by the Latin media.
Ever since his hospitalization, sites have been throwing out daily blogs with Walter updates. The psychic community has banded around him too, with message boards and tweets overflowing with "Get Well Soon" comments.
We're definitely sending our love as well. Mercado will be turning 80 this March and we're very hopeful that he’ll be able enjoy the big birthday celebration in the comfort of his own home.

Astrology fans got quite a shock this morning with news that legendary psychic Walter Mercado had been rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, as of right now, he appears to be on the mend and making a full recovery.
It seems Walter (or Shanti Ananda as he now likes to be called) experienced some deep chest pains earlier in the week and wound up heading to the Puerto Rican E.R. Now approaching 80-years-old, "Shanti" has had his share of health scares in recent years.
Back in November 2010, Mercado checked into a hospital after feeling symptoms of pneumonia. Thankfully he recovered from that incident and we're very hopeful he'll pull out of this too.
As we all know, 2012 is proving to be a big year in the astrological realm. With that Mayan end-of-the-world prediction looming over our heads, Walter’s services are in need now more than ever.
Get well soon Shanti!

It must be nice to make hundreds of millions of dollars, especially when it comes to medical care. Instead of getting basic treatment on his bum knee, Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez flew all the way to Germany to test out an experimental therapy called "Orthokine."
Interestingly, it was Kobe Bryant who told A-Rod to head overseas. The Lakers star had used the therapy himself and clearly it's helped him excel in the NBA. But what is "Orthokine" exactly? A revolutionary plasma-rich platelet treatment.
According to New York Magazine, "Orthokine" involves taking blood from a patient's arm, then spinning it in a centrifuge. The shaken-up serum is then injected into the affected area, aka Rodriguez' injured knee.
It definitely sounds "different," but the real question is, will it work? It seems A-Rod did the procedure a few weeks back, so perhaps when the new season kicks off we can see if he's got bionic speed when he rounds those bases.

It seems the tabloids aren't able to scoop the public on every chisme story. In a surprising revelation, Jennifer Lopez told CNN that her daughter Emme was born with a lump on her head that was initially thought be cancerous.
Thankfully after multiple MRI tests, doctors were able to give Emme a clean bill of health, much to the relief of Lopez and papa Marc Anthony. Jennifer confessed that the medical scare proved to be an excruciating experience.
"I just remember that feeling of something is wrong with that baby and I'm gonna die," she explained. "I remember looking at [Marc] and saying, 'If Emme's not going to be OK, I'm not going to be OK. He's like, 'I'm not going to be OK—none of us are going to be OK.' "
The incident actually prompted Lopez and Anthony to launch a pediatric charity called The Maribel Foundation. They chose the name Maribel to honor Marc's sister, who died of brain cancer at the age of 8. You can find out more about its mission, by visiting the official site.

In case you were wondering, today marks a lot more than the start of a new month. Around the globe, December 1 has officially become known as World AIDS Day. And this year, plenty of famous faces are speaking out to support the cause.
President Barack Obama made an impassioned speech at George Washington University this morning, telling reporters that the fight to end HIV and AIDS is far from over. He implored nations like China to contribute to the cause by donating funds to save the millions who are infected.
"Today, we come together, as a global community, across continents, faiths and cultures, to renew our commitment to ending the AIDS pandemic – once and for all," he said. "This fight isn’t over. Not for the 1.2 million Americans who are living with HIV right now. Not for the Americans who are infected every day."
In the Twitterverse, several celebrities helped spread the word too. Using the popular #WorldAIDSDay hashtag, stars like Martha Stewart and The Jonas Brothers encouraged their fans to donate.
"Want to fight for an AIDS Free Generation by 2015? Today’s the day: #WorldAIDSDay," Zach Galifianakis wrote.
Coldplay posted,
"Today’s #WorldAIDSDay. Fight for #endofAIDS."
On the Huffington Post, blogger Destiny Lopez specifically called out to the Hispanic community for support. In her article, she explained that Latinos account for one in five new HIV infections. She also published alarming stats, saying that 1 in 36 Hispanic men will contract HIV in their lifetime.
Alejandro Sanz and Paula Fernandez are doing their part to get the word out in Latin America. Their charity, “Positive Generation,” raises awareness about the disease and helps infected children in South Africa.
You can contribute too, by visiting the official World AIDS Day site and donating to help put an end to this deadly disease.

We have to admit, our minds have been on Robbi 'Draco' Rosa quite a bit recently. The Latin music maestro is still in the midst of battling a deadly form of cancer and, by the looks of his latest Twitpic, things may not be going well.
Rosa appears to be shockingly thin in the photo he Tweeted this week, but thankfully his spirit is still strong. Posting in English, he quoted author Isaac Watts and offered inspirational words to all of his well-wishing fans.
"The hill of Zion yeilds a thousand sacred sweets before we reach the heavenly fields or walk the golden streets," he wrote.
Draco has been keeping a very low profile since his publicized interview three months ago. Clearly in a much weaker state now, Rosa's withdrawn face and shaved head reflect the ravages of chemotherapy. Hopefully the treatments are working and he'll have positive news to share in the coming year.
Our prayers are with you Draco!

There is no denying that Brazilian Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima is in incredible shape. But the way she achieves her perfect figure has drawn some criticism. Adriana had recently been quoted as saying that she sticks to a liquid diet to stay thin. But when speaking to E! this week, she was quick to clarify that statement.
"Everybody is talking about my crazy diet," she said. "I know it's very intense but...I just have an athlete's mind and I appreciate doing this thing. It's not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it for this particular thing. After this show, I become normal again!"
Obviously that description makes more sense. The idea that you could live off liquids full time seems a little drastic. Lima went on to emphasize that she only goes to "liquids only" nine days before a modeling show.
Of course to some dietitians, that may seem unhealthy too. But Adriana assured her fans that once she's done on the catwalk, her tradition has been to eat a hearty meal at New York's posh Milos restaurant.
