After being charged with domestic violence against his pop star then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009, Chris Brown’s meteoric rise to fame came to a standstill as fans (his and those of the pop singer) tried to come to terms with his actions. They made a gorgeous pair, to be sure, but their troubled romance ended in violence, late one night in Hollywood. Some sources claim that this wasn’t the first such incident, and cite reports of previous altercations in Europe and Barbados, Rihanna’s country of origin.
The beleaguered rapper was ordered to complete a reported 1400 hours of service as well as domestic violence counseling. At the time, Brown stated that he was sorry for his actions, and hoped that he and Rihanna could remain friends. Now, finished with his community service and counseling, though still on parole, Brown is on the publicity trail promoting his new album and single, 3x. Not surprisingly, reporters are taking the opportunity to ask probing questions about the 2009 incident and his subsequent relations with the singer. Earlier this week on Good Morning America, anchor Robin Roberts got into the act, quizzing Brown during an interview.
But it seems that although the morning show had prepped Brown’s people in advance that these questions would be posed to the rapper, he wasn’t having it.
"Anytime we have a guest here on the program, we let them know ahead of time the subject matter, the topics that we're going to discuss and we, even right before the interview, I said that to Chris and I was shocked like everybody else was."
Roberts got a big surprise after the segment, when the enraged hip-hop star stormed from his dressing room after throwing a chair out a window, which crashed down on the busy streets of Times Square, NYC.
Brown’s Twitter feed is silent on the matter, after an alleged tweet was quickly pulled down.
“I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t.”
So Brown is on the apology circuit again, and the inevitable doubts about his ability to manage anger are once more in question. Brown appeared on BET’s show "106 & Park" to discuss the incident, making a statement about how disappointed he is by his own behavior and claiming that Roberts had gone off the script:
"I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really looked disappointed at my actions because I was really disappointed in my actions. A lot of people don't know what went down. When I do shows or I do interviews we always send out a talking points sheet and if the network or whomever doing the interviewing isn't complying with what we want to do so we can equally accomplish a goal we usually back out until it's a better situation."
It’s a little worrisome that Brown isn’t taking full responsibility for his actions. His publicist seems to think so, as this morning brought the news that Brown and rep Tammy Brook have parted ways.
Still, a lot of people are rooting for Chris Brown, and even Robin Robert is keen to have him back on the show:
"We wish [Brown] the absolute best and... we've extended the invitation to him and I sure hope that he takes us up on it, because we'd love to have another chat with him."
Roberts may get her wish. E! Online reported today that ABC is scheming to get Rihanna and Brown together again.

Unfortunately those recent domestic violence courses have not squashed Chris Brown's notorious temper. On Tuesday, the R & B singer was rumored to be behind a major outburst on the set of Good Morning America. TMZ is reporting that after a sensitive interview, Brown smashed a window in GMA’s New York offices and stormed off without a shirt!
The Q & A between Chris and GMA host Robin Roberts seemed to be going well, until the "Rihanna incident” came up. Obviously Brown’s felony assault charge is still a very sensitive subject, but interestingly Roberts claimed she cleared the questions with Chris before the interview.
Nevertheless, Brown supposedly “freaked out” after the cameras stopped rolling, screaming down the hallways and hurling a chair against an office window. He went on to post his feelings to fans in the twitterverse.
"I'm so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t."
Chris later deleted the tweet, but it looks like the damage has already been done. ABC reportedly called the NYPD after the incident and may take legal action against Brown. Already on felony probation, a charge of vandalism (and possibly assault for those who were hit with broken window shards) would not look good the next time he appears in court.
In attempt to cool down the matter, Chris sent out a later tweet specifically for his fans.
"All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I'm so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!

Rihanna's second single from her upcoming album Rated R, "Wait Your Turn," leaked online over the weekend. The track continues the dark vibe of the album's first single "Russian Roulette," which was met with mixed reviews two weeks ago. The hook on the song,"The wait is ova, the wait is ova," is a phrase that was used last month as a teaser announcing the album's November 23 release date.
The wait it seems is also over on RiRi's silence surrounding the February assault by former boyfriend, Chris Brown. Since the incident, Rihanna has made no statements, however the R&B star will appear on Thursday's Good Morning American for her first interview since the altercation, and on 20/20 the following night, and the world will finally hear her side of the story. America woke up to pop-punk style this AM when Demi Lovato hit the Good Morning America stage in NYC, performing the title single from her upcoming album "Here We Go Again" live. Peep the performance right here.
The Disney dame appeared in an ensemble fit for a Tim Burton muse at the morning show: lace ballet skirt, strappy heels, blazer, b&w top and funky tulle hair ornament. Topping off the look with rockin' ruby lips, the Texas-born Latina was a delicious pop-art confection to get the morning started.
Slept in too late to catch Demi this morning? No te preocupes, she's a night owl too. The lovely Lovato will be squeezing in her third live appearance of the day (she made a cameo on The View after GMA) on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
