All we can say after hearing this story is OUCH! Songstress Gloria Trevi took a nasty spill at a Mexican airport on Thursday night, smashing her face and breaking several teeth!

Apparently Gloria fell a distance of six feet after disembarking from a private plane. Paramedics rushed her to a local hospital where she underwent emergency surgery. It is said that surgeons had to reconstruct parts of her lips and jaw.

As of right now, it appears as though the operation was a success. And Trevi, with her trademark humor intact, even joked about the incident on Twitter.

"Sé que dicen que sufrí un accidente y que me caí del avión. MENTIRA, así bailo y así me bajo yo. Me estoy rompiendo en pedazos pero ya saben que soy TREVINEITOR” she wrote.

Gloria also urged her fans not to worry and thanked everyone for their Get Well tweets.

It's been quite a busy week for Gloria Trevi. In the past few days, the Mexican songstress announced her upcoming tour, threw a tantrum on El Gordo y La Flaca, and answered questions about her long-rumored reality show.

In regards to the TV series, it looks like "Gloria Unscripted" is a no-go. Unlike her Spanish-speaking contemporaries, Trevi has decided not to pursue any reality projects (for now). When asked about letting cameras into her personal life, the pop diva said,

"Es complicado porque protejo mucho la intimidad de mi familia."

Unfortunately Gloria couldn't protect herself from TV jeers this week. For reasons that are still unclear, she abruptly walked away from a live interview on El Gordo y La Flaca. Claiming to have some mysterious beef with Raúl De Molina (aka El Gordo), she apparently went on to say,

"Sé que Raúl no me va a entrevistar bien!"

If you ask us, that kind of behavior is actually perfect for a reality show. And even though Trevi nixed that idea, you can still get the chance to see her live this fall. At a press conference, Gloria announced that she will be touring the U.S. and Mexico beginning in October (which we're sure will lead to plenty of more unpredictable antics).

It’s clear that Miami’s Bank United Center was the place to be on Thursday night. The 11th annual Billboard Latin Music Awards not only brought out plenty of famous faces, it delivered an evening of incredible live performances. From Luis Fonsi’s tweet parade, to Gloria Trevi’s motorcycle-themed dance number, it easily gave this year’s ceremony a run for its money.

Enrique Iglesias gets the credit as the big winner of the night. Taking home nine awards (including Artist of the Year), he made sure to thank the collaborators that helped him create his smash Euphoria album. Juan Luis Guerra, Pitbull, and Wisin y Yandel (who joined Enrique onstage for “No Me Digas”) all got their shout outs in his acceptance speeches.

Expressing his love for the Latin culture at the podium, Enrique said,

"My life has been filled with good moments and bad moments but there is one thing that has been constant and that's been the public. We have to keep having babies so there can be more and more of us and, hopefully, one day, there will be there will be more Latins than anything. We are already almost there."

Other big winners of the night included Aventura (who took the stage minus Romeo) and Camila. Proving they were still very much intact, Mario Domm and company wowed the crowd with a performance that included a giant white angel.

Tr3s fave Prince Royce walked away with four awards during the night, while Shakira kept her arms full with six Billboard statuettes. Gloria Estefan got a huge response from the crowd when she walked onstage to accept her Billboard Spirit of Hope Award, which honored her philanthropic work.

And as far as the performances went, Don Omar’s live interpretation of “Danza Kuduro” (which is currently being featured in Fast Five) got a huge response, as did Marc Anthony’s showstopping ballad.

But nothing can quite top the night’s grand finale, which united Pitbull, T-Pain, and Jencarlos Canela for triple set of uptempo songs. Perhaps El Don summed up the evening best with his enthusiastic tweet from the afterparty.

“Una noche HISTORICA! Gracias a todos!”

Singer Gloria Trevi is the first to admit that she’s had her share of controversy. Back in the early 90s, she was one of Mexico’s most popular entertainers. Then came the sex scandal, the jail time, and what many thought was the end of her career. But despite it all, Trevi has survived and now seems to be flourishing with a #1 album on Billboard’s Latin Music Charts.

"In the beginning I was the crazy chick, the one with the long hair who stuck her tongue out at a society of hypocrites," Trevi recently told Billboard. "Then they broke my heart, and while I was still that girl who could criticize, I was also in pain, like the protester who's tortured in prison. And today I've become 'Me Rio de Ti.' Because I'm that girl, and I speak with the authority of someone who knows what she's saying, and who deserves to have more fun."

And, by the looks of things, Trevi’s new record Gloria! is all about fun. Featuring pop hooks, dance-happy synthesizers, and plenty of empowering lyrics, it’s definitely struck a chord with the Spanish-speaking audience. Universal Music is so proud of the album they’re even releasing a deluxe boxed set version.

But Gloria still has her share of critics. This past week, Mexican actor Rodrigo Vidal spoke out against Gloria, particularly her work with the children’s show Pequeños Gigantes.

“La moral solo es una moda,” he recently tweeted.

Truth be told, Gloria’s four-year prison stint back in the early 2000’s soured quite a bit of her fan base. Jailed for allegedly abusing backup singer Karina Yapor -and later acquitted-, many thought Trevi’s rep would never recover. But since her release, Gloria has never stopped making music, which is something she is very proud of today.

"Throughout my career I've always been like an open book, and very coherent in my [musical] evolution. I've always thought I'll keep on doing this as long as I'm young and have the strength."

Que lastima! Less than a year after Oprah revealed that she was saying goodbye to television, her Cuban counterpart Cristina Saralegui has announced that she’s doing the same thing. Yup, after over 20 years on the air, her groundbreaking Spanish talk show, “Cristina” is going off the air.

Since its major debut in 1989, "Cristina” has been a staple of Spanish television. Her professional demeanor and friendly attitude has attracted some of the biggest names in Latino entertainment. Stars like Shakira, Ricky Martin, and Gloria Estefan have all taken a seat on the legendary stage.

Of course, unlike Oprah, Ms. Saralegui wasn’t afraid to shy away from the outrageous. Throughout the years, she’s been known for her silly costumes (you’ve got to love that barrel outfit), beauty contests, and half-naked cowboys prancing on the set.

And as far as heavy-hitting goes, her dramatic interviews with former Menudo members and controversial star Gloria Trevi scored huge ratings. And by all accounts, “Cristina” is still riding high. Which makes us wonder, why the premature exit?

According to Saralegui, “It is bittersweet to announce the end of what has been a very rewarding experience, but after many wonderful years, now is the perfect time to retire the show and move on to the next exciting phase of my career.”

What exactly will that be? According to sources, she’s still under contract to Univision, which means we can expect plenty of Cristina specials in the near future. But as far as “Cristina” the show goes, the final episode is set to air November 1st and you can bet Team Blogamole will be watching (with plenty of tissues in hand).

Mexican pop diva Gloria Trevi exchanged vows with lawyer Armando Gomez Thursday in her northern Mexican hometown of Monterrey.

The cathedral was decorated with blue-and-white flowers and filled with other Mexican stars including: Anahi, Amanda Miguel, Carmen Salinas, Maribel Guardia, Paty Manterola, Ana Barbara, and Charytin Goyco. The happy, tearful bride wore a white silk gown and a veil held in place by a crown. And the reception was held at a nearby art museum.
