Don’t worry, none of the celebs we’re about to mention love the Devil, rather they were bringing out the love for the new movie “Devil”, which had its big premiere Wednesday night (September 15). Producer M. Night Shyamalan, Jacob Vargas, and "Machete" himself, Danny Trejo, were all in attendance.

Just in time for the Halloween season, “Devil” focuses on five strangers trapped in a high-rise elevator. And with story credit going to Shyamalan, you know it’s going to get a lot creepier than that! In fact, one of them happens to be the Devil himself, but it’ll take a lot of twists and turns to find out who.

To celebrate the film’s release, stars gathered at the rooftop of L.A.’s swanky London Hotel for a premiere screening under the stars. And even though it required an elevator ride to get there, we can happily report that no one had issues with any demons on the trip up.

Danny Trejo seemed very excited about the night and was still beaming on the success of “Machete” (which happened to be in the Top 5 this week). No he wasn’t sporting any long blades on the red carpet, but did make a few jokes about it.

Jacob Vargas, who plays Security Guard Ramirez, said he was very proud of what directors John and Drew Dowdle put together and told us he “felt honored to work with Night.” Speaking of M. Night, he spoke with Team Blogamole too, explaining his thoughts on “Devil.”

“I loved it! I’m so proud of it. It’s definitely scary, but it’s also a lot fun. It’s meant to be fun! I can’t wait to watch everybody scream and laugh at this.”

We can’t wait either. And, as with all Shyamalan projects, we’re sure we’ll be guessing about El Diablo’s identity until the very last frame.

“Devil” hits theatres this Friday (September 17).

Are you excited about “Devil”? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3!

2010 officially belongs to Latina rappers, according to the Los Angeles Times. As Latin music continues to overlap mainstream markets, three noteworthy albums have a female MC at the helm, and Team Blogamole is happy to report we've been cheering these ladies on for some time.

Are you ready to be inspired? Sit back, relax, and enjoy some exclusive clips and highlights from our latest interactions with three talents on the rise.

Anita Tijoux

Meet our upcoming (August 30!) Descubre & Download Artist and LAMC favorite, Ana Tijoux! Tr3s took notice after her collabo con Julieta Venegas on "Eres Para Mi" - but we've been all about her sound since her days as a member of Chilean hip-hop group Mazika.

Li Saumet

We fell in love with Bomba Estéreo's Liliana Saumet at 2009's SXSW, and newcomer Goyo Martinez of Chocquibtown is definitely worth following. All thee musical powerhouses are signed to Nacional Records, an L.A. based Latin alternative label.

Tijoux - who recently won the most most coveted spot on the iTunes charts for "1977" - has also received props from Radiohead's Thom Yorke and describes her style as complex and contradictory:

"There isn't a logic or theory to what I do. I taught myself how to rap and eventually reached a fortuitous moment when I discovered my own style, or signature."

When Tr3s caught up with Ana at 2010's LAMC, she shared what she envisions for the future:

“I would like to make an album with African musicians. I would like to write a book, make documentaries, and do other stuff that interests me. Hip hop is an amazing music [style], but I think we’ve got to be more free in our creations.”

As fas as her next album, Tijoux has already kicked off her writing process.

We have more love for these three amazing artists, after the jump!

Colombian electro-cumbia stars Simón y Liliana (Li) del grupo Bomba Estéreo are currently on tour, promoting their latest smash hit album, Blow Up. In a few weeks, they’ll be headed back to Europe, but for now, they’re still rocking out venues across the U.S. para sus fans latinoamericanos.

This past Friday (July 23rd) — before they brought down the house at the Brooklyn Bandshell — we sat down with Simón y Li fto find out what they’re up to, what and who keeps them motivated, and what they hope for their future.

Bomba Estereo

It was interesting to hear Bomba Estéreo’s perspective on the welcoming response of the American audiences where they’ve performed, especially at SXSW where language did not seem to be a barrier at all. They have a new video out for their track “Agua Salá,” so they anticipate that will be their next single release.

The band is also currently filming a music video for their remake of Technotronic’s “Pump Up the Jam,” which was recorded for Levi’s Pioneer Sessions campaign. Simón says they plan on adding this track to a remix album that may be released by end of year, and they’ll also incorporate it into their live performances.

Li talked about how important it is for her to include lyrics of social conscience into the music of Bomba Estéreo. According to the artist, they don’t always like to get very political, but they do want to share when they feel strongly about certain things, like injustice in government or young girls getting cosmetic surgery.

Simón and Li let us know about the many Colombian artists who have inspired them, including salsa legends like Joe Arroyo y Los Diablitos. They’ve both been listening to The Whitest Boys Alive and Li is actually a big fan of Mala Rodriguez and M.I.A., both of whom she has often been compared to in the American press. And how does she feel about that? Well, she explains that she’s not a rapper and doesn’t pretend to be, but it’s good to at least be compared to people she admires.

When we asked about winning MTV Iggy’s fan-defined contest for “Best New Band in the World,” they humbly replied that it’s “too much” but that’s what they’re working on. Simón thinks it’s cool that it was decided by fans, and Li thinks Latinos may be addicted to the internet. They didn’t have much to reveal about their secret MTV Iggy performance this Thursday (July 29), except that they may not be wearing much clothing…

We have more from our candid discussion with Bomba Estéreo after the jump. Some of their responses were expected, others surprising, pero todo en Español.

Pueden leer toda la entrevista down below. Enjoy!

(We've got more exclusive images from the shoot in our
"Bajo Otra Luz" photo gallery!)

According to the video shoot team, "Bajo Otra Luz" was filmed in an alleyway in a part of Toronto called "little Italy." They filmed 20 costumes and had only enough time for 1 take per costume.

Nelly Furtado

Going to the costume house was an adventure! The employees were giving tips and ideas about each look. Nelly actually dressed up in all the costumes, even the ones where you can't see her face. They told her someone else could dress in the costumes, but she said she would know the truth.... Now that’s a true artist!

Don't miss the exclusive MTV Tr3s premiere of "Bajo Otra Luz" on July 1, only on MTV Tr3s!

Team Blogamole recently down with director George A. Romero. He gave us some perspective on his new film, "Survival of the Dead", upcoming projects, his dream gig and more! We'll be rolling out clips for the next two weeks – stay tuned or we'll eat your brains!

True George A. Romero fans already know about the director's Latino roots. Born to a Cuban father and Lithuanian mother, Romero's films are inspired by Afro-Caribbean spiritual beliefs.

Ever the honest guy, Romero has spoken candidly about his own father's prejudices against Latinos.

In a 2009 interview with Lee Karr, Romero gave some insight into his conflicted upbringing:

"I'm half Latino, I'm a New York baby right. So my Dad is Cuban, my Mom is Lithuanian. My Dad say's 'I'm not Cuban!' - but you were born in Cuba? 'I am Castilian, from Spain! Family went to Cuba to open a hotel!' Okay, well let's say you're a Cuban, you're a Spanish guy? 'Yes, but I am not a Puerto Rican!'

I grew up in New York with a Spanish Dad right in the days of West Side Story, where you know the Puerto Rican gangs and shit? My Dad is telling me Puerto Ricans are shit. I have a Latino Dad who's telling me that Puerto Ricans are shit.(laughs) I mean this is a very confusing situation...anyway."

When we asked the legendary horror master to discuss the Latino characters in his latest film, he opened up — in the most cinematic of ways.

We've got George A. Romero's response and the hot "Survival of Dead" trailer, after the jump!

Wisin y Yandel won the top dos lenguas at last week's Los Premios MTV 2009, for "Artista del Año" y "Video del Año."  As we reported last week, el Dúo Dinámico dedicated their "Artist of the Year" Premio to 50 Cent, who they credit with making este año tan especial para ellos.  MTV News and MTV Tr3s caught up with the trio on the red carpet before the show, where we got 50's two cents on working con los reggaetoneros.  Watch what the rapper had to say below.

Como pueden ver, 50 Cent regards working in the Latin market as an opportunity.  In fact, el rapero is so confident in his work with Wisin y Yandel, that he believes they will win the Latin Grammy they are nominated for este año.

"This is exciting — when they win, I'm gonna finally win my trophy!"

Wisin también está de acuerdo.

"That nomination confirms what I've said all along, which is that these collaborations are necessary.  50 Cent was never nominated for a Latin Grammy. Then he works with Wisin y Yandel, and he scores a nomination. And there's a good chance that he'll win, because that song is an international hit."

T-Pain, who is also collaborating with Wisin y Yandel on "Imaginate" for their upcoming remix album, 'La Evolución,' también piensa que este es el mejor momento para colaboraciones entre artistas Latinos y anglos.

"[Our collaboration is] going to put them in my world and help put me in their world."

Este verdaderamente es el momento para 'La Evolución' de la musica latina.  With so many collaborations between Latin and English-speaking artists, you know there's a new wave of Latin pride that's sure to follow!  Que viva el orgullo Latino!!  [MTV News]

Haven't been able to catch Los Premios or just reeeeally want to watch it again (no te preocupes, we're sure you're not alone!)?  Tune-in to MTV Tr3s esta noche a las 7pm EST to see Los Premios MTV 2009 otra vez!
