So what's Eva Longoria up to now that Desperate Housewives has wrapped? Hanging out with her adorable kitty and helping sell cans of Sheba! Yup, the Wisteria Lane alum has just released a brand new cat food commercial.
Entitled "Follow Your Passion," the 30-second spot definitely shows off Eva's fun side. You'll be able to see her let loose, dance through her house and (of course) spend some quality time with a furry feline friend.
"The commercial has a great storyline," she said in a behind-the-scenes featurette. "It's about a woman who comes home and she's tired, but then starts to unwind. And all the while, the cat is watching her every move."
Interestingly, it seems like a lot of well-known Latinas are trying their hand at commercials. Salma Hayek famously lent her name to Burger King and JLo got behind the wheel of Fiat. And we imagine they're all making a pretty penny doing it!

The ABC hit series Desperate Housewives has finally come to an end, and not without an appropriate dose of drama to close the show.
The two-hour series finale gave fans lots of exciting moments, including an arrest, a death, a wedding and a birth. It even featured a cameo from the series' creator, Marc Cherry, as a mover.
The finale's first hour focused on Bree's murder trial, which showed Marcia Cross' character being led away to the death chamber in the proverbial orange prison jumpsuit. I cried. Not. Many were glad to see the evil witch get her day in court, so to speak, and were pleased with the verdict.
The second hour of the finale featured a wedding, a birth, and a death, which wasn't at all surprising for those who have been following the show. Some might even call it a tad anti-climactic, but necessary to wrap up the drawn out storyline we've had to suffer through all season.
The Desperate Housewives finale was full of over-the-top theatrics, like Bree making out with her lawyer, played by Scott Bacula, causing her to confess the truth about the murder in a moment of passion. It also featured snippy little comments, like Gaby, Eva Longoria's character, saying, "It's my turn to take care of Mrs. McCluskey, so of course I've been drinking." I guess you had to be there.
The series finale was not without some inside jokes, like Carlos, played by Ricardo Chavira, hiring a new female gardener. This goes back to reference the first season, when Gaby took advantage of a sexy lawn boy to have a fling with while Carlos was in jail. Guess it's Carlos' turn to fool around now.
Will you miss the women from Wisteria Lane?

E! co-host Giuliana Rancic and husband Bill Rancic are having a baby. The couple is expecting their first child, due late summer via a gestational surrogate. Although Giuliana and Bill will not actually be birthing the little nugget, the child will be their genetic baby.
Giuliana commented,
"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered. We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey."
Anyone who has been following Giuliana and Bill's reality shows on television know how hard the couple has worked to try and conceive a child. They have been through fertility treatments, a miscarriage, even a breast cancer diagnosis, only to be left with uncertainty and despair.
Giuliana added,
"We received an incredible amount of love and prayers from viewers around the world and we want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for their love."
So far, Giuliana has undergone a successful double mastectomy, and hasn't had to succumb to any chemotherapy lately to treat her cancer, but she takes it one step at a time. She said,
"You do what the doctors tell you to do and it's going to be OK."
The couple will be renewing their marital vows this summer, in the wake of all that's been going on between the two. Bill announced they were planning to "really take life on and look at it in a new light."
Giuliana and Bill not only have their reality show going strong on their fifth season, Giuliana & Bill, but Giuliana is also starring on E! News and Fashion Police as well. They are also planning on hosting Eva Longoria's dating reality show called Ready For Love, scheduled later this year to debut on NBC.
Additionally, Bill apparently told the E! network earlier this year,
"2012 is going to be our year!"
There is no more word on what Giuliana and Bill have in store for the baby or if any names are in the works.
What do you think Giuliana and Bill should name their baby?

Previously we mentioned how Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry was working on a Latina-centric pilot called Devious Minds. Well in the past few weeks, there have been a lot of new developments. On the plus side, Eva Longoria signed on to co-produce the project. But there is also plenty of backlash about Maids’ stereotypical nature.
Several bloggers in the Hispanic community have criticized Maids for portraying Latinas as servants and housekeepers. They feel the concept is not very empowering and could lead to negative stereotypes.
Eva disagrees and believes the show is helping the Latino community by bringing a strong, diverse cast to primetime.
"I think most of the Latino community is proud that there's a show employing four dynamic Latinas," she recently said. "Whatever occupations we have occupied as Latinos be it maids, gardeners, valets; it's a reality. So why not tell their stories from their point-of-view?"
Longoria has certainly proven herself to be a champion for Latino rights. So we're sure as a co-producer, she'll make sure Devious Maids represents la cultura well.

It seems Eva Longoria just can't get enough of Eduardo Cruz. Several weeks after ending their relationship, the off-again/on-again couple was spotted at a swanky Hollywood restaurant. Does this mean that they're an item again? It sure looks that way to us.
But sources close to Eva were quick to do shoot reconciliation rumors. They claim that she and Eduardo ended things amicably and were just going to dinner as "friends."
"[The breakup] was mutual decision," an anonymous tipster told People magazine. "There's still feelings of affection there, but I don't think they're getting back together."
We're still holding out hope that Longoria and Cruz will rekindle their romance. They made a very cute couple and seemed to have a lot of fun together during their year-long relationship. Maybe the in-laws can intervene and convince them to give it one more try.

Yes we’re all a little bummed that Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz are no longer an item. But our favorite Desperate Housewife still has some great besties to lean on. And they all went out for a night on the town to celebrate Eva’s b-day!
Longoria turned 37 on Thursday and brought Kate Beckinsale and Victoria Beckham along for her "Girl’s Night Out." The ladies hit up West Hollywood and dined at the exclusive Italian restaurant Cecconi's.
TMZ happened to snap the BFFs getting driven around L.A. and they seemed to be having a great time. And this isn’t the first time the three amigas have made a public appearance. Kate, Eva, and Victoria were all together for Longoria's foundation launch last month.
And it looks like 37 will be a very good year for Eva. She’s got tons of TV and movie projects in the works and we doubt it will be very long before a new guy sweeps her off her feet.

It looks like it's splitsville for Eva Longoria and Spanish boyfriend Eduardo Cruz, Us Weekly exclusively reports.
The couple, who had been together for a little more than a year, have decided to put an end to their relationship in a "mutual decision," according to a close source. "They are staying friends."
In order to keep her distracted, "she's focusing on work and the end of Desperate Housewives" added the source. Still, it appears she will be spending her 37th birthday, this March 15, single.
In the past days, we had seen Longoria and Cruz apart: she tweeted pictures of her and her family in Disneyland, while Eduardo had gone back to Spain. This may have started the rumor of their breakup.
Longoria and Cruz were introduced at a party by his famous sister, Penélope, and started dating back in March of last year, after her painful 2010 divorce from Tony Parker.
Ever since, she seemed reluctant to talk openly about her love life.
"The only thing I will say is I was very lucky to find Edu," she told Spanish Vanity Fair in November 2011.

So what will Eva Longoria be up to after Desperate Housewives ends? How about changing the world! Oh yes, Eva's got some ambitious plans for the years ahead, starting with the launch of her very own Foundation.
The 36-year-old star threw a posh kickoff last week for The Eva Longoria Foundation, which included appearances from Victoria Beckham, Kate Beckinsale, and Mario Lopez. Looking dazzling in a revealing black dress, Longoria made sure her guests were well aware of her new mission in life.
"Our mission is to help Latinas build better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship,” she said when describing her Foundation. “We will support programs which help Latinas become college ready and college graduates. And we will provide Latinas with career training, mentorship, capital and opportunity."
It sounds like a very exciting concept to us and hopefully Eva will have some powerful friends to help back it up. Last week, Barack Obama tapped her to be a co-chair of his 2012 presidential campaign.

We're sure when Eva Longoria married Tony Parker, she believed it would last forever. In fact, she was so confident about the relationship that she got Tony's San Antonio Spurs number inked on the back of her neck. But now he's out of her life and, according to TMZ, so is that famous tattoo.
Longoria visited L.A.'s famous ink eraser, Dr. Tattoff, recently and is undergoing the painful procedure of eliminating her ex's memory. Though not clearly noticeable, Parker's number "NINE" can be seen when Eva chooses to wear her hair up.
She had previously tried lasering off the body art, but that didn't seem to do the trick. Dr. Tattoff is considered to be one of the best ink removal businesses around, so we're thinking this visit will wipe out Tony once and for all.
Of course if it doesn't work, we can think of at least one other solution. Covering up the "NINE" with a giant inked portrait of Eduardo Cruz!

It's hard to believe that in a few short months we'll be saying goodbye to Desperate Housewives forever. And at a recent ABC press event, it was clear that Eva Longoria and company were sad to see the show go. But before the final curtain call, series creator Marc Cherry promised some fun surprises.
Cherry confirmed that "old familiar characters" will be reappearing on Wisteria Lane. He also said that he will make his own onscreen appearance, but you’ll have to look hard to find him.
"I'm gonna do a Hitchcock," he said, referring to director Alfred Hitchcock's famous movie cameos. "The hair and makeup people will go through more hell that day than they ever have."
Marc also ruled out any speculations about a Desperate Housewives movie, even taking a jab at the critically panned Sex and the City sequel. But all of us Eva fans won’t have to wait too long to see her on the big screen. She’ll be popping up in The Truth due out later this year.
