This weekend, music fans were treated to another memorable awards show with the 2011 AMAs. Outside of some lively performances from Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, and Enrique Iglesias, the event featured big wins for Taylor Swift and a JLo outfit that got the gossip blogs buzzing.
Swift probably received the most attention of the night, taking home Artist of the Year, Country Female Artist, and Country Album. Fresh off her CMA sweep, Taylor seemed to be quite overwhelmed by her monster victory.
"I want to thank my band and my crew and the fans for filling up stadiums," said an emotional Swift from the stage. "And my mom and my dad and my brother who came with me tonight, and my fans who continue to amaze me."
Adele didn't do too bad either, earning the night’' Adult Contemporary Artist award as well as Pop/Rock Female Artist. Nicki Minaj (who delivered an incredible live rendition of "Turn Me On" with David Guetta) scored two AMAs herself, for Rap/Hip-Hop Album and Rap/Hip-Hop Artist.
And the AMAs made sure to honor a few Latinos too. Bruno Mars won for Pop/Rock Male Artist and JLo got the Latin Music Artist trophy. Lopez, in particular, attracted a ton of coverage for her revealing bodysuit. At 42-years-old, she flaunted a near perfect body during her performance of "Papi."
Jennifer did get a little bit of heat from the critics though, for bringing out a Fiat car during her live set. Many felt that the move was a blatant form of advertising (Lopez is currently a Fiat spokesperson) and thought it cheapened her performance.
And though they didn't take home awards, Tr3s faves Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull and Christina Aguilera made their presence known too. Enrique was backed up by a full-blown marching band for a lively rendition of "I Like How It Feels." Pit joined JLo for her second song of the night, "On The Floor," and Xtina and Adam Levine rocked the house with their hit duet "Moves Like Jagger."
Other highlights included tributes to Heavy D, a Justin Bieber/David Hasselhoff appearance, and will.i.am debuting his new track, "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)." But as lively as it was, the 2011 AMAs failed to make a major dent with viewers. Last night's show scored a dismal 1.3/3 ratings share, marking an all-time American Music Award low.

Ladies, get your tissue boxes out! It looks like longtime couple Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova may never get hitched. The two have been dating since late 2001 after she appeared in his music video, "Escape." Despite rumors that they secretly got hitched back in 2005, the two insist that they have never been married and are in no rush to walk down the aisle.
In a recent interview Anna clarified:
"I'm in a happy relationship – that's all that matters. I believe in commitment and I believe in being open and trusting each other and respecting each other completely."
How sweet. Guess it's going to take Enrique some time to put a ring on it.
Do you see marriage potential here?

November is going to be a busy month for award shows. Just two weeks after the Latin Grammys air, the American Music Awards will be broadcast and they are boasting a stellar cast of nominees. Tr3s faves like Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, and Bruno Mars will all be competing.
Pit and Bruno actually scored two nominations each this year. Mars is up for Favorite Pop Male Artist and Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist. Mr. 305 will be fighting for Pop Male Artist too, as well as Best Latin Artist (against J. Lo and Enrique Iglesias).
But the AMA darling of the night will most likely be Adele. The British crooner is up for four awards, including the coveted Artist of the Year. Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga each scored three noms and should offer some stiff competition in the Female categories.
Interestingly, another up-and-coming Latino got some AMA love as well. R&B star Miguel scored a nomination in the New Artist of the Year category. Known for his hit, "All I Want Is You," he'll be fighting it out against LMFAO and Wiz Khalifa.
You can see exactly who takes home what when the American Music Awards go live on November 20.

Sure back in the day Enrique Iglesias' "Escape" seemed poppy and fun, but time has not been kind to its 2002 video. And the comedians at FunnyOrDie.com have posted a hilarious "Pop Up Video" spoof, ripping its fashion trends, special effects, and terrible acting.
Directed by Dave Meyers, the "Escape" video is actually kind of a fun time capsule of the early 2000's. There are cheesy CGI motorcycle effects, bare-chested Moroccan shirts, and plenty of scenes with hottie-of-the-moment, Anna Kournikova.
Now we all know what happened with Enrique and Anna off the set, but in the video they do make an awkward pair. Kournikova completely overacts her emotional cues and partakes in a pretty bizarre love scene in a women's restroom.
Of course, the Funny or Die commentators have a field day ripping on that stuff and all of the other nuances Iglesias incorporated into the shoot. There's the notorious "butt shot," major wardrobe malfunctions, and plenty of jabs at Enrique's over-the-top persona.
We can't wait to see what old school videos they go after next!

Sure it was fun watching Katy Perry take home Best Video at the VMAs last night, but the award we're most excited about is Best Latino Artist! For the past several weeks, there has been a heated battle brewing between Don Omar, Enrique Iglesias, Prince Royce, Maná, and Wisin y Yandel. And now we're happy to announce that W y Y have "officially" taken it down!
Of course we won't get to hear their acceptance speech until Monday September 5, when the VMAs get broadcast on Tr3s. But Wisin y Yandel did issue a brief statement thanking fans for their win.
"It is a privilege to be nominated for this 'Best Latino Artist' award and an honor to receive this award, voted by the fans," they said. "This award is proof that hard work and perseverance can lead you to your goals. Thank you to the fans and Tr3 for their continued support."
Obviously with millions of records sold (and a hot new single with Ricky Martin), these two more than deserve it. Not only that, they're great guys and do A LOT of charitable work within the Latin community. Congratulations to Wisin y Yandel on their big win!

You know you're doing something right if you're able to score more Dance Chart hits than Michael Jackson. According to Billboard, Enrique Iglesias has broken the record of most Dance/Club Play Songs #1s among men!
Enrique's latest hit, "Dirty Dancer" is the track that sealed the deal, topping the chart this past week and ousting MJ's record. But don't think earning this title was a quick victory, Iglesias has been charting Dance hits since the late 1990's.
"Bailamos" was actually his first #1 in the Dance/Club category, followed by such favorites as "Escape" and "I Like It." So far, Enrique has scored nine chart-topping hits (and we're sure there will be plenty more to come).
Of course, this record only accounts for the male audience. If Iglesias wants to the hold the title for most Dance/Club #1s among all listeners, he's going to have to topple Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Prince.

Sorry Atlanta residents, the MTV Live Georgia special did not pass through the Peach State. Rather, it was a massive overseas concert centered in Batumi and broadcast to millions of Russian music fans. Tr3s fave Enrique Iglesias headlined the event, which featured local acts like Eldrine and Sofia Nizharadze.
"Thank you to all the fans at MTV Live Georgia! I had a blast!" Iglesias enthusiastically tweeted after the show.
Kicking off last Tuesday at 7pm, the Live Georgia event went into the wee hours of the night and drew a live audience of over 20,000. Millions more watched on TV as Enrique took the mic and belted out tunes like "I Like It."
Set on a gigantic outdoor stage, the concert featured huge Jumbotron screens and plenty of bombastic pyrotechnics. For Enrique, it continued his exotic summer touring schedule. He had previously played Australia and several dates in Europe.
Now Iglesias is set to return to the U.S., but with some high-profile Tr3s faves by his side. Starting in September, he'll be back on the road with Prince Royce and Pitbull!

We're starting to wonder if Enrique Iglesias may have had a little too much to drink before his infamous Sydney concert last week. First there were those reports about him shooting pictures of his junk and now video footage has surfaced of him announcing his penis size on stage!
For the record, Enrique didn’t flatter himself when talking about his "member."
"Maybe I have the Spanish looks", Iglesias exclaimed. "But I have the smallest penis in the world. I'm serious!"
Yikes! Does that mean he had to use the zoom lens when he stuffed that camera into his pants? Amazingly, the candid confessions didn't end there. Enrique went on to describe how he lost his virginity and his "terrible" bedroom habits.
"I grew up with a lot of my friends and all of them lost their virginity with hookers, not that there's anything wrong with that," he said. "They had to pay for it. I wanted to wait for the right girl so I waited until I was 25."
Later during the concert, Iglesias changed his story and his age when describing his first sexual encounter,
"Usually the first time is not the best. Let me be honest, I was 17-and-a-half, I was so nervous. It lasted ten seconds."
Well, you’ve got admire Enrique's honesty. Now all we need is a second opinion from Anna Kournikova.

Be warned, you may have a tough decision ahead. Starting this Friday, Tr3s is giving you the opportunity to vote for this year’s Best Latino Artist, in celebration of the MTV Video Music Awards. Will it be Don Omar, Enrique Iglesias, Maná, Prince Royce, or Wisin y Yandel? Your mouse click may hold the answer.
Now let’s think about this for a second. Don Omar rocked the house this year with his Meet The Orphans album and that "Danza Kudoro" video. But Enrique had that killer “Tonight (I'm Loving You)” track and some dynamite performances with Pitbull.
Maná has been on fire too, breaking records left and right with their Drama y Luz album. And if you’ve been checking Blogamole lately, you'll know how much Prince Royce's music has been in the news. Though, if your loyalty lies with Wisin y Yandel, that’s perfectly cool too. Especially when you consider the live shows those guys have put together.
So basically, this is a REALLY tough decision. And keep in mind, whoever you pick will appear on Tr3s to accept their award on September 5. So pump up your playlist, concentrate, and choose wisely, because the fate of this year's Best Latino Artist is in your hands!
The polls will be open from Friday July 29 to Friday August 19!

It looks like Enrique Iglesias has joined the X-rated photo club. At the request of an eager fan, the pop crooner snapped a picture of his privates on stage at a Sydney concert!
As expected, the "friendly" gesture drove the crowd wild and cracked up all of his fellow bandmates. Interestingly, this isn't the first time Iglesias has shared his "junk" with the world. He had done a similar camera-in-the-pants move for a fan at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
After all that, you've got wonder; have the notorious pix surfaced online yet? Apparently Enrique's dedicated fans have decided to respect his privates, choosing not to publish the sexy snaps on any of the gossip websites.
But even if Iglesias' "junk" pix do go viral, it may not necessarily be a bad thing. As we've seen with former congressman, Anthony Weiner, these latest naughty snaps can possibly lead to an Enrique action figure or perhaps a job at Hustler magazine.
