The Latino of The Year Award is going to Daddy Yankee for the work he's done with his foundation Corazón Guerrero. He will be given the "prestigious" award on April 26th by Harvard students. We admit this comes as quite a surprise that Daddy Yankee's booty loving image is associated with Harvard University but hey, let's push that aside and congratulate him for his work in the Latino community. El Cangri took home the last Latin Billboard award for Álbum Latino del Año. During his acceptance speech Daddy Yankee yelled out to the audience that Talento de Barrio is coming out this summer. Could he be talking about his highly anticipated movie that's driving reggaeton fans loco? It looks like we might be seeing Talento de Barrio in the theaters este verano so be on the look out!

But it's all in good terms! El Cangri unfortunately had to decline Don Omar's invite because he's scheduled to perform a show in Bolivia that weekend. He has publicly congratulated the sexy couple, Don Omar y Jackie Guerrido, on their wedding so there's definitely no beef (anymore!) between the two. So far, 350 people have confirmed their spot at the Don's wedding on April 19 where guests will enjoy dining on gold utensils and hearing the sweet sounds of Gilberto Santa Rosa and Grupo Manía. Umm, we're still waiting for our invite to the wedding but it probably just got lost in the mail...or, err...something. [La Mega]

The feud between Don Omar and Hector "El Father" is no secreto, but we just wanted to spotlight a recent quote from El Don on Hector's invite to his glorious wedding with Jackie Guerrido en Puerto Rico.

“De ninguna manera lo invitaré, ese nombre ya lo he borrado de mi memoria”

General translation? "In no way would I invite him. That name is gone from my memory." Hehe, well it looks like "El Father" may be missing out on this wedding fiesta. As for Daddy Yankee, this reggaetonero has got the invite since his reconciliation with the Don. [Blog Reggaeton]

We got a listen to Melvin Ayala, hermano de Daddy Yankee, on his new venture towards Christian rap and it's not that bad. Considering that Melvin will be dipping his Puerto Rican toes in the Christian rap world, we probably won't be seeing any half naked chicas or gangsters-for-life signs in Ayala's image. His nuevo album, Vivir por Fe, is set to release this month so check it out and see how Christian rap suits your taste. No word yet on whether Daddy Yankee and Melvin have plans to sing together in the future. Wonder which rappero will crossover to the other side? El Cangri made a movie about what’s really real in the streets of Puerto Rico. Drugs, violence, guns, you know, all that good stuff. Check out this really long ass trailer that pretty much sums up all the cool parts of the movie for you. In case you may not get the whole storyline, it stars Edgar (Hey, we have a Tio named Edgar!) the drug dealer (oh...) who falls in love and is offered a job of being a Reggaeton singer. BUT which life does he choose? The life of drugs or the life of fame and fortune? Hmm, tough decision there. Either way, we’re curious to see how Daddy Yankee handles his first film. No word yet on when the movie will be released in the States on the big screen or on DVD but in the mean time, tell us how you think the movie will do? Does Daddy Yankee have any acting talent? This is Oscar worthy acting right here. Someone call the Academy! There is no doubt that the lets-be-friends scenario was completely planned out in this Wisin y Yandel concert in Puerto Rico. But who cares, right? What matters is that the feud between Don Omar and Daddy Yankee is finally over and we can enjoy these two artists at the same time without feeling a little bit guilty.
