It looks like it's going to be a busy 2012 for Romeo Santos. Riding high off the success of his first solo album, Formula Vol. 1, the bachata maestro has announced a slew of tour dates in massive venues across the U.S.
Starting in February, Romeo will be crisscrossing the country with a series of stadium shows. Amazingly, he's already sold out New York's Madison Square Garden on Feb 11. He'll be playing a second Garden concert on Feb 23, followed by stops in Miami, Boston, Chicago, L.A., and Vegas (just to name a few!).
And just to prove that he's in the spirit of giving, Santos is even offering a contest for tickets to his live shows. His "12 Days of Christmas" sweepstakes will give 12 fans the chance to see him perform and one lucky winner will even get a personalized limo ride to the show.
We have a feeling watching Formula come to life will definitely be worth the price of admission. Be sure to check out Romeo’s official web site for more details on venues, dates, and ticket prices.

Good news Shakira fans! If you've got a few million bucks to spare, you can have the Colombian songstress perform at your next birthday party. And that's exactly what Indian real estate mogul K.P. Singh got to experience, when he turned 80 this week.
Apparently Shaki flew to the Indian city of Udaipur for the festivities, then took a decorated boat to Singh's private island. And once she arrived, she got her "Waka Waka" on at one heck of a party!
According to Hispanically Speaking, K.P's cumpleaños fiesta featured Bollywood stars, intricate dance numbers, and a few hundred of his closest friends. Not only that, he was treated to all of the She Wolf's greatest hits!
But don't think Shaki's Indian visit was strictly for the payday. While visiting the country, she made sure to drop by needy schools and impoverished communities.

Usually bands like earning tons of cash for their concerts, but not Calle 13. In what was actually a pretty noble move, the group's frontman Residente abruptly cancelled an Argentine show because he believed the ticket prices were too high.
Set to take place in the southern city of Comodoro Rivadavia, the Calle concert was charging as much as $500 pesos a seat. That seemed to be too steep for Rez, who informed fans via Twitter that he was postponing the show indefinitely.
"Due to the high Price of tickets for the Comodoro show without our consent, we decided to postpone the date until the prices are lowered," he said. "We travelled to Argentina by land so that the ash from the Chilean volcano didn't have the chance of causing the show to be cancelled. We were 16 hours into the journey when we found out how expensive the tickets were."
Interestingly, Residente's statement may provide some insight into how little bands profit at their own shows. More than likely it was the promoters, ticket brokers, and venue owners that caused the costs to get beefed up. Hopefully, they'll get the message and help Calle put on a concert that everyone can afford.

Ricky Martin isn't exactly a favorite pop star among church goers in Honduras. Religious leaders attempted to get Ricky's upcoming concert on October 16th canceled due to its "erotic content," but the performance at the Choci Sosa stadium in Tegucigalpa will proceed as scheduled.
The group also tried to get Ricky's visa into the country denied due to his creative content and sexual orientation. Honduras is just one of his many stops during his "MAS: Música + Alma + Sexo" tour in Latin America. The Puerto Rican singer is currently in Costa Rica preparing to perform for thousands of fans in the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa tomorrow.
Although the concert in Honduras was allowed to continue, it turns out that kids under 15 will not be allowed to attend the show. According to the Minister of the Interior, Ricky's show:
"Is not the type of family that the laws of Honduras and the Honduran society wants to build and encourage to young people and the rest of the population."
The last time we checked, Ricky Martin's performances never suffered any wardrobe malfunctions. His performances are as racy as the next pop star.
Do you think these religious groups should get away with this level of discrimination?

It's hard to believe that Bob Marley has been gone for over 30 years. Since his passing in 1981, countless tribute have been bestowed upon the reggae music legend. And the latest one happens to be a special concert held in Cuba at the end of the month.
Labeled the Jamaica to Toronto Project, the Marley jam session will feature artists like Paul Everton, Dave West, and Ruy Lopez Nusa. They will all be performing at Havana’s Fine Arts Theater on October 22 for what they call, Paul does Marley y La Academia.
When asked why the group chose Cuba as their venue, Lopez Nusa, a Cuban percussionist responded,
"[We chose it] as a sign of the brotherhood, solidarity and musical richness that distinguishes us among the peoples of the region."
As of right now, no Marley family members have confirmed their participation. But we won't be surprised if at least one of Bob's kids pops up in Havana at the end of the month. The Rasta God reportedly had 12 children, who never miss a chance to honor their dad's legacy.

Rihanna's concert is most definitely one you have to check out this summer! Last night I had the privilege of attending her Los Angeles, Staple Center show and she did NOT disappoint.
Rihanna opened the show wearing a metalic blue peacoat then went to straight into an amazing neon studded two piece only Rihanna could pull off. The crowd went crazy the second the bass hit for "Man Down" which seemed to be an audience favorite.
Of course I spotted a few celebrities... Jamie Foxx was there with his beautiful daughter Corinne Foxx, Stevie Wonder (Go figure), Keri Hilson danced the night away with a few girlfriends and even rumored Ri-Ri ex-boyfriend Tristan Wilds was hanging out.
I was sitting right behind the guy who co-starred with Rihanna in the "California King Bed" video and let me tell you he is GORGEOUS! I did embarass myself mid-show when Rihanna performed the song and I decide to tap his shoulder and ask "hey, arent you that guy in the video?!?!" LOL
Rihanna went on to continue performing hit after hit and closed the show with "Love The Way You Lie" which was written by both Eminem and Skylar Grey (Side bar: Get famliar with Skylar Grey trust me).
Thanks Rihanna for making me laugh, cry, dance and letting me just pause for a few hours from this crazy life.
As most of you already know my boys LMFAO just released their new album Sorry For Party Rockin' featuring their hit single "Party Rock Anthem". A few years ago, these Grammy nominated dudes performed at my Karlifornia birthday party and now they are traveling the entire world with the Party Rock Crew. So proud of them!
This week I attended one of the many album release parties in Beverly Hills. The event was pretty amazing I even saw Nicky and Paris Hilton singing along to their song "Champagne Showers." Redfoo is in the studio RIGHT NOW with Kanye West! I cannot wait to hear what those two have in store for us.
Okay, Lindsay Lohan is out of house arrest so I'm sure a few parties will be happening this week I can get my Tr3s fam the inside scoop on.

Troubled English diva Amy Winehouse famously sang "No, no, no!" about her handlers' repeated attempts to lock her up in a rehab facility. It seems those same handlers may shortly have yet another chance. After a disastrous opening night in Belgrade, Serbia, word is that Amy's big comeback tour -begun just days after leaving a week-long period of intensive inpatient rehab in London's exclusive, and very pricey, Priory clinic - is at an end.
It was supposed to be her triumphant return, fulfilling the promise of her career-launching 2007 album "Back to Black." Fans in impoverished Serbia had lined up to pay the equivalent of nearly $60 US to see Amy perform live in that nation's capital on Saturday, June 18. But when Winehouse took the stage more than an hour late, she greeted the eager crowd of more than 20,000 people with a shout of "HELLO, ATHENS!" and then slurred her way through the show, forgetting lyrics, leaving the stage over and over and forcing her bewildered backup singers to carry on the performance.
It was clear that her recovery lagged behind her management's plans for a comeback. The video, if you care to watch, is a real downer. Her audience is shouting the lyrics to her, one line at a time, just to hear her sing them back. They clearly really want her to succeed, but she has already undermined herself to the point where recovering the night is impossible. Winehouse is a mess.
This morning, it was announced that several stops on the planned 12-city tour have been cancelled. Dates in Istanbul and Athens have been pulled, in the wake of dire comments from Serbian Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac, who called her performance "a huge shame and a disappointment."
Serbian fans have been putting clips from the disastrous show up on YouTube about as fast as Winehouse's label, UMG, can pull them down. I'm guessing that her fans in Greece and Turkey have mixed feelings today after learning that they won't be seeing Amy's concerts. After all, it's not likely they'd have seen much of her at her best, but on the other hand, its possible that if she doesn't get better - and soon- they might never have a chance. Amy's management released the following statement today:
"Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home. … She would like to apologize to fans expecting to see her at the shows but feels that this is the right thing to do."
I've been listening to live recordings of Amy's performances on YouTube all day. She's so gifted and so obviously troubled. It would be a great loss if she were to suffer an accidental overdose, or simply eclipse her talents by abusing drugs and alcohol, and ultimately, herself. Amy, we're all rooting for you. Get it together - please!
Fans, do you have a message for Amy?

These days, Kobe Bryant’s got nothing on Maná. This June, the Mexican quartet will be rocking the Lakers home turf when they take over L.A.’s Staples Center for three nights of sold-out shows. And with ticket prices hitting $135 and up, you can bet Alex, Fher, Sergio, and Juan will be making a pretty penny too!
Amazingly the Maná L.A. dates sold out just hours after the tickets went on sale. And that’s only the beginning. In the past few weeks, the group’s Drama y Luz tour has begun to shape up nicely. New confirmed venues include Washington D.C.’s Patriot Center on July 14, New York’s Prudential Center on July 16, and Chicago’s Allstate Arena on July 21.
But good old Los Angeles will be the first official stateside stop. Taking place June 23-25, we imagine each night will bring a star-studded crowd. And seeing what happened at that recent L.A. Prince concert, there may be a chance you’ll see some A-list Latinas joining the guys onstage for a dance!
Be sure to check Maná’s website for all of the official tour dates.

As expected, Maná’s musical return after a five-year-hiatus has been met with tremendous success. Their new album Drama y Luz is wowing the critics, their latest single has topped the Latin Song charts, and now the Mexican rockers are ready to kick off a massive summer tour.
Just this past week, Fher Olvera, Alex Gonzalez, Juan Calleros, and Sergio Vallin announced their plans to crisscross America’s biggest live stages. Starting June 16, the guys will be headlining the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. And things only get bigger from there.
L.A.’s massive Staples Center, Dallas’ American Airlines Arena, and San Antonio’s AT&T Center are just a few of the venues Maná will be performing at. And seeing how each of those arenas contains thousands of seats, we imagine it will be a very lucrative summer for el grupo.
Other cities that Maná plans to hit include Miami, Atlanta, New York, and Chicago. Though the exact venues of their east coast leg have yet to be worked out, we imagine the guys will make sure that each one can accommodate all of those eager Drama Y Luz fans.
So far, the tour dates are scheduled to run through late July. Be sure to check the band’s official website for more breaking updates.

Sure she may prance around barefoot and wear casual clothes, but concert promoters in Mexico City are claiming that Colombian songstress Shakira is actually a high-end diva! TV y Novelas posted a recent article about her alleged onstage demands and they are actually a bit shocking.
Organizers at the massive Foro Sol stadium have gone public about the requirements of Shakira’s handlers. Among other things, there must a private Shaki room built from scratch in the middle of the stage. Claiming it’s for costume changes, the idea of an additional dressing room does seem odd since Foro Sol already provides luxurious suites for its performers.
Other demands include multiple bodyguards at all times and a strict rule about no one stepping on the stage before Shaki. Even her opening acts must use rugs when they perform and can never put their shoes on the same flooring as the She-Wolf.
Seeing how she does sing a lot of her songs shoeless, that does make some sense but still seems quite odd for a personality as laid-back as Shakira’s. Could it be her increased star power that’s making her more high-maintenance or perhaps a new influence in her life (who happens to know a lot about stadiums)?
