As we all know, Cristina Saralegui is a master at getting celebrities to open up on her talk shows. And this past week, she got a ton of juicy gossip from the madre of Mr. 305, Alysha Acosta.

Pitbull's mom delivered some shocking revelations to the audience during her appearance, including the fact that she's a recovering alcoholic. Apparently for quite a long time, Pit and his sisters didn't want anything to do with her. And that's something she takes full responsibility for.

"[I grew up] in the hippie era," she told Cristina. "It was full of LSD, PCP, marijuana, and when you're on drugs or drunk, you lose all your morals, your conscience…everything!"

But thankfully it seems like Alysha has cleaned up her act and is on much better terms with her mega-famous son. When asked about Pitbull, Acosta said that their relationship seems to be better now than it's ever been.

A while back we mentioned how Don Omar was going to be a headliner at one of Indianapolis' pre-Super Bowl concerts. But unfortunately, that reggaeton jam never came to be. El Don cancelled his appearance at the last minute, possibly due to tension with Univision.

According to Latin Gossip, Omar was upset with the way Univision was handling the television rights. Though it hasn't been confirmed, many believe he bailed because he couldn't secure a deal with the broadcasting giant.

Clearly that left a lot of fans disappointed, but the show still went on. Alejandra Guzman and Larry Hernandez carried the slack, delivering powerhouse performances for the crowd.

And interestingly, Guzman even showed a little New England pride during her set. Before breaking out into one of her signature tunes, the Mexican songstress threw on a colorful Patriots-inspired football helmet.

Looks like there may be some new drama in store for Freddie Roach's HBO reality show. It seems his A-list boxing client, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., was popped for a DUI this past weekend.

The incident happened on an L.A. freeway after Chavez was pulled over for a routine traffic stop. After smelling a strong alcoholic stench from his Land Rover, the cops decided to break out the sobriety tests.

That's when Julio went down for the count, failing the tests and ultimately getting booked for Driving Under the Influence. So far, Chavez' reps have refused to comment on the matter, but we're certain he's in for some heavy fines and a possible suspended license.

Now we're all for getting our party on (especially on Super Bowl weekend), but drinking and driving is never a good mix. Perhaps Julio should invest some of the millions he earns from his next fight on a professional limo driver.

It may not be as bad as Janet Jackson's nipple, but M.I.A.'s middle finger did stir up quite a bit of backlash after yesterday's Super Bowl. Madonna’s halftime show collaborator has already angered the NFL, which issued a statement to sensitive fans who were watching yesterday's big game.

"The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing and we apologize to our fans," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said today.

Seeing how viewers of all ages watch the Super Bowl, we're certain the football org got swarmed with angry emails today. McCarthy went on to assure fans that M.I.A. did not use the gesture during any of the halftime rehearsals.

Nevertheless, the damage has been done and M.I.A. added another feather to her controversy cap. The 36-year-old rapper has already had videos censored on MTV and was even listed as a Homeland Security threat because of her outspoken political views. Perhaps Madge should've used Lourdes as her musical halftime cheerleader instead.

Let the Super Bowl backlash begin! One day after the big game, New England fans are up in arms over comments made by Gisele Bundchen. The Brazilian beauty blamed the Patriot's loss on the team's receivers who failed to catch passes thrown by her hubby Tom Brady.

"You (have) to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball," Gisele was overheard saying. "My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."

It seems Wes Welker, Deion Branch, and Aaron Hernandez may be the key figures she was referring to. All three of them dropped key passes and Welker, in particular, missed one that may have cost the team the game.

Regardless, we can certainly see why Pats fans are upset. Pointing fingers will certainly not build camaraderie in the locker room, even if Bundchen's comments were made off the record.

Aaron Carter's sister, Leslie Carter, apparently died as a result of an overdose of prescription medication. Officials say the 25 year old had been diagnosed with depression, and they had found medication for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and muscle relaxers near her body.

Ginger Carter, Leslie's stepmother, was home with Leslie when she died on Tuesday in New York. She described how Leslie had confessed she was "not feeling great" that morning over coffee. Leslie then went into the bathroom. After a while, Ginger was concerned and checked up on her, only to find Leslie had fallen in the shower.

Ginger helped Leslie into bed, and eventually Leslie fell asleep. Ginger thought everything was okay, since Leslie "had all the color to her skin and was breathing." When Leslie's father came home, he found her unresponsive. He attempted CPR and called 911. She was pronounced dead later on at the hospital.

Ginger reportedly told authorities that Leslie had "a long history of mental illness" and seemed depressed before her death. Leslie was an aspiring singer and leaves her 10 month old baby behind.

Ginger was so distressed with Leslie's overdose, she took a bit too much medication herself. Authorities who interviewed the stepmother noticed she appeared to be under the influence and exhibited "slurred speech, pin-point pupils, glassy eyes and kept falling asleep." Ginger had apparently taken six pills, including Xanax, and the officer was concerned she might also suffer an overdose.

Officials are waiting on a toxicology report for Leslie Carter, and no information was given on whether Ginger received any medical attention after the incident.

I'm sure by now everyone has heard about Demi Moore's medical emergency that landed her in the hospital last week. The actress was rushed to the hospital by paramedics after they received a 911 call concerning the actress going into seizures after allegedly inhaling nitrous oxide.

Several sources have come forward since then to comment on Demi's partying habits, particularly those concerning her going clubbing with people half her age. She has been spotted hanging out with her daughter Rumer and her younger friends at certain nightclubs, typically drinking Red Bull and hanging out until the wee hours of the night.

Demi's reckless partying has been rumored (see what I did there?) to have spawned from her desire to remain young, and possibly as a result of all the Ashton Kutcher drama from earlier last year.

Moore apparently attended several nightclubs this year, and finally ended up in the hospital after too many whip-its on January 23rd. She was even seen at a party Miley Cyrus threw for her boyfriend Liam, which featured an infamous penis cake. Why Miley would get a penis cake for her boyfriend is beyond me, but to each their own. Who knows what goes on in the minds of these Hollywood starlets.

Those who have commented on Demi's recent loss of control attribute it to her desperately wanting to hold on to a fading youth.

"It's not hard to connect the dots. The woman who became famous for what people thought was eternal youth became a believer in the illusion, and it manifested itself in various ways- partying with her daughter and her 20-something friends, obsessing over her body image, and finally using drugs that appeal to people more than half her age."

It looks like Paulina Rubio needs to hire a new accountant quick! The Latin pop diva reportedly owes a bundle in back taxes, both to the Mexican government and the American IRS.

According to Radar Online, Pau Pau owes nearly $800,000 in taxes and it looks like both countries are eager to collect. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service has already put a $132,000 lien against her in Dade County Florida, with an additional $77,000 lien in Broward County.

And interestingly, Rubio isn't the only celeb the tax man is after at the moment. RevRun from Run D.M.C. owes $450,000 in back taxes and R&B crooner Robin Thicke is being asked to pay up to $500,000!

But Pau Pau's total debt seems to trump them all. Let's hope she can push her new Brava! album to platinum status and pay back that debt ASAP.

There's been quite a lot of drama in Snooki land within the past 24 hours. Yesterday, Star Magazine broke a story that claimed the Jersey Shore star was pregnant! But Snooks quickly fired back, denying any and all baby rumors.

Snooki (who's of Chilean heritage) took to the radio airwaves Wednesday morning to deny the story. Speaking on The Opie and Anthony Show, the pint-sized "Guidette" adamantly stated that she and boyfriend Jionni LaValle were not expecting.

But that hasn't stopped the gossip mongers from coming up with clues. Snooki's recent tweets about morning sickness and late night food cravings also added fuel to the fire.

"She is pregnant and has only told her closest friends and some family," a Star insider recently stated.

Seeing her new super skinny frame, we're sure if there is a baby bump in there, it'll be hard to miss!

If you're hoping to catch Mel Gibson on the big screen in the near future, you're in for a bit of a disappointment. The controversial star's new film, Get The Gringo, will be skipping theaters entirely and going straight to Video On Demand.

Described as a gritty R-Rated action film, Gringo reportedly takes place in a Mexican jail. Gibson plays an American who winds up behind bars after a violent border chase. Mel financed and co-wrote the film himself, but had a tough time finding distribution after his recent drunken antics.

Nevertheless, Gringo will live on in the VOD world and eventually on DVD. The movie will be available for purchase on cable outlets like DirecTV starting in early May, with a Blu-Ray release planned later in the summer.

Although we're happy to see Gibson giving work to Mexican actors, we think Gringo may be a tough sell. Especially when you consider his one-time tirade toward the Latino community.
