Last night Miami rolled out the red carpet for Premio Lo Nuestro 2012 and turned up the heat! The much anticipated awards show included spectacular performances, controversial moments and what seems like hundreds of celebrities.

The show opened with none other than el "Cangri" Daddy Yankee who wowed audiences with 3D visuals unlike anything ever seen. The reggeatonero performed his smash hit Lovumba with futuristic robots and a shower of fireworks that exploded at his every step. Yankee even broke the song down in English yelling out "baby come and get it, I just can't wait anymore!" Shortly after his performance he won the best collaboration category with Prince Royce for Ven Conmigo.

Gloria Trevi kept the audience on its feet performing the classic 80's song Gloria with a Spanish twist. The singer rocked out looking incredible with a sophisticated pelo suelto look. With three nominations, it's easy to see why Trevi has become the icon she has.

The most talked about incident came from Chino y Nacho's performance of El Poeta, which unfortunately didn't come out as planned.

It was supposed to be that both Chino and Nacho descended from up above to the actual stage but only Chino was able to make it down. Nacho was stuck in the device that was supposed to bring him down and was finally brought down towards the end of the song leaving poor Chino to perform on his own.

The duo won the award for best tropical duo/group of the year and during their acceptance speech Nacho got emotional dedicating the award to his deceased father. He joked that he got stuck because his dad wanted him to sing closer to the sky.

There were other emotionally charged moments courtesy of the lifetime achievement winner Don Francisco, whose show Sabado Gigante has been on the air for 50 years! The award was presented by Enrique Iglesias who said,

"On behalf of all artists, I want to express my eternal gratitude to you. Sabado Gigante was the first show that I ever did."

Pepe Aguilar was also honored with an award for excellence and before accepting, he performed an amazing set of all his classics.

One of my favorite moments of the show was when Alejandra Guzman performed Dia De Suerte alongside Moderato. This was easily one of the best musical performances of the night and it concluded with Guzman flying into the sky like an angel. The singer won the award for best alternative rock song was also nominated for her collaboration with Moderato.

There were so many world premieres I lost count! Laura Pausini delighted the audience with her presence after a two year break from singing. Luis Fonsi vertically walked walls like a sexy hispanic spider-man for his debut performance of Claridad.

Tito El Bambino threw everyone Fuera De La Casa (not literally that's just the name of his new song) and he won the award for tropical album of the year while Paulina Rubio debuted her new single, Me Voy, alongside fellow Mexican Espinosa Paz.

Who could forget the king of bachata Romeo Santos?! He performed his new single Mi Santa alongside flamenco dancers and guitarists. His sultry voice melted everyones heart and left many women speechless. Of course the prince of bachata Prince Royce also made his presence felt, performing Cosas Pequeñas to an adoring fan base.

The best performances of the night (yes performancesssss plural) came from Mr. 305 Miami himself, Pitbull!

For his performance of International Love the stage turned into a full blown jet plane filled with sexy stewardesses and Chris Brown was the captain. Although I wasn't too convinced by Chris Brown's performance, Pitbull stole the entire show and performed again with Juan Magan to close the awards ceremony. Pitbull cleaned up at the awards show with premios for best album urbano and best artista urbano, dale!

All in all it was an incredible year for Premio Lo Nuestro that will surely go down in awards show history.

It's official, Chino y Nacho have a major hit on their hands. The Venezuelan duo's Supremo record has already topped the Latin Album Charts and is about to get even more of a mainstream boost. C y N just confirmed that Akon will be appearing in the video for their latest single, "Bebe Bonita."

"Bebe" is actually a three-way duet between Chino, Nacho, and British rapper Jay Sean. Sean, of course, appears in the video too, but it's Akon who seems to be making the most headlines.

The Konvicted crooner seemed more than eager to help out his old buddies. As we all know, Akon's got a lot of history with Jay, having performed with him on the Supafest tour and on singles like "Down."

And the four of them seem to be getting along great, as evidenced by the pic Lateen Gossip put up on its site. We're already huge fans of the "Bebe" track and we’re hopeful the star-studded video can push Chino y Nacho to even greater musical heights.

It looks like Billboard is ready to branch out. After putting out successful shows like the Billboard Music Awards and the Billboard Latin Music Awards, the trade mag is now launching the first ever Billboard Mexican Music Awards. And they've hired Kate del Castillo to be the host!

To be fair, del Castillo will actually be co-hosting with Pedro Fernandez. But the novela queen is already attracting a ton of attention over her new role. She even sent out several tweets about it this week.

Expected to be a who's who in the regional Mexican music world, the show's already lined up performances from Jenni Rivera, America Sierra, and El Bebeto. Mama-to-be Gaby Espino has been listed as a presenter, along with Chino y Nacho.

Telemundo, which coincidentally was the home of Kate's hugely popular La Reina del Sur, will be airing the show later this month. Keep checking with Blogamole to hear about all of the big winners!

It looks like Chino's other half caused quite a stir on the red carpet of the Premios Juventud awards last week. Joking with reporters, Nacho made a few derogatory remarks about his home country of Venezuela. Now with backlash brewing, he officially hit the Twitterverse to apologize.

"Aprenderé al igual que ustedes, a hablar siempre bien de mi país, así como lo hacemos todos en Vzla cada día! Buenas noches, mis disculpas," Nacho posted.

The 27-year-old reggaeton star admitted he was a little shocked that so many people were offended by his jokes. What really seemed to upset people was his line,

"We come from Venezuela and are here to rob you."

It seems obvious to us that he was kidding, especially when you consider that Chino y Nacho have always incorporated Venezuelan pride into their music. Commenting on the backlash, Nacho tweeted,

"Me sorprendo de lo rápido que nace el odio y de lo lento que se gana el amor, una gran tristeza, pido disculpas, solo era un chiste!"

Perhaps some of their Venezuelan fans felt a little more sensitive at the time because of that recent loss at Copa América.

We all remember Chino y Nacho’s 2009 smash "Niña Bonita." Not only was the track a worldwide hit, it was also the name of the reggaeton duo's second album. Well now it looks like another songwriter is claiming "Niña" as his own and has filed a $10 million lawsuit to prove it!

Dominican producer Stanley Agramonte says he wrote "Niña" back in 2007, two years before C y N's smash single. He claims that the duo never asked for his permission to use the track and was shocked when heard their version on the radio.

"Si tú escuchas la canción, te das cuenta que el principio es igual en términos de acordes y el arreglo y la letras es parecida," Stanley said. "A mí no me importa el dinero, yo lo que quiero es mi derecho de autor. Yo traté de comunicarme con ellos, pero ellos están en actitud y se creen estrellas."

It's interesting how Agramonte claims the lawsuit is not about the money, yet wants millions of dollars in returns. Does he have a case? We don't think so. Sure the names are the same, but Chino y Nacho's version is way different from what Stanley wrote. Latin Gossip even offered a side-by-side comparison for you to judge for yourself.

This week, we welcomed a lot of famous Latinos into the world. Barely out of the womb, Twitter fans got word of new little ones from Miguel Ignacio "Nacho" Mendoza, Gael Garcia Bernal, Alexis Ayala, Sergio Mayer, and Ernesto D'Alessio.

We already told you about the next generation of Chino y Nacho, but since that news on Tuesday, four other Latino celebs became daddies. Motorcycle Diaries star Gael Garcia Bernal and his girlfriend Dolores Fonzi welcomed their second child, a beautiful daughter named Libertad (who, for the record, was NOT named after the new Christian Chávez single).

Mexican actor Sergio Mayer also became a proud papa, sharing his good news with the twitterverse.

"A unos minutos ya de conocer a mi bebé, qué emoción, la hemos esperado tanto tiempo", he posted after his new daughter Victoria came into the world.

And fans of novelas hunk Alexis Ayala were very pleased when he tweeted about the birth of his new daughter. Alexis and his wife Fernanda had some struggles throughout her pregnancy, but thankfully little Roberta arrived safe and sound.

"Bueno, pues hoy es un día nuevo, pero nuevo nuevo, nuevo para nosotros. Roberta llegó anoche a las 23:49,” he posted.

And finally, Mexican actor Ernesto D'Alessio offered visual proof that he and wife Rosario have flawless genes when he posted a pic of his newborn son Juan Mateo. Similar to Nacho, Ernesto tweeted a birthing play-by-play at the hospital.

"Estuvimos media hora en el quirófano, fue muy rápido y sin ninguna complicación, mi esposa estuvo consciente todo el tiempo y él está sano, gracias a Dios.”

“Está muy largo, me imagino que será muy alto. Yo corté el cordón umbilical y puedo decir que es un asunto de Dios, es algo que la gente tiene que vivir, es una sensación en el corazón y el estómago que no se puede explicar, siento una felicidad muy grande.”

Congratulations to all of the new mommies and daddies!

Forget using Twitter to announce a pregnancy, now celebrities are using it straight from the delivery room! Miguel Ignacio "Nacho" Mendoza from the reggaeton duo Chino y Nacho thrilled his 54,000 followers this week with twitpix of his newborn son, Miguel Alejandro.

Sporting a nice crop of black hair and eyes that definitely resemble a bit of daddy, Miguel arrived without any complications. That’s something Nacho’s followers know for a fact, since he literally tweeted through every step of the birth.

“Dentro del quirófano!!”

“Los doctores concentrados sacando al principito!”

“Faltando poco!”

“Con la gracia divina y el favor de Dios, llegó a este mundo Miguel Alejandro!”

And there were plenty of posts. After reading them all, it was clear that Nacho, 27, is a very proud papa and his partner Inga Devera is doing just fine.

Interestingly there were no updates on whether or not Uncle Chino was in the waiting room, but we imagine he’ll be more than ready to do a few lullaby duets once baby Miguel is brought home.

Nacho has another son from a previous relationship.

In December, we predicted that Mexican pop star Dulce Maria and Venezuelan duo Chino y Nacho would continue to make great music together after the success of their "Navidad Navidad" single. Now, all three artists, along with Jenni Rivera, are set to perform at the Pepsi Musica Super Bowl Fan Jam on Friday, Feb. 4.

We know what you’re thinking: This year’s Super Bowl is on Sunday, Feb. 6. Well, this won’t be happening in tandem with the Black Eyed Peas halftime show (or Christina's national anthem for that matter), but it will be a great way to kick off football's biggest weekend.

Organized by soft drink powerhouse Pepsi, the Super Bowl Fan Jam will be no small affair. The concert —the second in the NFL Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam concert series — follows opening night performances by Kid Rock, Duran Duran and Jason Derulo on Thursday, Feb. 3, at Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas. The two-and-a-half hour Friday night show will be televised on Univision the following day.

So can we expect some “Navidad Navidad” in the set list? Probably not. But with Dulce and the guys' success with holiday jingles, why not debut an original Valentine’s song for all those NFL wives looking to get romantic on Feb. 14?

Tickets for the NFL Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam concert series are on sale at Ticketmaster. Individual concert tickets are available for $45 and $60 for the Thursday night concert and $45 for the Friday night event.

It’s that time of the year again. The time when radio stations start rotating in holiday tracks and Jose Feliciano’sFeliz Navidad” becomes an inescapable part of every Latino Christmas party. Now you can add one more Spanish jingle to the mix, the new “Navidad, Navidad” single from Chino y Nacho and Dulce Maria.

Arranged by famed producer Arthur Hanlon (who wrote the star-studded “La Gota de la Vida” charity song), “Navidad Navidad” has been described as an updated Spanish version of “Jingle Bells.” Featuring heavy pianos and great harmonies between the three singers, it’s actually a pretty catchy holiday song.

Having just picked up a Latin Grammy for their Mi Niña Bonita album, Venezuelan duo Chino y Nacho are riding pretty high right now. Their music has attracted an entire continent of fans, with styles ranging from thumping reggaeton, to tropical steel drums, to pure pop harmonies. Add them together with RBD darling Dulce Maria and you’ve got some pretty exciting music on your hands. Her vocal range and proven pop prowess can easily connect the duo to an entirely new audience.

But our question is, if you’ve got three of Latin music’s hottest up-and-comers in the studio, why only have them record a holiday track? The way they sound, this trio could have easily pieced together a No. 1 pop ballad or even an entire album (kind of like Alex, Jorge y Lena).

Here’s the answer. Think back to Jose Feliciano’s song. Believe it or not, he first released it back in 1970 and 40 years later it’s still getting played. Not too shabby and a shrewd mood for music artists looking to collect royalty checks every December. So even though “Navidad Navidad” might not be a No. 1 Billboard single, we imagine you’ll be hearing it for plenty more Christmases to come.

"Navidad Navidad" is now available on iTunes.

Chino y Nacho’s single “Nina Bonita” has been climbing the charts since it debuted on April 6. Available on their hit compilation album, Mi Niña Bonita, today marks the single's second week in the #1 slot on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs.

Chino y Nacho

The Venezuelan duo’s compilation of recent hits proves their musical aptitude throughout a variety of styles, such as reggaetón, reggae, salsa, club and ballads. The reggaetón sound was inspired by reggaetón artist Don Omar, who mentored them after the duo broke away from their boy band, Calle Ciega.
