Who knew Ana de la Reguera had such an affinity with the old west? The Mexican-American actress is following her up role in Cowboys & Aliens with yet another 1880's-inspired drama, the TNT series Gateway.

Produced by the team behind HBO's Band of Brothers, Gateway will follow the lives of three brothers hunting outlaws in a small Colorado town. Up-and-coming actors Cam Gigandet, Keir O’Donnell, and David Denman will play the leads.

Ana's role has been described as a feisty saloon owner and, more than likely, a romantic love interest. Veteran actors Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Donal Logue (Grounded For Life) will round out the cast.

De la Reguera seems pretty excited about the project, telling the Mexican paper Reforma:

"Creo que es de los personajes más fuertes que me han dado, hecho con el que estoy feliz porque va a ser un reto. Es una mujer que no duda en defender todo aquello por lo que ha luchado. Definitivamente, tanto de mis personajes en Estados Unidos como en México, éste es de los más rudos. Tiene un carácter fuerte, no se deja".

If picked up, Gateway should hit the TNT airwaves by next fall.

Christina Aguilera's been showcasing her inner burlesque since "Lady Marmalade," so it wasn't a far stretch to hear she'd been cast in the upcoming film along with 70's disco reina Cher.

'Burlesque' hits theaters Thanksgiving weekend and in it Xtina plays a small town girl hired by the struggling club owner (Cher) as a waitress, and later becomes the venue's main attraction —  thanks to her larger than life voice. Yawn! Sounds like a mix of 'Moulin Rouge' and a little 'Coyote Ugly' to us!

The film also stars 'Twilight' bad boy Cam Gigandet and Kristen Bell. Interested yet?

This week MTV News sat with the much-sought-after Edi Gathegi who plays "bad vampire" Laurent. If you are not familiar with him, get into it! Word is he becomes an important player in the upcoming Twilight sequels. The question is... how bad is this Laurent guy after all?

The 29-year-old NYU grad had this to say about his character:

Laurent is not necessarily an evil vampire. He just has to do that because that's what nature requires him to do. James is the evil one...

It's that time again...

To get your Twilight fix for the semana! Ever wonder what it's like to kiss the hunky Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen)? Or maybe you wonder what Cam Gigandet's fave snack is? Well, our amigos at MTV News gave us a really good treat this time by getting the fans' burning questions answered from the cast.

Kristen Stewart had this to say about every chica's dream: kissing Edward Cullen:

His teeth are pretty sharp. It's great. I like it. It's cool.

It's that time of the week again! When we dish the most sultry behind-the-scenes deets on the thrilling vampire movie everyone is dying to sink their teeth into. With less than two months until "Twilight" premieres on November 21st (as if you don't have your calendars marked!), we’re revealing new details about the caliente actors who play the bad boys we can't live without...

This week MTV News caught up with Cam Gigandet, who was cast as the villain James. When asked about his audition, he admits that he originally didn't get the part and then tried out for the part of Emmett instead. Luckily for us, they called him a week later and offered him the role of James after all! If we had any doubt in our minds that the cast of Twilight was headed for stardom we now have confirmation.

Come September 7th, stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner (Bella, Edward and Jacob) will join the ranks of other A-listers to present an award at this year's VMAs.  Budding star Taylor Lautner, who plays werewolf-to-be Jacob in the movie, had this to say about the offer:

I've watched the VMAs in the past, and the presenters are always, like, these mega-stars like Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, and now, you know, for me to be doing that, I'm really lucky and excited and looking forward to it.

Besides his Twilight duties, the 16-year-old is also shooting his role in the new NBC series "My Own Worst Enemy," in which he plays Christian Slater's son. See how he does on the small screen when the MTV VMAs air live on September 7th @ 9pm EST. [MTV News]

It's Tuesday mi gente, so you know what that means...

More Twilight trivia para ustedes! This week MTV Tr3s caught up with hottie Cam Gigandet and learned why he's the bad guy you love to hate. The Washington native is well known for his role as surfer Kevin Volchok in the uber-popular FOX TV series The O.C. He's also starred in the film Mistaken and recent fighting drama Never Back Down in 2008. However, the most notorious character this 25-year-old has played got us drooling through our sharp, fanged mouths... Cam will play evil vampire "James" in the December teen thriller Twilight.

A very clean cut Cam (unlike his shaggy-haired character), told us why he enjoyed playing the villain in Never Back Down, what his most memorable moment on set for Twilight was thus far, and how he keeps that fine body of his in shape. He also has a special message for anyone attending the premiere - all we can say is watch your back audience members!

Hey Twilighters, don't you fret. We've got your weekly fix.

Last Tuesday (so we're a little late to the game -- give us a break, we're on Latino time after all) we found out that a new Twilight trailer had surfaced on Yahoo. Cheequenlo, it's way better than the previous one. This version delivers más drama, foggy Forks footage and human-vampire sexual tension so thick, you could cut it with a knife . Watching the trailer on repeat has caused some lágrimas en la oficina -- why is 12.12.08 advancing towards us at a snails pace? And what would Abuelita think if we were to pursue an affair with el guapísimo Edward, who's not only a non-Latino, but a non-human? We'd pay the price, fo' sho, even if it ended in one big, bloody bite in el cuello.

Bloody Hell!  You best call ahead and reserve a bed at the ER for este fin de la semana because Sunday night, June 1st for the very first time a full scene from Twilight will air during the Movie Awards preshow.   These are some faintworthy noticias, chicos. Thanks to our vampire-savvy amigos at MTV News, a heart-stopping miradita (we're talking about a full scene, not just that trailer stuff) of Twilight will be revealed on air before the movie hits theaters December 12th.

We can see you geeking out of your skin, so we best get to the detalles prontisímo...

THE PRESHOW starts at 7:30 pm, Sunday June 1st. Twilight stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Cam Gigandet will be hot to trot on the red carpet in their first-ever public appearance. MTV reporter Kim Stolz is taking suggestions on what to ask Robert, Kristen and Cam so be sure to lend your inquiring minds to esta chica for this glam interview gig.

There's More.
