Shakira is making sure are upcoming album is laced with the best of the best...

According to the Dominican publication "Listin Diario," the "Beautiful Liar" singer is set to collaborate with Madonna for her new track, "Forgiven." Word is that Rihanna was originally chosen to participate in the cadera swayin' track, but that was axed after the Riri-Brown drama surfaced. Think Madonna and Calle 13 are enough for the chart topping chica? We hear she is also forming a collabo with Kat Deluna for the single, "Mírame."

Bueno, we know Shaki wants to express herself, but we hope she will still be flying solo for some tracks! The even bigger pregunta is if any of her new duets will top her steamy "La Tortura" collaboration with Alejandro Sanz. ¿Qué piensas? [MTV TR3s Radio Noticias]

At the uber-emotional Pedro screening event held in mid March at Florida International University the reaction was unanimous: Cryfest 2009.  Among the tear-filled viewers and forum panelists was Calle 13's Residente:

The movie tells us to value life.  I think by telling Pedro's story, many young people will learn the importance of being conscious about this disease that still doesn't have a cure.

MTV Tr3s caught up with front-man René "Residente" Pérez Joglar in Miami for an exclusive interview at the MTV Tr3s Pedro Movie Screening and Panel Event. The panel took place at Florida International University (the school which graduates the highest number of Latinos in the U.S.), to create a dialogue between AIDS experts and youth. René, actors Alex Loynaz, Karolin Luna and Pedro's sister Mily Zamora led the panel.

Last week we dropped the news that the life of Pedro Zamora would be made into a movie...

Las noticias de hoy? MTV Tr3s will host a special screening of Pedro followed by a panel discussion this Friday, March 13th at Florida International University in Miami.

Joining the panel are Pedro cast members Karolin Luna (Rachel) and Alex Loynaz (Pedro).  Additional panelists include Pedro's real life sister Mily, FIU faculty member and AIDS expert Dr. Jesus Sanchez AND Latin hip-hop artist and activist René Pérez from Calle 13! Student Yuri Velasquez will also give his point of view on the film, as a person living with the disease.

We heard Calle 13 and Shakira were recording a duet in the Bahamas two months ago...

But we have details on the new sun-kissed track! The duet titled, "Libertad" was co-written by the hit-making trio and will be featured in Shaki's upcoming album. Rene tucked behind raw satires and uncensored images for a balanced collaboration focused on social cambio. No word yet on when the song will drop.

Calle 13 recently spoke about unifying Latin America con la música:

No yo establezco una unidad entre los barrios; así como que al unirlos todos con una rima, se establece una unidad, yo creo Latinoamericana. Ahí solamente con el hecho de mencionarlos todos juntos en una misma estrofa, entonces eso y al principio como que te habla un poco de dónde yo vengo.

Still getting your "Electro Movimiento" fill? Bueno, prepare yourselves because Calle 13 is ready for round 3!

The hit-makers haven't even taken a pan con mantequilla break since dropping their sophomore album, “Los de Atrás Vienen Conmigo.“ Calle 13 recently fogged-up the camera lens for an electric track, but now they are teaming-up with legendary Panamanian salsa singer, Rubén Blades for the barrio anthem, "La Perla." Word on la calle is that the duo plan on taking time-out of their South American tour to film the video at the histórico ciudad.

Pendiente mi gente! Calle 13 is dropping their new video, "Electro Movimiento" mañana!

The Boricua duo are lacing la pantalla with an electric vibe and sinful storyline. Residente plays an 80-year-old viejito with the libido of a quinceañero while Visitante glows in the dark con las mujeres. The new video is a paradise for dirty pensamientos and electro ritmos. MTV Tr3s recently caught-up with the hit-makers about their latest album, "Los de Atrás Vienen Conmigo":

Este disco salió con el poco tiempo. Yo creo que la presión que nos pusimos porque como que nos dijimos ‘este disco va a salir ahora porque tiene que salir ahora’ pues, ayudó a que se hiciera el disco. Así que es un disco espontáneo, un bueno disco, está la presión ahí, que a veces la presión es buena porque te ayuda hacer las cosas.

We are spreadin' el movimiento and sharing a couple of sneak peeks, including Residente in character. He plays a pervert viejito pretty well no?

He isn't the only one. Visitante is definitely blasting into el mundo electro, including back-up chicas.

Shakira's cadera shakin' beats have officially been remastered...

By the one and only Calle 13. The chart-topping threesome were recently in the Bahamas lacing their new track set to be released on Shaki's next album, which is slated to hit stores later this year. Forget your mamacita's old school romántico duet because this single promises to be a rhythmically explosive joint that will have us reminiscing on our "Tango Pecado."

The half-Lebanese singer plans to stay true to her Arabic roots in her música, and recently hit-up Abu Dhabi for a live performance on New Year's Eve. She shouted-out to the crowd:

I'm the fruit of an Arab land, and I'm immensely proud of my Arab heritage. I just wanted you to know that and also that I can't think of a better place to spend New Year's Eve.
