Single guys and gals, commence jumping for delusional joy! Heartthrob Joe Jonas and Disney starlet Demi Lovato have officially broken up. News broke yesterday (May 24), with rumors circulating that Joe broke up with Demi on the phone. Harsh!

Today (May 25), Demi took to Twitter to set the record straight:

“There are so many crazy rumors flying around today. I'd like to clear a few things up. First, Joe and I did split but it wasn't over the phone. Things didn't work out but we'll remain friends. Secondly, I am NOT dating anybody already. Nothing is more important to me than the relationship I have with my fans..Just thought you guys should know this.”

Shortly after Demi spoke her piece, Joe released his own statement:

“Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one. I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to breakup but I love her as a friend. She's been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her.”

At least they are both being mature about this! Joe has obviously learned from his previous relationship; back in November 2008, Jonas' ex Taylor Swift admitted he dumped her during a "27 second" phone call.

Unfortunately, Jemi's break up couldn’t have come at a more awkward time; the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are about to embark on their “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” world tour.

That sounds like tons of fun, being stuck on a bus with your ex boo and his brothers.

While esta noticia may have some ladies around the MTV Tr3s offices jumping for joy, news en la calle is that Gael García Bernal is splitting from his girlfriend, Argentinian beauty Dolores Fonzi.  Por que?  En un escándalo worthy of a telenovela (or an episode of Cristina), it has come to light that Gael may not be the father of Dolores' baby Lázaro.

Gael was reportedly upset that his relationship with Dolores was not progressing, and after two years of marriage, Dolores has taken baby Lázaro back to her native Argentina.  Amidst the separation drama, it's been reported that Gael is also demanding a DNA test for the baby, as rumors fly about her involvement with film director Luis Ortega around the same time she got pregnant.  Ay, dios mío, que mega-chisme!!

Ojalá la pareja is able to resolve this peacefully, for the sake of the baby!  And, in the meantime... we're sure that Gael García Bernal will have NO shortage of women's shoulders to cry on!  [TV y Novelas; Guanabee]

UPDATE: People.com is calling these rumors false.  According to sources close to the actor, la pareja siguen juntos and there's no truth to any of the paternity doubts.  Esto estará por verse!!

Los reyes de la bachata Aventura were on El Show de Cristina esta semana setting the record straight on rumores sobre Romeo's sexual preferences y la separación del grupo.  Romeo left no room for doubt about either.

"Quiero dejar claro que no soy ni bisexual ni homosexual. No tengo un pelito de pájaro. No entiendo de dónde uno puede crear esa reputación. Hay artistas que por estilo se parten en tarima, pero yo no hago eso y no sé de donde empiezan esos rumores."

Although we think he could've used a better word than "pájaro" to make his claim, he went on to clarify that he isn't homophobic and in fact has several gay people around him that he admires and appreciates (none of whom are members in the group).

De los rumores de la separación we were surprised to find out that it's actually Henry Santos who wants to venture out and do his solo thing y no Romeo como piensa la gente. Mikey even defended Romeo saying that Tommy Mottola offered el cantante un cheque en blanco to sign as a solo artist and he turned it down!

"Vamos a hablar aquí sin hipocresía porque creo que la gente merece conocer la verdad. He tratado en muchas ocasiones de mantener este grupo unido y tengo la reputación de que soy el que quiere romper Aventura. No tengo inquietud de ser solista. Mi primo Henry es un chico muy talentoso, y por favor 'dile al público que eres tú el que quiere hacer tu proyecto como solista.'" [People En Español]

Looks like Luis Fonsi y Adamari Lopez are no longer each other's number 1.

After rumors of infidelity swirled around Luis Fonsi in recent weeks, he and su esposa announced yesterday that they are officially ending their marriage. La pareja made the following statement:

"Luego de ponderarlo detenidamente, se ha tomado la decisión de spararnos. Es una situación que venimos trabajando hace algún tiempo y que entendemos en este momento es lo mejor. Al igual que desde el primer día en que nos conocimos, todo ha sido en paz y buscando el bienestar de ambos y de nuestras familias. En el último año, quizás por lo complicado de nuestras carreras que nos exige distanciarnos por momentos, y por ser ambos figuras públicas, han circulado toda variedad de rumores. Desde una recaída de salud grave, infidelidades e incluso hasta embarazos confirmados. Como ya es conocido ninguno de los anteriores ha sido cierto, y más importante aún, nada de esto ha influenciado ni tiene que ver en lo más mínimo con esta decisión. Aunque dolorosa para ambos, está hecha en total armonía y con el profundo amor que ambos nos tenemos. Aprovechamos para agradecerles por todo el apoyo que siempre nos han brindado comp paraje y para que nos sigan ofreciendo todo ese cariño y respeto en estos momentos."

Luis has been linked to Lilia Luciano, who made the following statemento to El Nuevo Dia in her defense:

No tengo nada que ver con ese bochinche. Adamari es mi amiga y Fonsi también porque vamos al mismo gimnasio, es algo inventado no sé con qué fin. Siempre he admirado a ese matrimoñio y los quiero ver tenido hijos. Son una pareja linda que ha sobrevivido a muchas dificultades. Les tengo cariño a los dos y nunca he mirado a Fonsi con otros ojos que no sean de admiración.

Puerto Rico's fave couple, Calle 13 front man Residente and former Miss Universe 2001 Denise Quiñones, ended their relationship after 3 years together. Publicist for Calle 13, Shirley Rodriguez, confirmed the split telling Puerto Rican newspaper Primera Hora:

Yes, it's true. Neither of them are trying to hide the fact that the relationship is over. But I know that they will continue to be friends.

The pair met on the 2006 set of Nelly Furtado's music video "No Hay Igual" which featured Calle 13 and was shot in the La Perla neighborhood in San Juan. The couple blames their demanding schedules for the break-up as Quiñones has been working in NYC while René's been touring and promoting in Latin America. [PrimeraHora]

You've been following la relación entre Camilla Belle y Joe Jonas desde "Lovebug."

Desgraciadamente, the drop-dead gorgeous pair had an expiration date.  Belle's rep confirmed today, after prolonged speculation, that "Yes, it's true, they have broken up."

What's next for Camilla?  The "Push" actress has been paired by celeb rags con varios hombres guapos, from Robert Pattinson to Madrid-born tennis player Fernando Verdasco.  The gossip mill suggests that Camilla's recent outing with Fernando at the Paribas Open in California may have contributed to the split with Jonas.  The two did dine together after Verdasco's quarterfinal match v. Roger Federer, and Verdasco was spotted with his arm around Belle's neck.  Adding insult to injury, Camilla and Fernando went to her hotel room at night...and were seen outside of the hotel the morning after. Even though we're grieving over the major celeb split, we are rooting for Camilla to date Fernando.  Wouldn't you graduate from a boy-man to a man after seeing a pic like this?  Que Viva España!

The Rebelde duo recently experienced a brush with death when their flight from Barcelona to Slovenia was forced to take an emergency landing due to a failed airplane motor. Once the hazardous plane landed, all of the 174 passengers including Poncho and María were safely transferred to another flight.

Although the "Sálvame" singers were left unsettled at first, they were both grateful that it was simply a minor mishap. Poncho explains:

Me pregunté qué está pasando porque de momento te desconcierta y no entiendes qué es lo que verdaderamente sucede; Aunque lo bueno es que nada más es un susto y nada más, no pasó nada malo.

RBD mania was on steroids during the worldwide march against the infamous breakup, and MTV News was in the center of all the madness! Our reporters caught up with the protesters in Los Angeles to hear about how they felt about the end of an era.

The west coast RBD fans gathered at EMI and marched ten miles for the Rebelde cause, but some fans were adamant that their marches were not necessarily to protest the split. One fan explained:

We want to show them that we support them no matter what. It's not really about their separation because we know they're gonna separate. But we just want to show them that we're here for them.

While some fans took the suave approach, others revealed their immense heartbreak. These fanáticos declared:

RBD is my life. I live and breathe RBD because they inspire me to be who I am.

No please don’t break up! Keep on going! You are our drug, our everything.

This intoxicating movimiento doesn't show signs of fading anytime soon! There is no doubt that RBD has more than enough proof that their fans are taking loyalty to the next level. [MTV News]
