Not even la bella Eva Mendes is guaranteed a seat at Barack Obama's inauguration.

Reports forecast that at least 4 million supporters are expected to attend the historic event on January 20th. Shakira and Beyonce have secured spots after being invited to perform live, but what about Eva the diva, who won't be singing the star-spangled banner? Unfortunately, she is turned-down just like most of us.
Eva recently spoke about not being able to snatch a ticket:
I thought I had some pull—I usually do, and I've been shut down. It's the hardest party to get into...We are still working on it, but I understand the whole thing.
They don't want to make it a celebrity studded event because this in an extremely crucial time in our history and in our world right now. I completely understand that. But of course, I would love to go and be there.
According to our research, tickets are ranging from $2,000 to $8,000! We are sure Eva has the bank account to make it happen. Have you tried to hold your spot at the inauguration? [Latina]

MTV News is sitting down with Senator Obama este fin de semana and they're asking YOU for some Q&A support!
CHANGE is el dicho de oro this year. It has inspired millions of voters during Election 2008, and with 44 million Latinos in the United States, it's no wonder why nuestro vote counts more than ever before.
Whether you represent a red or blue state, lo importante is to make your voice heard! Barack and McCain have sharpened their pencils and taken detailed notes about what issues will motivate voters to hit the polls on November 4th. MTV News and MTV Tr3s offered our Presidential candiates the opportunity to participate in an interactive Q/A quiz featuring your political questions. Despite McCain declining the opportunity, Obama is facing the challenge with full-force.
Read more about Obama-Biden's Latino Blueprint For Change addresses fundamental issues facing Latinos today, including education, immigration and health care. If you've read the plan word for word (doubt it, it's 28 pages in small type) and you STILL have questions, HERE IS YOUR CHANCE.
Submit your questions: Both written and video, to MTV's You R Here website. Top questions will be posed to Senator Obama, and his answers will be broadcast on both MTV Tr3s and MTV starting Sunday evening, November 2nd.
Leave that Blackberry/iPhone on: Keep plugged into your e-mail over the coming days, because if your question is chosen, we'll want to know your reaction to his answer. We'll broadcast your response to his answer on-air and/or online next week.
Brain too fried on cable news coverage to think up an original pregunta? Stimulate your inner Keith Olbermann by heading over to MTV's one stop shop for la política, Choose or Lose. You'll find everything from candidate news and multimedia reports from our 51 street team journalists, to MTV and MySpace presidential dialogues.
Your questions and answers will air Monday, November 3rd on MTV at 9am and 7pm, and on MTV Tres at 11:00am and 6:30pm.

With Election Day officially a week away, Extra! news reporter Mario Lopez received one-on-one time to discuss the importance of our Latino vote with Presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Free of endorsed supporters and the podium spotlight, Barack Obama spoke about his gravely ill abuelita and offered his condolences to singer Jennifer Hudson, who's mother, brother, and nephew were found dead in their Chicago home over the weekend. Besides discussing the family tragedy, Barack also revealed why he thinks Latinos should vote for him on Tuesday.
Obama states:
The Latino community, I think, is an inspirational community...doesn't want things for free...works hard. It's a community that's filled with strivers and I just want to make sure that hard work is rewarded and that's not what's happening right now -- we need change.
Yep, this is probably the first time Mario's dimples have had to take the backseat! Sorry chico, who we represent at the polls is way more importante. Has Obama earned your ticket? [Extra!]

We know the life of a VJ seems like all fun and games...
But when the cameras stop rolling our peeps spend their free time looking out for the community. L. Boogs and Carlos Santos represented for the Empower Arts Education Benefit supporting W.H.C.A.P (Washington Heights Community Arts Project) at pier 66 in New York City last night.
The gala was hosted by none other than L. Boogs (shout out to Sucker Free Latino!). He kept the crowd in order by shhing (is that a word?) the rowdy chicos in the back and even pretended to be Vanna White by showcasing raffled items.
The evening showcased the talents of MTV Tr3s Top 20/ Mi TRL host Carlos Santos también. He performed a stand-up comedy act discussing parranda etiquette and road rules in Puerto Rico. After Carlos was done warming-up the crowd, rapper Malverde came on-stage to represent the west coast. The always political rapper had no problem voicing his pro-Obama agenda in a remix he did over the Lil Wayne "A Milli" beat.
He also expressed why this event was important to him:
Art defines culture. I am a product of the influence art has on the life of a youth.
You can't beat partying for a good cause. For more info on empowering the youth of Washington Heights check out the WHCAP website. Make a difference ahora!

The king of the South is bacccck....
And he goes by the name of Chris Bridges. The Southern Hospitality rapper was on hiatus for a little while but he is ending 2008 with a bang. Sporting button downs and sweaters, Ludacris is all grown up now, and has a starring role and a new album to prove it. After catching heat for vocalizing his political beliefs it seems like a much calmer, quieter Ludacris is in the spotlight. Hear what the Hot-lanta native had to say about working with fly boy Mark Wahlberg, his thoughts on the Presidential election and what his latest toy is after the jump...
