Nothing like a little baby news to kick off a new week. It seems like just yesterday we reported that Mario Lopez and his girlfriend Courtney Mazza were expecting and this past Saturday (September 11), the big day arrived. Their new daughter, Gia Francesca Lopez, was born in Burbank California at a healthy 6 lbs, 4 oz.

Now we already knew how excited Mario’s been about becoming a first-time daddy. He’s been Tweeting about it, showing off his new nursery, and made sure that mom-to-be Courtney was pampered for nine straight months.

Of course none of that compares to the excitement he’s been expressing now that Gia is officially in the world. As he told his show “Extra”, “"We are so overjoyed. What an amazing, wonderful and overwhelming experience to welcome our daughter."

Though we haven’t been able to see any actual pix yet (could she have inherited Daddy Mario’s trademark dimples?), we imagine “Extra” will be focusing plenty of coverage on her trip home. In fact, People.com is reporting that Mario is working on writing a book and creating a reality show about first-time fatherhood.

Sure, Mario Lopez is amazing at showing off his rock hard abs and teaching you how to get them, but the 36-year-old father-to-be is also preparing to flex his fatherly skills for an upcoming book and reality show.

Lopez and his very-pregnant girlfriend Courtney Mazza announced the knocked-up news back in March and revealed that they would rather not know the sex of the baby just yet.

The author of fitness books "Extra Lean" and "Knock-Out Fitness" is proving he has a gentler side by pitching a show about being a hands-on dad.

The show hasn't been confirmed just yet, but we hope it gets picked up! We are glad he is focusing on being an attentive papa, but we just have to add for Courtney's sake - Can he put a ring on it?

If you think drunk dialing is humiliating, then consider misspelling in the celebrity Twittersphere the ultimate embarrassment — just ask La Chica Dorada.

We reported Paulina Rubio's pregnancy news, which she happily shared via Twitter a few days after winning the Billboard Latino Award for "Latin Pop Airplay Artist of the Year." Now, the mama-to-be has apologized to fans for her use of improper grammar.

No, seriously. The "Cause y Efecto" singer says she has a good reason for spelling ilusión with a "c" - she wasn't actually the one to tweet the news!

La Rubio admits via Twitter that it was her gringa assistant who actually posted the news:

Queridos followers, en medio d la lluvia d compromisos pedí a mi new asst q es bien gringa mexicana q escribiera para todos mis fans y followers la gran noticia sobre q vamos a ser padres y si al ser escito por alguien americano/mexicana se le fue en mi dictado d algun error d ortagrafia y al tener a todos en la mira por mi y mi nuevo baby!

Well, que isn't really spelled "q" either, but guess what Pauli? No one actually cares about grammar rules on Twitter! Well, maybe your high school English teacher, but we doubt they have many followers. Let's tweet on that!

Paulina Rubio is pregnant!  La chica dorada announced via Twitter this morning that she's going to be a mom!  This announcement — along with Julieta Venegas' baby news — comes just a few days before Mother's Day.

"La vida tiene un nuevo significado. Chicos, quiero confesarles con mucha ilucion a todos mis fans que van a ser TIOS!!! voy a ser mama!!!!! Los amo! -P"

This is the first child for Paulina, who has been married to Spanish PR exec Nicolás Vallejo-Nájera since 2007.  The news broke in today's issue of 'Hola,' who interviewed Paulina about her upcoming motherhood.

"Es una gran noticia para nosotros, nuestras familias, mis fans y toda mi gente, así que aprovechamos esta oportunidad para compartirlo con vosotros."

La cantante mexicana was also spotted today in Spain at a launch event for 'Triumph' underwear, rocking a totally edgy vestido made of what appeared to be rubber...  One thing's for sure, Paulina is going to be one hot mama!  Felicidades Paulina!!  We wish you, y tu nueva familia, all the best!

Looks like there's going to be a lil A.C. Slater running around! Mario Lopez and girlfriend Courtney Laine Mazza announced their wonderful baby news today (March 10th)!

This is the first child for Mario and Courtney; who met on the set of the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line in 2008, when Lopez was filling the role of choreographer/grand inquisitor Zach.

Mario released the following statement:

"Courtney and I couldn't be more excited. I've waited my whole life to be a dad, this is a true blessing. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with my family."

Last week, R&B singer/songwriter The-Dream told MTV News that his baby with wife Christina Milian would be arriving over the weekend. He was almost right: Milian gave birth to daughter Violet on Friday, Milian's rep confirmed.

"It's a girl," The-Dream said excitedly last week. "Violet will be her first name. I'm not telling you the middle name; you're gonna get me in trouble."

Still, The-Dream said it's business as usual in their household. "I've been working like a regular person works in America. They have jobs whether someone's pregnant or not," he laughed. (MTVNews)

Father's Day was extra special for Wisin this year...

The reggaetonero and his wife Yomaira Ortiz welcomed their first hijo named Dylan over the weekend. According to reports, Yomaira gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Friday morning in Puerto Rico. It looks like the “Y Tu Mamá También” duo are about to conquer fatherhood. While Diego Luna's novia and Thalia's niece Camila Sodi is expecting to give birth any day now, Gael García Bernal is also preparing to get a pequeño visit from the stork.

Bernal's longtime girlfriend, Argentinian actress Dolores Fonzi is said to be due this December. Although neither has mentioned a word to the press, friends of both the actors have confirmed that Fonzi is indeed knocked-up.
