Reggaetonero Arcángel dishes about his upcoming solo debut titled "La Maravilla" due out this fall, that will include old material and twelve new tracks. Arcángel said on an interview that his new album will be:

Friendlier to the ears --as much for the kids as for the parents

That sounds great at all, but how can it be kid-friendly if it's got a big 'ol parental advisory stamped on the album cover?

Arcángel claims his debut album is not a reggaeton production but falls more into the Latin urban category.  Whew, glad he cleared that up! [Billboard]

So, turns out reggaeton and hip hop have a lot in common besides an origin in urban music. There's the way in which artists use music to make something out of nothing - that "something" being complete with hot cars, bling and sexy ladies of course. And now, they've even got the rivalries and perpetuating violence between artists in common. Who knew?

The rivalry between reggaetonero Archángel and Polaco has been brewing for quite some time now but now it's gone beyond just "talk" (i.e. lyrics) to the very physical at a concert in Puerto Rico.

If you thought you'd never see De La Ghetto and Arcángel back in the same studio, think again. The album "Caribbean Connection" has brought the dominicano and boricua back together for a new song, “Movimiento Reptil."

Since the duo parted ways De La Ghetto has been pursuing his solo career. The transition hasn't been so easy for him since his inspiration and best friend, Tempo, is currently locked up.
Y de ahí en adelante la amistad fue bien grande, y más porque él tuvo mucha fe en mi. Y yo de verdad, para mi, su talento era increíble. Y de verdad, hicimos una amistad bien chévere.

Que lágrimas!  Even reggaetoneros get sentimental from time to time. Look out for De La Ghetto's album, Libertad y Condena, set to drop this summer. [MTV TR3s Radio Noticias]
