Arcángel may be a romantic, but he is also a family man de corazón.

The "Pa’ Que la Pases Bien" reggaetonero is spending quality time with his niños in Puerto Rico this week after a string of promotional gigs. Besides revealing his love and devotion to his family, Arcángel also gives his rightful props to his mother and ex-member of the old school merengue group Las Chicas Del Can, Carmen Santos. We recently caught-up with the star to hear what he had to say about his inspiration.

The singer states:

Mi mamá fue una inspiración para mi. Ella dejó su carrera, renunció a todo su dinero y fama por darme a luz a mi, ¿no? Hoy en día ninguna artista femenina yo creo estaría dispuesto a abandonar todas esas cosas ¿no? Yo dije ‘cóntrale yo tengo que devolverle a mi mamá todas las cosas que ella renunció por mi.

Arcángel (a.k.a. Austin Santos) is on his game...

The New York native finished wrapping-up an east coast promotional tour for his latest album, "El Fenómeno" yesterday. The newbie reggaetonero hit-up New York and Philadelphia among other cities, and took the time out to meet with fans and sign autographed copies of his compilation. We recently got a chance to catch-up with the performer about his 'underground' tour.

He states:

Tuvimos nueve presentaciones en tan solo tres días. Estamos promoviendo mi primer disco llamado El Fenómeno. Contiene 21 temas. Estoy súper contento por la aceptación del público. El disco está número cinco en el Top Latin Álbum ¿no? No tan solo de reggaeton sino que he entrado a competir dentro de otras ramas de la música y bien contento y bien agradecido con papá Dios por el apoyo del público.

Most smooth operators would never deny believing in love at first sight, but Arcangel is keeping it real with las mujeres by defusing all the hype.

The "Por Amar A Ciegas" reggaetonero recently filmed his latest video in Miami, the epicenter for calendar models and video girls, but the family man admitted to strictly being about business. His romantic swagger and "Agresivo" tunes left us wondering if Arcangel is truly a player de corazón. We sat down with the Dominican newcomer to see what he really thinks about love at first sight.

He admits:

No, I don't believe in it. I write this kind of music so that everyone can identify with it, but it doesn't necessary reflect my own life. Of course, it doesn't mean that there aren't parts of my music that I do relate to...like loving someone with 100% loyalty.

¡Qué sweet! Forget the calle saying, "Players only love you when they’re playing!" Arcangel is leading a new breed of caballeros. Are you feelin' this fella's game?

Remember mi gente, you always hear it here first!

UPDATED: Archangel was set to appear on our "Sucker Free Latino" show last week, but production was postponed due to an altercation with airport police. Our investigative senses were immediately shifted to red alert, and we managed to get all the 411 from the source himself. The Boricua was flying from Puerto Rico to New York when an unidentified popo suddenly pulled a Kanye West and Snoop Dogg on the "Por Amar A Ciegas" estrella.

He reveals:

It was a really weird experience because I always spend my time traveling and this has never happened to me before. No sé porqué me pararon...de verdad. I wasn't even carrying luggage with me. They must have mistaken me for someone else. I am just about the music, I am not in anything illegal or any stupid stuff like that.

When asked if he was handcuffed Archangel clarified:

No, they mentioned that it was a random search. People are very arrogant. I really don't understand why they pulled me aside and made me miss my flight. They must have been cranky or something.

Archangel filed a report in the airport. We think these popo's were probably just hating on all his bling! Arcangel is currently filming for MTV Tr3s in Miami. What do you think about his airport drama?
