America confesses that she doesn't value programming that features catty women and backstabbing:

Like, if you're watching The Hills or 90210, all of the backstabbing shapes the way we act – you go to school, and you think that your job is to find a sworn enemy and be jealous of each other.

In regards to whether she dislikes Blake Lively:

I mean, I love Blake Lively, she’s a wonderful friend of mine, but shows like Gossip Girl kind of condition us to be mean.

Brazilian Victoria Secret model Adriana Lima is strapping on her favorite push-up bra and strutting her goods for the upcoming season of ABC's "Ugly Betty" premiering on Sept. 25th.

It appears that the recently engaged beauty isn't just a model, but she also plays one on television! Adriana will be the cover girl to Mode's "sizzling hot issue." Not a far stretch, but it's better than her pretending that she can actually act!

America Ferrera was flexing her beauty and arm strength at last night's ALMA Awards, which honors la fuerza Latina in television. The "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" actress traded in her faded jeans for the coveted "Entertainer of the Year" award for her lead role in "Ugly Betty." In addition, the entire cast of the ABC comedy celebrated ALMA spirit by winning for "Best Performance in a Television Series" and "Best Director of a Television Series."

Luckily America wasn't the only dama pimpin' out the awards! Shakira was also honored with the "Humanitarian Award" for her philanthropy work in the "Pies Descalzos Foundation." Check out the completed list of winners and get all the 411 before the show airs on September 12th on ABC.

Today Kristin Chenoweth and Neil Patrick Harris name-dropped (the list of los nominados, that is) for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards in North Hollywood, CA.

Our favorite la fea America Ferrera is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her leading role in Ugly Betty. As if anything Salma puts her touch on isn't golden. America won us over with her take on the popular Spanish language telenovela when it crossed over to the U.S.

Other nominees in this category include Tina Fey from 30 Rock, Christina Applegate from Samantha Who? and Julia Louis-Dreyfus from The New Adventures Of Old Christine. We think America has it in the bag, qué piensas?  Viva America!  Go America!  Three Cheers for America! (ok we're officially done with the name pun.)

L.A. crewmembers are furious over Ugly Betty’s move to NYC because of the state’s tax breaks for Hollywood production. The move is expected to bring 200 jobs to New York City; meanwhile 300 jobs will be lost in L.A.! All this trouble just to save ‘the man’ an extra buck? Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger better do something about this or else we’ll be seeing more of Hollywood moving to NYC!
