With all the celebs jetting to Washington D.C. for Obamarama, it's amazing there's anyone left in Hollywood.

On January 17th, the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced that Kanye West, Kid Rock and Fall Out Boy will headline MTV and ServiceNation's Youth Inaugural Ball.  The event, which is airing on MTV Tr3s this Tuesday January 20th at 10PM EST, will broadcast to 162 countries, in 33 languages.

News on Akon's dramatic trial has been heating up since the "Smack That" singer was charged with "endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment" for allegedly throwing a teen fan offstage and injuring an audience member during a concert back in June 2007.

The "Konvicted" star reported to a court hearing this morning, which resulted in Fishkill Town Justice Harold Epstein setting the official trial date for Dec. 1st. If convicted, Akon can be "Locked Up" for a maximum of 1 year and 15 days in prison.

Akon's attorney Andrea Zellan is currently attempting to save her client by reaching a deal outside of court. We hope this fella is counting is rosary beads because his legal troubles are looking mighty hellish right now! [E! Online]

There is no doubt that Colby O'Donis' lyrical pimpin' skills and suave moves have been on full-blast since we last spoke to him in an exclusive interview back in April. Besides getting ready to drop his self-titled debut album on Sept. 16th, the Queens native has managed to skip rookie status by snagging two VMA nominee votes in the categories for "Best New Artist" and "Best Dancing In A Video." In celebration of his noms, Colby will be performing live at the MTV Tr3s VMA party on September 4th!

The fly boy was kind enough to tease his fans during this week's Mi TRL with an electrifying performance of "Don't Turn Back" that is sure to you drooling in your seat. D&D artist Colby O'Donis made us proud otra vez by shining on MTV TRL esta semana during Spankin’ New Music Week. The Boricua cantante didn't appear nervous, but it helped having sidekick/mentor Akon take the stage with him (that's so Diddy of Akon, ain't it?) to perform a Spanish/English hybrid version of his hit single "What You Got." We think Colby O has arrived, booty dancers and all. Check the clip:
