Clearly A.B. Quintanilla wanted his famous late sister to be part of his big wedding day. But wearing a jacket with a giant Selena image on the back may be taking the tribute a bit too far.
In what several gossip sites have described as "tacky," Quintanilla strutted down the aisle for the fourth time flossing his famous hermana for photographers. And interestingly, the Selena exposure wasn't the only reason A.B. was taking heat.
Quintanilla's new bride is a full 25 years younger than him, which means she was only 6-years-old when Selena lost her life. But, judging by the pictures Guanabee posted, these two seem to be head-over-heels for each other.
Images include the two making out in front of the wedding cake, toasting champagne glasses, and posing along Quintanilla padre, Abraham. Judging by the extravagance, it's actually too bad they didn't reach out to Tr3s, as this would've made some great material for Quiero Mi Boda.

Way before there was Ms. Gomez, another Selena stormed the charts with a unique blend of Tejano and Latin rhythms. Tragically, her 1995 murder cut everything short and prevented us from hearing that gorgeous voice sing new music…until now. This past week, Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla confirmed that there are unreleased tracks in the vaults and they will be made public within the next year.
"I own 5 Selena tape masters from pre-EMI times," Quintanilla said. "There's a total of 50 [unedited] songs. We picked 10 of those songs and we're currently working on refreshing the music. We want to rejuvenate their sound, bring them up-to-date."
Keep in mind, the "lost" Selena tracks were made when she was in her mid-teens and may lack the maturity of the songs she recorded shortly before her death. But for her die-hard fans (and there a lot of them), that won't matter.
It is being reported that Selena's brother A.B. Quintanilla is helping to oversee the project and may even be incorporating a few new cumbia elements into the songs. Apparently the game plan is to spread the 50 tracks across five CDs, the first of which should appear by early 2012.

After a three-year hiatus, A.B. Quintanilla and the All Starz are finally back with brand new music today (July 27), with the release of La Vida de un Genio.
The album features a slew of star appearances, including: Marciano Cantero (from los Enanitos Verdes), Julio Voltio & DJ Kane in “Hipnótika” (which was selected as the first single); Los Dinos & José Feliciano in “Nací para Sufrir” (Born to Suffer); Reyli in “Nunca te Voy a Olvidar” (I Will Never Forget You); Luis Enrique in “Invisible,” and many more.

On the album's star power, A.B. had this to say:
“When we decided to make the record, we wrote a list of all the singers that we wanted to invite, imagining that it would be a dream impossible to accomplish. But we were very surprised when all of them started to accept.”
Besides planning the new LP, A.B. spent the last 3 years reconnecting with his family and even dedicated this album to his father who has always believed in him.
“He is the main reason behind my decision to become a musician. When I was really young, a producer that had offered me some songs ended up giving them to someone else. When my father saw me crying over it he told me: ‘Instead of crying you should be writing your own songs. Don’t leave your room until you have one.’”
Sound advice!

PeeWee has publicly confirmed he has no interest in a reunion between himself, A.B. Quintanilla, and Cruz Martinez. We've known for some time that Pee Wee has been focusing on his solo career, but the fact that he hasn't dropped an album as of yet left fans speculating and hoping that he may join forces with his old band mates again.
Pee Wee was recently asked by NXclusiva if he would join forces again with A.B. and Cruz on stage, and had this to say:
“The truth is that I am focused on my career and that would be like taking a step backwards instead of forwards, no?”
We can't argue with that! [LatinGossip]
Mientras tanto, you can catch PeeWee este lunes in a super-especial capítulo de Quiero Mis Quinces, when el cantante makes una quinceañera's biggest dreams come true!! No te lo pierdas, this Monday at 9pm EST!

The Black Eyed Peas are no strangers to hit canciones, pero el grupo has now made chart history by becoming the band with the longest stay at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 ever. After the 12-week run at #1 by "Boom Boom Pow," the Peas replaced themselves at #1 with "I Gotta Feeling" for another 8 weeks and counting. We gotta feeling it won't be The E.N.D. for the eclectic pop super-grupo any time soon!
We sat down with our favorite Pea, Taboo, to get some impressions about their historical chart feat, as well as catch up on some chisme del fabuloso artista, including who he'd like to collaborate with y cuentos de su nuevo hijo, Jimmy Jalen. Read the exclusive Q&A below!
What is it like making Billboard history and having these two songs sit at the top of the charts for 20+ weeks?
First of all, I'm so honored and pleased to have such a great album come out in this day and age of the music industry, and have it be the most successful one to date. As far as the new singles, I am grateful to have such great supporters who have been with us all since 1995, and to all the new Peabodys -- we welcome you to the Black Eyed Peas!
How has the recording experience been different as a solo artist working on T.A.B.O.O. vs. working with the Black Eyed Peas? Do you prefer one experience over another?
As far as recording with my best friends apl, Fergie and will.i.am, it's the greatest feeling of accomplishment and I love every minute of it... It's not the same working on my solo. It's not as exciting.
Are there any Latin artists you would like to collaborate with on the new album?
I would love to work with Café Tacuba, Marc Anthony, Juanes, Calle 13, RBD, Pitbull, A. B. Quintanilla, Cruz Martinez and Maná.
Felicitaciones to you and your wife on the recent birth of your baby! Will you raise him to be bilingual?
YES! My son Jalen will speak Filipino (Tagalog) and Spanish!
What message do you have for Latinos celebrating su cultura this September for Hispanic Heritage Month? How will you celebrate your Mexican roots?
I will be representing for all Latinos and give a great Spanish speech when we win those Billboard Awards and them Grammys!! As far as advice to all the Latinos coming up, stay true to yourself and don't let anyone say you can't do it! Dream big and live life to your fullest potential...
Taboo can chant "Si Se Puede!" with the best of them! Keep it locked for more news on The Black Eyed Peas and Taboo!
Pee Wee is on a mission to set the record straight about the legal battle concerning his solo career. Despite the fact that his former bandmates the Kumbia All-Starz offered him their blessing for flying solo back in February, he can’t seem to wrangle his way through the record label red tape. Turns out, Pee Wee is still contractually bound to his original deal with EMI, which has yet to expire.

Producer of Los Super Reyes Cruz Martínez has a great band but what's in a band if you don't have a lead singer? Well apparently that's the problema Martínez is having now that his group's lead singer Nando, left the band cause of Martínez's controlling behavior. Aye please, there's just too much drama coming from the Kumbia clan (Martínez and Quintanilla were once co-founders of Los Kumbia Kings). First Pee-Wee's tearful confession about A.B. Quintanilla and how he wasn't paid while in the group, and now Cruz Martínez is being blamed for being too controlling in the creative process that it's suffocating his members to the brink of break-up madness. The dramz is all over the place with the Kumbia guys. Qué será, será. [People en Español]

Some nasty words were said to A.B. Quintanilla when the singer was out and about in San Antonio, Texas with his girlfriend and friends. What had happen was A.B. was chillin’ right, and then all of a sudden this psychopath comes along and starts talking smack about A.B.’s Mexican raza, his moms, and more shockingly, his late sister Selena! Oh snap, that loco must have gotten the beat down of his life right? Actually, no! Though the insults were harsh, A.B. was man enough to avoid any physical altercation and told the unknown individual to back off, politely. Shoot, we would have gotten spoons, belts, and chancletas and knock that dude out! But respect for A.B. since he was man and mature enough to settle the beef peacefully. We should probably give peace a chance as well, eh? [MTV Tr3s Radio]

We love it when celebs show us their funny side. Don’t they look more down-to-earth? Check out this hilarious video from A.B. Quintanilla donning a cheesy superhero costume on his Artist Speaking Tr3s page. We laughed so hard we nearly choked on our tacos. That’s right, tacos…Mmmm. While watching the video, look out for some random chavo in an orange shirt who pops into the scene out of nowhere. Why is he there?! He’s just so completely random, which makes it super funny. Que chistoso. [MTV Tr3s]
